Ultraman: It turns out this is the easy mode.

Chapter 1334 Hikari: Hey bro, guess what I upgraded!

Hikari began by investigating the defects of the body Lilith was using.

Inside the laboratory, various instruments emitted a low hum, and blue energy light flowed across the walls.

Hikari, dressed in a white lab coat, held a data tablet in his hand, his gaze rapidly shifting between the screen and Lilith. A holographic projection floated in front of him, with dense gene chains and data streams cascading down like a waterfall, updating the analysis results every second.

After all, they have the same stats as Rei Ayanami.
Lilith slumped on the specially designed examination table, her body stiff, her eyes staring blankly at the ceiling. Her body was created using Rei Ayanami's cloning technology; her genetic sequence, cellular structure, and even the way her soul and body connected were identical to the blue-haired girl's. This meant that Hikari only needed to analyze Lilith's defects to trace the root cause of Rei Ayanami's inability to eat flesh—killing two birds with one stone.

Hikari is still very fast.

In less than half an hour, the data on the holographic projection began to reassemble, forming a complete analysis report. Hikari's eyes gleamed behind his glasses, and he muttered to himself, "Interesting."

Cui Ming did not hide the existence of Hikari.

Representatives from various countries sent inquiries via encrypted channels, tentatively asking about the origins of the life form of light that had suddenly appeared at NERV headquarters, radiating a dangerous aura. Cui Ming sat in the conference room, facing the several anxious faces on the screen, his tone as calm as if he were introducing a new cleaner.

I just said it directly when I was chatting with people: This is something that can blow up a planet. If you don't want your planet anymore, you can mess with it.

“Hikari, a scientist from the Land of Light,” Cui Ming picked up his water glass and took a sip, his gaze sweeping over every face on the screen, “top-notch research capabilities, and not bad combat abilities either. You can think of him as someone who could wipe Earth out of the Milky Way with a flick of his finger. So, if you don’t want this planet anymore, feel free to mess with him. I won’t stop you.”

Then all the countries simply pretended that Hikari didn't exist.

The representatives on the screen fell silent, as if a pause button had been pressed. A few seconds later, they all lowered their heads, pretending to organize documents, pretending to have a bad signal, pretending to have something urgent to deal with, and disconnected one after another. It was as if as long as they didn't look, didn't ask, didn't think, the scientist of light who could destroy planets would disappear on his own, never noticing them again.

We can't beat the monsters already, and now Ultraman is here too.
After hanging up the phone, the intelligence chief of a major power slumped in his chair, staring blankly at the ceiling. His mind raced through everything that had recently happened: apostles, monsters, extradimensional beings, cosmic assassins—each one enough to cause the military a massive headache. They couldn't even handle those, and now Ultraman had appeared, a research-oriented Ultraman at that. How were they supposed to survive?
It would be best if others could help, but if not, they should at least ensure global security.

The supervisor sighed, grabbed the coffee on the table, and downed it in one gulp, his brow furrowing from the bitterness. He muttered to himself, staring at the empty conference room, "We can't afford to mess with him, really. Just treat him like he's invisible. No, treat him like air. No, treat him like a god. Whatever you do, don't let him notice us."

Inside the laboratory, Hikari was completely unaware that he had been designated as a top-level untouchable object by all of humanity. He was excitedly approaching Lilith, who was cowering in a corner, holding a syringe that was slightly thinner than before.

"One more tube, please! This time I promise I'll use the small one!"

"Get out of here!!!"

Cui Ming did not lie.

Hikari, thanks to that bastard Triumph, already possessed a plethora of outrageous inventions. Any one of them could drive any normal scientist insane. From a portable device capable of distorting spacetime (which nearly turned D'Artagnan into a monster by draining its blood), to a bizarre instrument that could extract the souls of living beings to use as batteries (this was something Triumph needed, mainly to deal with scum like Emporio), to a prototype supposedly capable of "slightly" altering the cosmological constant (this thing was personally sealed away by the King of Ultra, who also took the opportunity to beat up Hikari), each one bore a red "maximum danger" label.

Hikari himself didn't care about this at all. He always felt that if the power wasn't great enough, it wasn't perfect. As for the side effects? That was the user's problem, not the invention's problem.

He even upgraded the Saturn Z, which was made on Earth!
That was originally MAT's ultimate weapon, a single shot capable of wiping out a city, humanity's last resort to take down monsters in times of despair. But Hikari spent only an afternoon in the lab dismantling its core, stuffing it with some kind of energy crystal brought from the Land of Light, and casually modifying a few circuits.

When he reassembled it, the paint job on the surface was unchanged, but the internal energy readings skyrocketed, jumping from "city level" to "planet level".

What was originally meant to blow up cities has now become capable of blowing up planets.

When Cui Ming discovered this, Hikari was holding the upgraded Saturn Z, excitedly showing off his new toy like a child: "Look! I only made three small changes, and the power has increased four thousand times! Now it can not only blow up cities, but also overturn the core of this planet! Isn't it perfect?"

The alarms in the lab flashed wildly because of his words, and the red light shone on everyone's pale faces.

Cui Ming walked over expressionlessly and snatched the thing from Hikari's hand, his movements so fast that the other man was stunned.

"Critically, this thing was confiscated."

Cui Ming's voice was as calm as if he were dealing with an expired document. He looked down at the inconspicuous metal cylinder in his hand, then locked it in a specially made lead alloy safe, entered an eighteen-digit password, and added three biometric locks.

After doing all this, he turned to look at Hikari, his eyes as cold as if he were looking at a dangerous arsonist.

"From now on, you are not allowed to touch any human weapons on Earth," Cui Ming said, emphasizing each word. "Their trump cards for survival are not meant to be turned into suicide bombs by you."

Hikari opened his mouth, wanting to argue, "But the greater the power, the better!"

"If the power is so great that it blows up the Earth, where will we live?" Cui Ming interrupted him, turned around and walked out, carrying the safe in his hand. "You continue to study Lilith's blood. If I find you messing around with the human weapons arsenal again, I will put you back in the combat device and let Gomora play with you for three days."

Hikari shrank back and finally shut his mouth.

The upgraded Saturn Z was personally sent by Cui Ming to the deepest, most secure warehouse, locked up alongside a pile of equally dangerous contraband, and no one dared to open it again. (End of Chapter)
