Initially, this team was not positioned as a traditional combat force, but rather as a non-armed investigation team, deviating from the conventional concept of an Earth Defense Force. Director Sawai's initial proposal was to form an expert team with the core mission of investigating "paranormal phenomena." Therefore, the team assembled top scientists from multiple interdisciplinary fields, including linguistics, physics, and computer technology. Its core objective is to respond to and investigate "paranormal phenomena, mysterious events, and difficult incidents" covering the Earth, and, when necessary, to provide effective technical support and countermeasures to solve these problems. After all, in this world, in addition to monsters and alien threats, paranormal events such as "hauntings" frequently occur, requiring the intervention of specialized forces.

However, with the frequent appearance of monsters, the situation has fundamentally changed. The GUTS team, which used to focus on investigation, had to transform into a combat-capable force. Even so, it is still significantly different from a force that specializes in large-scale operations. When a combat-specific force is deployed, it is often accompanied by intense "large-scale" confrontations, while the GUTS team, whose members are mostly domain experts, has a combat style that is more inclined towards "precision response" and "technical support".

Because most of the members of the Victory Team are scientists or technical talents rather than professional combatants, in order to ensure the safety of these elites and improve the team's overall combat capabilities, Cui Ming took the initiative to undertake their training.

Megumi Kijima (Captain): As the core leader of the team, her combat prowess is beyond question. He and Tetsuo Shinjo are the team's recognized "complaint partners," often bringing a touch of lightness to tense missions. In the past, he collaborated with Dr. Reiko Kashiwamura to research and improve weapons against monsters; during missions, he always acts from a scientist's perspective, upholding the unwavering belief that "science will not betray people," providing precise technical support for combat.

Tetsuo Shinjo (Pilot): Born in Okinawa, he often speaks with an Okinawan accent and is a passionate man who is exceptionally sensitive to emotions. He and Rena Nanase graduated from the same top military academy and possess superb fighter piloting skills. He is an important force in the GUTS air combat force and can control fighter jets to complete highly difficult missions in complex battlefield environments.

Nanase Rena (Pilot): Also a graduate of the top military academy "Team Member Training Institute," she possesses exceptional skills in independently piloting various types of fighter jets, and her aerial combat capabilities are comparable to those of Shinjo Tetsuo. However, she holds differing opinions on the TPC and GUTS's trend of continuously strengthening their military power, constantly pondering the question of "whether monsters can coexist with humans," believing that all life on Earth should coexist and thrive—a concept highly aligned with Choi Myeong's "Earth Ecological Defense Theory," making her a staunch supporter of this theory. Nozue Yasumi (Logistics/Communications Support): Born in the Sakuragaoka region, he is the youngest member of the team. He is enthusiastic but easily influenced by others, appearing somewhat inexperienced. However, he is extremely talented in his field—he developed "Akashic Records," the information retrieval system used to collect various data at the base, and excels in computer operation, video games, and programming. In daily missions, he rarely goes directly to the front lines, instead staying at the base to oversee logistics and communications, providing real-time data and information support to frontline members.

Daigo Madoka (New Member/Pilot): Intelligent and cheerful, he previously served in the TPC Transportation Department. Two years ago, his courage and judgment were recognized by higher-ups for his heroic participation in the rescue of Director Seito Sawai, who had been abducted by aliens, and he was subsequently transferred to the GUTS team as a new member. After about six months of training, thanks to his innate ambition and superb learning ability, he quickly mastered fighter jet operation skills, and his flying skills are now comparable to those of Tetsuo Shinjo and Rena Nanase, making him an important supplement to the GUTS team's air power.
