Chapter 820 Kotaro: Aliens are shameless!

Noticing the landlord's still tense expression, Higashi Kotaro gently waved his hand to reassure him, "Don't worry, we just came to check the situation and confirm that something fell earlier. It shouldn't be a big problem." After saying that, he glanced around again—the fallen leaves on the lawn were still naturally scattered, and only a few leaves on the bushes not far away were swaying slightly. He couldn't see Pikachu at all, and even the shallow scratch mark from the fall had been mostly covered by the fine soil blown by the wind.

"Could it have run away after falling?" Kotaro wondered to himself. Just as he was about to take out his communicator to report the current situation to Cui Ming, Spike beside him suddenly moved. It abandoned its previous nonchalant attitude while watching the commotion, its ears stood straight up, its nose pressed against the ground as it sniffed rapidly, and its fluffy tail was taut, clearly having caught a peculiar scent.

Seeing its appearance, Kotaro immediately held his breath and quietly followed behind. Spike circled the crash site twice, then suddenly looked up sharply towards the alley behind the apartment building, a look of certainty flashing in its bright black eyes, and its tail wagged rapidly twice—its unique signal when it found its target!

confirmed! ! !
Spike stopped, turned to look at Kotaro, sniffed the alleyway again, and let out a low growl, as if to clearly say: It's that alien!!!
Kotaro's spirits lifted instantly. He quickly walked to the alley entrance and peered out. He saw a small figure huddled by a trash can deep in the alley. Its blue skin stood out in the dim light. It was Pikachu, the one they were looking for!
Picoru, huddled next to the trash can, was muttering to himself, hugging his knees, trying to figure out how to contact Hertz's Comet. Out of the corner of his eye, he suddenly caught sight of Spike appearing at the alley entrance—that big dog with shiny fur and sharp eyes. Just standing there, it exuded an aura that was not to be trifled with, instantly reminding him of the fear of being targeted by a cannon in space earlier.

"Aaaaah!" Pikachu was so frightened that he didn't have time to think. He scrambled to his feet and ran wildly into the depths of the alley. His blue figure darted through the narrow alley, without even daring to look back.

In his eyes, this suddenly appearing dog was more frightening than any monster in the universe. After all, monsters at least look "obvious," while the aura emanating from this dog, which made even thugs tremble with fear, was simply too oppressive.

Spike frowned instantly when he saw the alien run away as soon as it saw him—what kind of normal visitor would be so flustered?

Nine times out of ten, they have something to hide!
It immediately put on the "Iron Teeth and Copper Fangs" that Cui Ming had given it before. It was a specially made alloy mouthguard that could not only protect the teeth, but also increase its intimidation when it got close. The moment the metal gums that gleamed coldly in the sunlight were revealed, its aura was instantly at its peak.

"Woof!" Spike barked and charged towards the direction Pikachu had fled, its paws stomping rapidly on the concrete. It was already convinced this was a wicked alien trying to cause trouble, and it was determined to stop it and interrogate it together when Kotaro arrived. It was completely unaware that this was just a misunderstanding caused by its "good looks."

Pico, hearing the approaching footsteps behind him, was so frightened that tears almost welled up in his eyes. As he ran, he cried out in his heart, "Why are all the dogs on Earth so fierce! I'm just a tourist!" He stumbled and almost fell into the roadside ditch. He could only try to speed up, but his short legs were no match for Spike, who had been trained for many years. The distance between them was about to be closed.

Spike chased closely behind Pico, the sound of his claws stomping on the cobblestones like rapid drumbeats. Just as he was about to catch up with the small figure, a soft metallic clanging sound suddenly came from the alley entrance.

Out of the corner of its eye, it saw three aliens with compound eyes and large bags surrounding a hovercar parked by the roadside. One of them was using a laser cutter to pry open the car door, stuffing the valuables scattered inside into their bags—clearly, they were stealing while no one was around. Spike was already seething with anger because of the "alien escape," and seeing this group of thieves made it even less lenient. It didn't slow down, but as it passed by, it suddenly turned its head, and with a "click," its iron and copper teeth snapped into the arm of the alien closest to the roadside.

"Holy crap?!" The alien was focused on picking the lock and hadn't noticed the dog charging at him from behind. The moment it bit him, he was completely stunned. The cutter in his hand clattered to the ground, and his eyes widened in disbelief and terror. "Where did this dog come from?!"

The other two aliens were also startled. Just as they were about to step forward to help, they heard their companion, who was being bitten, let out a heart-wrenching scream: "Ah—! It hurts! It hurts! Are its teeth made of iron?! It's going to break! My arm is going to break!" The alloy teeth were firmly embedded in his arm, causing him to cry out in pain. He struggled to shake it off, but Spike's bite force far exceeded that of an ordinary dog, and no matter how much he shook it, it wouldn't budge.

Spike shook his head, still holding the man in his mouth, as if dealing with some kind of trash, until the alien was in so much pain he almost fainted. Only then did he release him and let him fall to the ground. He then turned to the other two terrified thieves and bared his teeth, revealing gleaming, cold iron teeth.

"Run! Run!" The two aliens dared not linger. They didn't even care about the loot that had fallen to the ground. They dragged their injured companion and scrambled away, their screams echoing through the alley.

Hearing the pitiful scream, Pikachu was terrified. His legs seemed to spring to life, and he ran more than twice as fast as before. His blue figure darted through the alley like lightning, with only one thought in his mind: I'm doomed! This dog is not only fierce, but it bites! If I get bitten, I'm definitely done for! He didn't even dare to look back, only knowing to rush forward with all his might, almost losing his sense of direction.

Meanwhile, Kotaro Higashi had just reached the alley entrance when he stumbled upon the three aliens fleeing in disarray, along with the laser cutter scattered on the ground and the stolen goods they hadn't had time to take. Then, seeing the green bodily fluid belonging to the aliens still in Spike's mouth, he was completely stunned, and a speechless feeling welled up in his heart.

"Damn it!" Higashi Kotaro couldn't help but curse, bending down to pick up the cutter from the ground. Looking at the indicator light still flashing on it, his brows furrowed so deeply they could trap a fly. "Are aliens these days so shameless?!"

He simply couldn't understand it—these guys were beings capable of traversing interstellar space and freely navigating the universe; they could easily exchange some of their space technology for a considerable amount of resources on Earth, yet they'd stooped to stealing things from roadside hovercars?!

"You're aliens!" Higashi Kotaro exclaimed, his voice filled with disbelief as he pointed in the direction the aliens had fled. "They come to Earth either to invade, to make a deal, or even to travel—that's normal. But what the hell is this—stealing things?!" (End of Chapter)
