Chapter 754 Alien Nackle: A Bad Premonition

Chapter 754 Alien Nackle: A Bad Premonition

Watching the little girl and Kotaro chat idly, Cui Ming felt speechless. The little girl talked about funny things at school and occasionally giggled at Kotaro's jokes, but Cui Ming knew that it was all the little girl's own will that was in control. The Katan alien hidden inside her was probably holding back a lot of anger, but didn't dare to utter a sound.

He glanced at Kotaro, who was listening intently and nodding in agreement from time to time. His completely trusting demeanor made Cui Ming mutter to himself: "Kotaro is too trusting of others."

However, upon further reflection, Kotaro couldn't be entirely blamed. The little girl's behavior was indeed impeccable; her emotions were natural, and her reactions were no different from any other child. If he hadn't been exceptionally sensitive to the aura of aliens, he probably wouldn't have noticed anything amiss. The key issue was that the Catan alien within the little girl was the one harboring malicious intent, but it was currently like a quail with its neck choked, cowering deep within its consciousness, too afraid to move.

Cui Ming stroked his chin, understanding dawning on him. It seemed that his presence was indeed a strong deterrent to that Catan alien. It was probably terrified by its previous experience and knew that as long as he was there, any tricks it tried would be futile, so it obediently held back, not daring to reveal even a trace of killing intent.

"That's good," Cui Ming thought to himself. "It's a good opportunity to observe for a while longer and see if Kotaro can realize that something is wrong on his own. It will also let the Katan aliens experience the fear of helplessness."

Meanwhile, the Catan aliens were on the verge of collapse.

"Damn it! You beast! You're such a beast!!!" It roared madly in the little girl's mind, but couldn't utter a single sound. Cui Ming stood quietly not far away, like a cold stone statue, yet this statue alone didn't give it the courage to even move a finger. "I can't even move when this Storm One is standing there!" The energy within her body seemed frozen, and she could barely maintain even the most basic disguise. The little girl's body was trembling slightly, whether from fear or from being affected by its emotions, she didn't know.

Help!!!! The Catan alien felt itself being crushed by this invisible pressure. It frantically sent out distress signals to its companions: Nackle aliens, come and help! Even one of you could take me down with you! It's better than waiting to die here!

However, the situation wasn't much better for the Nackle aliens either.

They were indeed observing from the shadows, but their observation point was set up on the rooftop of a tall building several kilometers away, watching from afar with high-powered telescopes. There was no other way; Cui Ming's power was simply too terrifying. Those who dared to observe him up close had already turned into cosmic dust. With such a precedent before them, they didn't dare risk their own lives.

"See? I told you Storm One wasn't to be trifled with. Now even the Catan aliens are paralyzed with fear," a Nackle alien said in a low voice, his tone carrying a hint of schadenfreude mixed with a sense of shared misfortune.

Another Nacklerian gripped the telescope tightly, his eyes behind the lens filled with apprehension: "Don't gloat. Once it's dealt with the Catanians, we might be next. We'd better think of a way to slip away right under its nose."

On the distant street, Cui Ming seemed to sense something and suddenly glanced up in the direction of the tall building. Despite being several kilometers away, the Nackle alien was so frightened that he immediately crouched down, not daring to breathe. Only after that gaze moved away did he dare to secretly peek out half his head to continue observing the situation, praying in his heart that the Katan alien could hold on a little longer.

Hiding on the rooftop of a tall building, the Nackle aliens watched through their binoculars as Cui Ming's casual glance sent shivers down their spines, their hearts filled with terror. "That Storm One is like a ghost!" one of the Nackle aliens whispered, his voice trembling with fear. "Do you think he has clairvoyance? We're so far away, yet he can sense everything. He could suddenly pounce out at any moment, it's terrifying!"

Another Nackle alien took a deep breath, trying to calm his wildly beating heart, and chimed in, "That's right! Our companion was like that before. One second he was discussing how to act, and the next second he would appear out of nowhere. You can imagine what happened. Now, just thinking about him sends chills down my spine. I always feel like he might appear behind us at any moment."

They huddled tightly against the edge of the rooftop, their bodies curled up in a ball, terrified that Cui Ming would spot them. Through the binoculars, Cui Ming's figure wasn't very clear, but the invisible pressure emanating from him seemed to penetrate the distance, making them tremble.

"If I had known Storm One was this wicked, I would never have agreed to let the Catan aliens assassinate Taro. This isn't an assassination, it's practically suicide!" another Nackle alien complained, his eyes filled with regret.

They chattered amongst themselves, all expressing their fear of Cui Ming. In their eyes, Cui Ming was like an omnipresent ghost, who could suddenly appear at any moment and deliver a fatal blow. This unknown fear made them restless.

Cui Ming's gaze lingered on the high-rise building for a few seconds, and the subtle sense of being spied on made a cold smile curl at the corner of his mouth—the Nackle aliens were indeed watching from the shadows. He turned to look at Kotaro, who was still talking to the little girl, and patted him on the shoulder: "Kotaro, I have to go take care of something. You stay here and keep an eye on things, don't let this child run too far."

Kotaro paused for a moment, then nodded: "Okay, Captain, you go ahead, I'll take care of things here." He hadn't noticed anything amiss, assuming that Cui Ming had official business to attend to.

Cui Ming didn't say anything more, turned around and walked towards the street corner, his figure quickly blending into the crowd. But in the Nackle aliens' telescope, the figure seemed to have vanished into thin air—the next second, the ventilation duct on the roof of the high-rise building suddenly made a crisp "clang" sound, and a dark figure rolled out from inside, it was Cui Ming.

"Who?!" The Nackle alien was so frightened that the telescope in his hand fell to the ground with a "thud".

Cui Ming dusted himself off, flexed his wrists, and walked towards them. His voice was calm but carried a chilling undertone: "Watching the show from this far away, you certainly know how to find a good spot." The pebbles at his feet were crushed into powder by the invisible air pressure. "I heard you guys chatting quite animatedly down there. Want to continue?"

As the Nackle aliens watched Cui Ming approach step by step, their legs trembled. They wanted to run, but found their bodies were nailed to the spot. They could only watch helplessly as the figure that terrified them to the bone drew closer and closer. Just moments ago, they were complaining that Cui Ming was like a ghost, but now this ghost had actually appeared before them, leaving them no time to even regret their actions.
