Chapter 88: Practicing Hundred Arts
"Dharma, the method of cultivation."

"Wealth, cultivation resources."

"Compatriots, fellow practitioners."

"Earth, a blessed land."

"Food, clothing, shelter, transportation, Dharma, wealth, companions, and land, these eight things are closely related to ordinary people and monks. As long as any one of them is achieved, great merit can be achieved."

"Take the human race as an example. Among the three ancestors of the human race, Suiren was successful in food, Youchao was successful in shelter, and Ziyi was successful in clothing. They all had great merits."

"Among the Three Sovereigns, the Heavenly Emperor created the innate Eight Trigrams, and explained the mysteries of the birth and death of the universe, and achieved success through the law. The Earthly Emperor combed the earth's veins, cultivated the five grains, and tasted hundreds of herbs, and successively achieved success through the earth and food."

"The Emperor Xuanyuan unified the human race, built cars and boats, spun silk into clothes, and made crowns. He had merits in clothing and travel."

"Take cultivators as an example. The Taoist founder opened up the immortal path in Kunlun Mountain to spread the teachings. He founded the Xuanmen to gather fellow cultivators and gather their luck."

"Among them, preaching corresponds to the Dharma, luck corresponds to wealth, fellow practitioners corresponds to companions, and Kunlun Mountain corresponds to the land. It can be said that it combines the four essentials of Dharma, wealth, companions and land in one, meeting the needs of cultivators, and naturally has infinite merits and infinite luck."

"It's about the founding of religions and teachings by saints like our Master, the birth of the three innate races, and the establishment of the Heavenly Palace, etc."

"Although each has its own purpose, they all essentially meet the needs of the monks and provide them with the four essentials for cultivation: Dharma, wealth, companions, and land."

"When disciples create currency, they are actually catering to the wealth in the Dharma, Wealth, Companions and Earth. And the lineage of earth immortals and the arrangement of earth veins are all catering to the land in it."

Ao Bing spoke eloquently and explained his ideas to Master Tongtian. In his opinion, it is not difficult to gain merit and luck. Simply put, it is to meet the needs.

To gain merit, one needs to cater to the needs of heaven and earth. What heaven and earth need is nothing more than promoting the evolution of the wild world and making it more perfect.

If you want to gain luck, you need to cater to the needs of living beings. What living beings need is nothing more than food, clothing, shelter, transportation, Dharma, wealth, companions and land.

It is difficult to cater to the needs of heaven and earth and promote their evolution, but it is much easier to cater to the needs of living beings, change their food, clothing, shelter and transportation, and provide them with Dharma, wealth, companions and land.

As long as they think more, many people can do it. It's just that some people have limited abilities and can influence fewer lives, so the luck they get is limited.

But some people have great abilities and can influence most of the creatures in the world, so they enjoy infinite luck.

For example, when the Taoist founder established the path to immortality and preached to all living beings, he directly gathered infinite luck and infinite merits.

"Food, clothing, shelter, Dharma, wealth, companions, and land!"

"That's a good summary. Aren't these eight words what all living beings are looking for when they are busy making a living?"

"You can see through all this, no wonder you can come up with so many meritorious deeds. You may not understand the way of heaven as well as I do, but you definitely understand human nature better than I do."

"You have fully understood the true meaning of humanity. Your future achievements will be no less than that of a teacher."

After listening to Ao Bing's summary, Tongtian Sect Master sighed sincerely. He can understand what people need, and he obviously understands the human nature.

The Way of Heaven, the Way of Earth, and the Way of Man are just different in terms of authority, but in reality, there is no hierarchy. They can be regarded as the three personalities of the will of the wild. The Way of Heaven governs the heaven and earth, the Way of Earth breeds all things, and the Way of Man gives birth to all spirits.

There is no high or low in the three ways, as long as you reach the end, you can achieve the highest position. The Six Saints are just like this, they reached the extreme of the Way of Heaven, and then they became saints, and taught the world on behalf of the Way of Heaven.

The same is true for Hou Tu Niangniang, who reached the pinnacle of the earth, strived to be the highest in the earth, and created all things.

And now, Ao Bing also has such signs. Based on what he has summarized, Master Tongtian feels that as long as he carries it out, sooner or later he will be able to touch the ultimate edge of humanity, become the Holy Emperor of Humanity, and rule over all spirits.

"Master, you are too kind. If I can have one tenth of your ability in the future, my life will be worthwhile. I will never dare to compare myself with you."

Ao Bing heard Master Tongtian's sigh and said very humbly.

"The troublesome merit you just mentioned, do you mean to allow Jiejiao disciples to go out and establish their own sects?"

"This is a good idea. Letting them go out and spread out will not only expand our Jiejiao tradition, but also promote the immortal way. At the same time, we can also gain the merit of preaching and educating them."

"It's a pity that although I have many disciples in Jiejiao, there are only a few who are qualified to start their own lineage and inherit the tradition."

Patriarch Tongtian did not take Ao Bing's humble words seriously. Instead, he asked about his plans and how he would gain merit for the other disciples of Jiejiao.

Combined with what Ao Bing said before, in Tongtian Patriarch's opinion, his method is nothing more than to let the disciples of Jiejiao go out and establish their own sects.

If one wants to establish a sect, one must first choose a treasure land with many resources, and then recruit disciples and pass on the Taoism.

This set of rules provides the four essentials of Dharma, wealth, companionship and land for the disciples who come to worship the master, meeting their needs. In this way, they can gather their luck and further seek merits of teaching.

"Of course not!" Ao Bing replied.

It has to be said that Master Tongtian’s ideas are in line with the laws of development of the times.

Because after the Conferred God Killing Tribulation is over, almost all of the saints’ disciples will choose to go out and found a new sect, pass down the Taoist tradition, in order to gather luck and merit.

However, although what Master Tongtian thought was a true portrayal of future generations, it was not suitable for the present.

"The luck and merit gained from building a power is related to the size of the power. The stronger the power, the more merit and luck you will gain."

“But Master also knows that in the present-day world, there is a Heaven Court ruling the three realms, a human king ruling the world, and saints teaching all living beings. There is no chance for other forces to develop.”

"At this time, even if a saint's disciple founded a sect, it would be difficult for him to achieve anything, and he would not gain much merit and luck."

Ao Bing analyzed the current situation of the prehistoric world to Master Tongtian.

In later generations, all kinds of things flourished in the wild world, and both humans and ghosts could establish their own sects. That was because the saints were confined by the Taoist ancestors, the human dynasty was reduced to a mortal dynasty, and the Jade Emperor became a decoration.

The top layer of the prehistoric world is gone, and naturally the demons below are in chaos, doing whatever they can to benefit themselves.

But as I said, that was in the future, and there is no such condition now. The saint has not been confined by the Taoist, the human king is still ruling the world, and the Jade Emperor is not a decoration.

How can a school of thought be established at this time and be supervised by three parties at the same time and develop?

Therefore, Ao Bing did not agree with Master Tongtian's idea of letting the disciples of Jiejiao establish their own sect at this time. He had a better idea.

"You are right. The current situation is indeed not suitable for Jiejiao disciples to go out and expand. Originally, my Jiejiao was feared by various forces because of its great power, and it has become a target of public criticism."

"If I allow my disciples to go out and expand the influence of Jiejiao, it will definitely cause dissatisfaction among other forces. If things go wrong, Jiejiao will become the public enemy of the prehistoric world."

Tongtian Patriarch nodded, thinking that Ao Bing was right, and then motioned him to tell him his own plan. He really wanted to know what kind of surprise Ao Bing would bring him this time. "Form an immortal alliance and study and practice a hundred arts!"

Ao Bing didn't keep anyone in suspense and directly expressed his thoughts.

"Establishing an Immortal Alliance? Practicing the Hundred Arts?"

Hearing this answer, Tongtian was stunned for a moment, then said thoughtfully:

"It's not hard to guess what the Immortal Alliance means. It's the Immortal Dao Alliance. But this is the first time I've heard of the term 'cultivating a hundred arts'."

Knowing what Master Tongtian was curious about, Ao Bing replied, "Practicing the Hundred Arts is a general term used by disciples to refer to the skills that assist in their practice."

"It includes but is not limited to alchemy, weapon refining, array formation, talisman making, planting, breeding, mining, medicinal food, animal training, spirit nurturing, pulse finding, treasure appraisal, wine making, silkworm breeding, and astrology divination..."

"It can be said that all these skills that can assist in cultivation are classified by disciples as one of the Hundred Arts of Cultivation."

Skills are means, not the true Dharma, and cannot lead people to enlightenment, so they are not valued by the mainstream. But this does not mean that they are not important. In fact, it is very important to practice all arts.

Their existence can greatly promote the development of cultivation civilization. You know, the positioning of practicing the Hundred Arts is to assist in cultivation, which is intended to make up for the shortcomings of cultivators.

If a cultivator is dull and has difficulty breaking through, what should he do? Naturally, he should refine a top-grade elixir to help him break through; or he could help him cleanse his tendons and marrow and be reborn.

What if a cultivator is not strong enough to fight? He can refine a powerful magic weapon to keep himself safe; or he can draw a few powerful talismans to enhance his killing ability.

This is the significance of practicing a hundred arts, to satisfy the needs of practitioners and to make up for the deficiencies of their means.

With the vigorous development of the cultivation of all arts, most monks can focus their energy on cultivation and no longer need to worry about other things.

Not enough killing methods, not enough self-defense methods? That's fine, there's no need to distract yourself from cultivating magical powers, just buy magic weapons and talismans.

The spiritual energy in the cave is not enough? It is also very simple. You don't need to change the cave, just buy a more powerful spirit gathering array. Or you can ask someone to help reshape the spiritual veins, modify the feng shui, etc.

In short, after practicing the hundreds of arts to a certain level, the practitioners in the world will find that there are always more solutions than problems.

As long as you look for it with all your heart, most of the troubles you encounter can be solved by practicing the hundreds of arts.

All problems encountered during practice can be solved through practicing the Hundred Arts. Even the method of accelerating practice can be found through practicing the Hundred Arts.

The emergence of the Hundred Arts of Cultivation not only allows cultivators to concentrate on their cultivation, but also makes cultivation easier. In this way, how can the cultivation civilization not progress? It will surely enter a period of rapid development!

“Practicing the hundred arts may sound like a lot of things, but in reality, they still revolve around food, clothing, shelter, transportation, Dharma, wealth, companions, and land.”

"Dharma, there is no need to explain much. All the hundreds of arts of cultivation that I have mentioned are Dharma! Of course, some of them have already appeared, but it doesn't matter."

"The purpose of forming the Immortal Alliance is to organize manpower to research those Hundred Arts of Cultivation that have not been researched. As for those Hundred Arts of Cultivation that have already appeared, we will continue to study them in depth and make them more perfect."

"This is the creation of a new method. As long as you do what I said and pass it on, you can greatly promote the development of spiritual civilization."

“And those monks who participated in the creation of the Hundred Arts will also be revered as ancestors by future generations and worshipped day and night as the cultivation civilization flourishes.”

"In this way, won't merit and luck be obtained?"

"And this is just the beginning. As the hundreds of arts of cultivation appear one by one, they will gradually permeate into all aspects."

"For example, raising silkworms is related to clothing. Silk can be used to make clothes. The stronger the silk, the stronger the clothes made."

"The purpose of raising silkworms is to cultivate more high-quality silkworms so that they can produce more silk and mass-produce robes with strong defensive power."

"Food is the primary need of the people. The better the food, the faster the strength will grow. Skills such as alchemy, spiritual food, and brewing spiritual wine are all related to this."

“And skills such as raising spiritual beasts and growing spiritual medicines are derived from this.”

"Arts such as formation and feng shui are related to living, and their purpose is to improve the living environment."

Since practicing a hundred arts can promote the development of civilization, it naturally involves all aspects, including Dharma, wealth, friends, land, food, clothing, housing, transportation, and everything that ordinary people think about.

Because there were too many things involved, even Ao Bing couldn't explain all the benefits in a short time. So, he picked out some of the more important ones.

He was only halfway through his words when Patriarch Tongtian understood what he meant and interrupted him, saying, "It is indeed wonderful to study and practice the Hundred Arts, but it is even better to form an Immortal Alliance."

"Now that you have mastered the Hundred Arts, why would you worry about not having money? There are so many ways to make money, and you can easily solve the problem of money."

"Earth is even simpler. There are many techniques in the cultivation of the Hundred Arts that involve improving the earth's spiritual veins. If we really combine them together, it can be compared to the earth immortal method. Even a barren land can be transformed into a paradise."

"As for companions, that's even better. The most important role of the Immortal Alliance is reflected here, to gather as many like-minded people as possible."

"Of course, these are not enough to shock me. What really shocked me was the consequences of doing these two things at the same time."

Having said that, Tongtian, who was used to being shocked, couldn't help but marvel at Ao Bing's wisdom.

Studying and practicing the Hundred Arts and forming an Immortal Alliance, if these two things were done separately, they would most likely fail. But if they were done together, not only would they succeed, but they would also bring great benefits.

The Immortal Alliance, the Immortal Dao Alliance, has members who are all from the Immortal Dao, or in other words, from the Xuanmen. If the Immortal Alliance has only a few members, then naturally there will be no impact.

But if all the members of the Immortal Alliance are elites of the Xuanmen, the impact will be huge.

Apart from anything else, as long as he gets the support of these Xuanmen elites and becomes the leader of the Immortal Alliance, he will be the future supreme immortal, a figure like the Immortal Emperor.

This is the purpose of Ao Bing forming the Immortal Alliance, to pave the way for becoming the supreme immortal in the future.

If he, who has the merit of reshaping the starry sky, can get the support of a group of immortal elites, then it is almost certain that he will become the supreme immortal, and no one can stop him.

The Supreme Immortal Dao was inferior to the Heavenly Emperor in name only, but in actual power, he was no less powerful. After all, the Immortal Dao had the final say in the prehistoric world, and the Immortal Emperor was the Supreme Immortal Dao!

……

Of course, it was easy to form an immortal alliance, but it was difficult to invite the elites of the Xuanmen. Why would they join a newly formed force for no reason?
Tired to death, and then stuck.

  I'll be busy tomorrow.

The update for tomorrow’s noon will probably be updated together with the one in the evening.
