Hogwarts: Voldemort, don't stop me from studying
Chapter 1022 Professor Frank
Chapter 1022 Professor Frank
After a long while, Ron finally couldn't help but speak:
"...Hey Harry. It's okay if you didn't pass. Actually, I wasn't particularly keen on joining anyway. You know, when you get together with them, it's either discussing homework or practicing spells, it's incredibly boring... It's better not to go, it'll save you the trouble."
Harry was preoccupied with a lot of worries—
The baby whose face he hadn't seen reminded him of Voldemort, who had once also turned into a baby, as well as time magic, vague memories in his mind, and the changes Vader had undergone during this time...
Upon hearing Ron's words, he was first taken aback, then suddenly realized—Merlin! He had actually forgotten to tell Ron such an important thing!
Just an hour ago, this was the thing that made him happiest and most concerned!
Harry sat up abruptly, pulled back the bed curtains, and said urgently, "No, Ron! Listen to me—it's approved, unanimously approved! You're officially in! Wade even had that house-elf Zoe prepare a table and bookshelves for you!"
After a pause, he quickly added, "Congratulations, Ron. Everyone thinks you're great, nobody has any objections!"
In the darkness, Ron's four-poster bed fell into a deathly silence.
A few seconds later, the red-haired boy suddenly jumped out of bed, pulled back the curtain, and asked excitedly and doubtfully, "Did it really pass?"
“Yes!” Harry nodded firmly. “That’s the result. You can ask Neville and Hermione tomorrow morning if you don’t believe me.”
Ron had already believed it. He was immersed in a sudden emptiness, and after a while, joy slowly rose from the bottom of his heart.
He sat on the bed, hugging the blanket, lost in thought for a while, then suddenly asked suspiciously, "Why did you look so worried when you came back just now?"
Harry was stumped.
He threw himself back onto the pillow, looking at the pattern on the top of the curtains, and all sorts of worries welled up in his mind again.
Harry wanted to discuss it with his friends, but the baby was Wade's secret, and he shouldn't spread it around without Wade's permission.
“Ron,” Harry said in a low voice after a moment, “have you heard… about the recent news of people being harmed by time-related magic?”
"Time?" Ron said, puzzled. "Why are you asking that... I've never heard of it. Maybe we should ask Hermione tomorrow?"
Harry sighed, put his hands behind his head, and said, "That's all we can do."
Ron didn't take it seriously. He lay down comfortably, covered himself with the blanket, and in the darkness, a smile finally appeared on his lips.
Harry thought for a moment, then said in a low voice, "Ron, don't you think Wade seems... to have gotten heavier?"
After the initial excitement subsided, Ron, now free of his worries, was quickly overcome by sleepiness. Hearing this, without thinking, he casually replied, "He's gained weight? No, I don't think so?"
“I’m not talking about weight,” Harry said, speechless. “It’s…it’s something else that makes him look different than before…”
"Oh, I see... Huff... Huff... I... I can't eat anymore..."
On the other bed, Ron had fallen asleep within seconds, occasionally uttering a few indistinct murmurs.
……
After two or three days, Wade had readjusted to Hogwarts' school life. He no longer felt the urge to draw his wand when someone suddenly appeared behind him, nor did he suddenly picture a scene of corpses strewn across the ground when looking at his classmates.
He also took a Defense Against the Dark Arts class taught by Neville's father, Frank Longbottom.
“In previous classes, we talked about how to fight various dark creatures and how to defend against enemy attacks. But in real combat, I think the most important thing is not how many enemies you defeat, but whether you and your companions can survive to the end.” Frank stood on the podium, his body covered with old scars of various sizes, but his eyes remained firm and bright.
His lectures, like himself, are practical, clear, and unpretentious, yet they firmly capture everyone's attention.
"Today we are going to learn a hemostatic spell that can save lives in battle."
"The spell for stopping bleeding is 'Wollenella-Salettour,' which is generally used for severe lacerations caused by dark magic spells and is more effective than the healing spell 'Sanguis-Sisto' that we learned before."
"The incantation must be pronounced at a steady pace and clearly, with a commanding tone; any tremor or hesitation will weaken the incantation's effect..."
Frank taught everyone to recite the incantation several times, breaking it down meticulously according to syllables. He also explained the meaning of each part of the hemostatic incantation in Latin, as well as the word formation logic and combination principles of the incantation.
“Only by understanding the structure of a spell can you better master it!” Frank concluded.
He then demonstrated how to wave the wand, and took out a wooden doll, casting a spell to make the doll bleed profusely. The students then came forward one after another to treat the doll.
"Wollenella-Salettour!"
Pansy Parkinson swung her wand, tearing the doll's wound twice as wide, and blood gushed out like a fountain. Pansy screamed and jumped back!
At the same time, the doll let out a shriek that sounded extremely painful, then its head lolled to the side and it stopped moving.
Frank offered no criticism, simply saying expressionlessly, "Unfortunately, the wounded have died. Next."
He waved his wand, and the puppet returned to its previous state.
Pansy walked down from the front with a dark face and heavy steps.
“Promise me, Pansy,” her classmate Millison said earnestly, turning to her, “If I ever get hurt, please don’t save me. Let someone else do it, okay?”
Pansy glared at her, then turned her gaze to Draco Malfoy as he walked onto the stage.
Malfoy pursed his lips and pointed his wand at the doll: "Woolenella-Salettour!"
The light from the spell was much softer than Pansy's, and although the bleeding from the wound had not completely stopped, the rate of bleeding had visibly slowed down considerably.
Frank glanced at it and objectively commented, "Very good, you just need to practice more."
Malfoy glanced at him, then stepped down without a word.
Next up were the Ravenclaw students, and the first one was Wade, who was pushed to the front by his classmates.
When he saw him, a very subtle change flashed across Frank's eyes, as if a different kind of warmth had suddenly appeared.
Vader stopped and raised his wand:
"Wollenella-Salettour!"
A milky white halo enveloped the wound, and the gushing blood stopped flowing within seconds, the torn edges of the wound beginning to heal and close up.
There was a moment of silence in the classroom, followed by applause from the Ravenclaw students, and some couldn't help but glance at the Slytherins with a sense of pride.
“Very good.” Frank smiled faintly, speaking with great restraint, “The bleeding stopped completely, the healing process was smooth, and the magic control was very precise—the spell was perfect. Next!”
