Pokémon's Lord of Fear

Chapter 72 Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy

Chapter 72 Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy

"Zoroak." Late at night, Teng Shu knocked on Zoroak's door.

After a while, Zoroark finally opened the door, and at this moment it turned into a beautiful girl with long black hair, half-covered by her pajamas, and a pair of furry slippers on her feet.

"Boss, why did you come to see me so late? Are you going to attack at night?" Zoroark yawned, looked at Teng Shu and rubbed his eyes.

"No, I've been trying to make a kind of sugar cube recently. Do you want to try it?" Teng Shu took out the sugar cube from his pocket and shook it in front of Zoroark. Zoroark was stunned for a moment.

Looking at Zoroark's appearance, Teng Shu felt a little expectant.

When feeding sugar cubes to Xiao Q and Sai Fuhao, Teng Shu thought of something.

If you want to verify whether Zoroark is a ghost-type Pokémon, then you just need to take out the Fear Cube. This thing has a fatal temptation to ghost-type Pokémon. Even the overlord Gengar and Giratina in the reverse world have no resistance to this candy.

If Giratina hadn't taken his Fear Cubes, Teng Shu wouldn't have brought the Fear Food Maker to the Padia region.

"What kind of sugar cube is this?" Zoroak looked at the sugar cube in Teng Shu's hand curiously. Although he looked a little curious, he did not seem to be very enthusiastic or excited.

"I made it for Xiao Q and Sai Fuhao, they liked it very much." Teng Shu looked at Zoroark's calm expression and scratched his head. Could it be that he was wrong?
"I'm Zoroark, and you want me to eat ghost-type candy cubes?" Zoroark looked at Teng Shu strangely, then waved his hand, yawned, closed the door, and went to sleep.

Teng Shu looked at Zoroark's door. When he was lying down and browsing his phone, he came across the news about Xicui area, and then he thought of something.

That is, in the Xicui region, there are some Xicui-form Pokémon, including Zoroark, and the Zoroark there is a ghost attribute.

However, even Sugar Cube Zoroark remained indifferent in the face of Fear, so Teng Shu felt that he must be wrong.

After waking up the next day, Teng Shu continued to devote himself to the filming of "Ghost Call 1", polishing the plot while filming.

In the plot of "A Ghost Call" 1, one of the good points that Teng Shu thinks is the character of Mimiko Mizunuma.

Most horror movies like to give the villain a tragic past and childhood, as if this makes the villain's evil deeds seem justified, and Mimiko Mizunuma in The Devil Calls 1 is also set up in a similar way.

Mimiko Mizunuma was born with asthma and her mother didn't pay much attention to her, so she would torture her younger sister to attract her mother's attention, and then pretend to be pitiful to win her mother's care, but when her mother left, she would continue to bully her younger sister.

After bullying her sister, perhaps out of guilt or some other emotion, Mizunuma Mimiko would stuff a piece of candy into her sister's mouth as compensation. This is why later on, everyone killed by the ghost call had a piece of candy in their mouths.

If she didn't stuff candy, didn't try to gain her mother's attention, and just enjoyed torturing people, then Mimiko Mizunuma would be a born bad seed.

It’s a pity that the screenwriter at that time couldn’t get rid of this setting.

But even so, Ghost Call also achieved a plot reversal. After all, based on the clues at the beginning, everyone including the audience would think that it was Mizunuma Mimiko's mother who did all this, and her mother was the bad guy and the evil ghost, but in fact, it was not until the end that it was revealed that it was Mizunuma Mimiko who did all this, and Mimiko was the one suffering from Munchausen syndrome by proxy. "Boss, why do I not understand the last part of this script?" During the lunch break, Zoroark walked to Teng Shu with the script and asked with a confused look on his face.

"Isn't it obvious here?" Teng Shu looked at the script and saw the ending that Zoroark saw.

In the plot, at the end, Mimiko possessed Yumi and stabbed Yamashita who had been helping Yumi. Then when Yamashita woke up in the hospital, he found Yumi next to him. Then Yumi came over and kissed him, feeding him the candy mouth to mouth, while Yumi was holding a knife in her hands behind her back.

The whole plot of "Ghost Call" ended with Yumi's laughter.

"So in the end it was Mimiko who controlled Yumi? Then why did Yamashita save Mimiko who was about to die when he was unconscious?" Zoroark was a little unable to understand this plot.

"In fact, this just shows that Yamashita is a good person and doesn't want to see Mimiko die miserably of illness at home. But in fact, it is impossible for Yamashita to travel back in time to save people. In the end, he was fed sugar, which means that Mimiko was praying that he would get better soon. Only after he gets better can Mimiko continue to torture Yamashita." Teng Shu explained.

The most controversial part of the plot of "A Ghost Call" is the ending. After all, it seems to have no beginning or end, which is in line with the consistent characteristics of Japanese horror films.

But just remember that Mimiko suffers from Munchausen syndrome by proxy, a mental illness in which a person hurts their loved ones in order to gain attention.

Then you can understand the final plot.

In the movie, Mimiko's sister also said that every time her sister hurt her, she would feed her a candy and pray that her injuries would heal quickly so that she could continue to hurt her sister.

"Then what's the meaning of Yamashita saving Mimiko?" Zoroark was a little confused. He had thought it would be a happy ending, such as Yamashita moved the evil spirit, and the evil spirit chose to leave, allowing Yamashita and Yumi to be together happily.

"Of course, let Mimiko find a new toy, a kind-hearted toy that is not easy to kill." Teng Shu shrugged.

It is important to note that Mimiko is a bad guy and a mentally ill person.

There is no logic to this kind of person.

There is no possibility of persuading Mimiko to let go. Mimiko is just purely curious about this good man, Yamashita, and wants to torture him and make him completely collapse.

"Oh my God, will this pass the review?" Zoroark was a little worried, after all, Mimiko's age is there.

"So at the end, Yumi was just smiling. Although she was holding a knife, she didn't do anything." Teng Shu was not very worried. In order to pass the review, he had already made preparations in advance.

Otherwise, he could have designed a plot where the character was fed sugar and then immediately stabbed with a knife to show the madness of the evil spirit.
