Ultraman: It turns out this is the easy mode.

Chapter 822 You Can Always Trust Bruce

Pico was still running forward desperately, his short blue legs churning the ground at lightning speed, all he could hear was his own panting and Spike's increasingly close footsteps behind him. But whether it was some kind of cheat code or Earth secretly "helping him," all sorts of absurd situations kept popping up along the way, keeping Spike firmly in his way.

Just as I turned the first street corner, there was a sudden "crash" sound ahead—a food delivery bicycle lost control and crashed into a fruit stand on the side of the road. Apples and oranges were scattered all over the ground, and the stall owner was so anxious that he jumped up and down, and almost tripped over the tilted handlebars.

Spike initially intended to rush over, but upon seeing the old man about to fall, he instinctively stopped, first bracing the bicycle with his body, and then helping to retrieve the rolled fruit back into the basket. By the time Spike finished dealing with this mess, Pikachu had already run two blocks away, leaving only a small shadow lingering in the distance.

Just as they turned into the second alley following the shadow, two masked robbers suddenly rushed out and dragged a girl into the shadows, pulling her bag along. The girl screamed in terror, and the robbers brandished knives, threatening passersby.

Spike couldn't stand this. He immediately forgot about chasing Piccolo and charged forward, baring his iron teeth. He bit the wrist of the robber on the left, causing the robber to yell and drop his knife. Spike then turned and slapped the robber on the right on the back, knocking him to his knees.

By the time it pinned the two robbers to the ground and waited for passersby to call the police, Pikachu had already vanished, leaving only a few hurried footprints on the ground.

After finally following the footprints to the commercial street, just as they saw Pikachu, an alien suddenly appeared, brandishing an energy gun and robbing a jewelry store. Glass shards were scattered all over the floor, and the shop assistants cowered behind the counter in fright.

Spike narrowed his eyes, abandoning his pursuit of Pikachu, and charged towards the robber—just as the alien was about to fire, Spike bit the gun barrel, swung it violently, and the energy gun slammed against the wall and exploded into pieces. Spike then slapped the alien, sending him spinning three times before he slumped to the ground, dazed, and was subdued by the arriving mall security guards. When Spike looked up again, Pikachu had already disappeared into the bustling market, vanishing without a trace.

Meanwhile, Pikachu, running ahead, was internally screaming, "Damn legs! Run the hell out of here!!!"

He had no time to care about what was happening behind him; all he knew was that every time he was about to be caught, a new commotion would stop the vicious dog. He even wondered if he had triggered some kind of "Earth's lucky buff," swinging his arms with all his might, not even noticing that his shoes were wearing out, only thinking about getting as far away from Spike as possible.

As he ran, he failed to notice the construction sign ahead and crashed into a makeshift metal fence with a thud, falling dazed to the ground. Just as he was about to get up and continue running, he heard familiar footsteps behind him—Spike had finally escaped all his troubles, standing panting in front of him, his metal teeth gleaming coldly. Looking at the dog's face so close to his, Pikachu instantly despaired: "It's over. I really can't escape this time."

Spike felt like he was holding back a fire in his chest, his breath coming out heavily through his nose, clearly filled with anger. He stared intently at the dazed Picoru in front of him, his tail taut, a low growl emanating from his throat, looking like he was about to pounce at any moment. "Woof! Woof woof!" (Damn it, you've got guts! I chased you all the way here!!!) Spike took a step forward, his paws stomping softly on the ground, his eyes full of impatience and rage—if this little guy hadn't kept running around, he wouldn't have been busy cleaning up the mess, stopping robbers and catching thieves, and now his whole body was a little sore.

Seeing Spike's ferocious appearance, Picolu's heart nearly leaped out of his chest. He instinctively took a step back, pressing his back tightly against the cold metal fence, barely daring to breathe. He could clearly see the cold glint of Spike's metallic teeth and the undisguised rage in his eyes, fearing that he would be beaten to a pulp by this dog at any moment.

Fortunately, Spike only vented his anger and didn't actually hit him. It took a deep breath and pulled out a specially made mini phone from the small backpack hanging around its neck—this was specially prepared for it by Cui Ming, with buttons sized for dog paw operation and the ability to automatically convert dog language into voice signals.

Spike tapped a few times with its paws, dialed Cui Ming's number, and then barked "woof woof woof" into the receiver. Its tone was urgent and somewhat aggrieved, as if it was complaining to Cui Ming about its terrible experience chasing Picoru and reporting that it had now brought the target under control.

Choi Myung listened patiently on the other end of the phone, occasionally responding with a few words. His voice came through the receiver: "I understand. The support has already set off and will be there soon. As for the robbers and thieves you dealt with along the way, I've already had my team clean up the mess. Don't worry about it."

Upon hearing this, Spike relaxed slightly and called out twice into the receiver, as if confirming the follow-up arrangements.

Finally, Cui Ming's voice was filled with obvious praise: "Well done, Spike! Not only did you prevent that alien from escaping, but you also took care of so much trouble. I'll give you a bonus when you get back."

Spike's eyes lit up, its tail wagging involuntarily, its previous anger largely subsided. It put away its phone, turned and glared at Pikachu as if to say, "Consider yourself lucky," then stood guard nearby, preventing Pikachu from escaping again, waiting for reinforcements to arrive. Seeing Spike's attitude soften, Pikachu secretly breathed a sigh of relief, but still dared not move, obediently staying in place, praying that reinforcements would arrive quickly—even being caught was better than facing this ferocious dog.

How could Cui Ming possibly criticize Spike! In his eyes, Spike's performance this time was flawless. Not only did he perfectly complete the mission of tracking the aliens, but he also took care of the robbers, car thieves, and aliens who robbed the jewelry store on the way. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that he "exceeded expectations." Spike did an excellent job!
After hanging up Spike's call, Cui Ming looked at the photos of the scene that had just been sent back from the operations room—the robbers subdued by Spike were obediently squatting on the ground, the aliens who stole things were bruised and battered and were being controlled by the team members, and even the chaotic fruit stand had been tidied up by Spike—and couldn't help but smile slightly.

Bruce is a magical existence
Although Cui Ming calls him Spike
