Chapter 3 Make mistakes
When Rong Peilan woke up, her head was dizzy and her stomach was rumbling.

The first thing you see is the red silk top, embroidered with auspicious dragons and phoenixes. You can tell from the embroidery that it is the work of Ruyifang. Such craftsmanship is not used to make wedding dresses, but to make bed curtains, which is a waste of resources.

It was pitch black outside the window, and a pair of red candles with dragon and phoenix patterns were burning in the room.

The furnishings in the room were all visible. The spacious and luxurious step-out bed was covered with red silk, peanuts and red dates were placed on the table, and red wedding characters were posted everywhere...

Red wedding characters?!

She sat up suddenly, and her originally confused mind suddenly became clear.

"woke up?"

Rong Peilan was startled by the distant and lazy male voice.

When she turned around, she saw a young man in a shirt lying next to her, and they were both covered with the same blanket?!

"You!! You!" Rong Peilan was so frightened that her face turned pale. She jumped out of bed without even having time to put on her shoes, only to find that she was only wearing her undershirt.

"You..." Rong Peilan hurriedly grabbed the coat on the hanger and put it on, but after a long time she couldn't figure out what he was doing.

Ji Yunzhang sat up cross-legged, folded his arms, and said leisurely, "Marry me."

"I..." Rong Peilan widened his eyes.

"I am your husband, Ji Yunzhang." The corners of Prince Ji's lips curled up slightly.

"Ji Yunzhang?! Prince Ji...how is it possible!" Rong Peilan's face was full of disbelief.

She just felt dizzy and her head was like a ball of paste.

Mingming, Mingming... I was just helping my cousin with her makeup. Then, because we got up too early, I drank a bowl of Tremella soup with my cousin to fill our stomachs.

And then, you fell asleep?
Blessing to the soul.

Suddenly she remembered that her cousin told her a few days ago that there was an excellent marriage for her.

Is this the perfect marriage my cousin was talking about?

Did Xie Shuning take the wrong medicine? ? She was so proud of herself after knowing that she was going to marry into a high-ranking official family, but why did she have to change the bridal sedan at the last minute?

Rong Peilan had never felt this was so absurd.

"No! I have to go back to the Xie family!" Rong Peilan leaned over and went to the couch to look for her shoes.

No matter how absurd my cousin's behavior is, she is still the legitimate daughter of the Xie family. But she is just a niece living under someone else's roof, and her younger brother is still in the Xie family.

This marriage was something my aunt was very proud of. Now that it has fallen to her, all my aunt's anger might be directed at my brother.

Want to go back to the Xie family?

Prince Ji's face turned black. Forget about the legitimate daughter of the Xie family, but could it be that even an orphan without a father or a mother would despise him so much?
"You have been unconscious for a day, and you still have two days before you return home. Running back in the middle of the night, are you slapping the face of the Xie family or the Xinling Marquis Mansion?"

Rong Peilan paused for a moment, then picked up her old shoes with worn soles, "I don't know why my cousin did this, but this matter..."

Ji Yunzhang, "There is no turning back on this matter."

Rong Peilan was stunned, "Why...why..."

Ji Yunzhang pulled the quilt and lay down lazily, "You have been unconscious for more than a day. If there is room for maneuver, can you still be here when you wake up?"

The shoe in Rong Peilan's hand fell and she slid down to sit on the bed.

Yes, she has been in a coma for a day and no one has come to take her back. I am afraid that this is just a mistake.

A feeling of helplessness swept over her, just like the day her mother passed away, leaving her and her three-year-old brother alone, confused and at a loss.

She had been very cautious since she came to Xie's house, fearing that she might do something wrong or make a mistake. In the end, her wishes were ignored and she was used as a shield by her cousin.

She didn't even consider what kind of accusations she would face if she was sent back to the Marquis' Mansion.

Ji Yunzhang looked at Rong Peilan, who looked like she was dying, and said coldly, "Now everyone in Yanjing knows that the cousin of the Xie family got lucky and married into the Marquis's mansion."

Rong Peilan was in a panic. She had never thought about what her future husband would be like, but he would definitely not be like Prince Ji.

Not getting a response, Ji Shizi glanced at the back of her head, pulled the quilt around himself, and then turned sideways.

Rong Peilan hugged her knees and couldn't help feeling sad.

Ever since she could remember, she had traveled all over the mountains and rivers with her parents. Her father would tell her stories, take her fishing, and teach her the principles of human nature.

My mother is an excellent cook. Even when they have to sleep outdoors and eat hard, she can always come up with new dishes and often create delicious dishes from classic books.

She has never learned needlework, but has traveled the world with her parents.

She had great ambitions, but was confined to a small world. After her parents passed away, she took her three-year-old brother to live in her uncle's house, living under someone else's roof and knowing the cold and warmth by herself.

Although she didn't know why Xie Shuning would switch her, now that she had been married off, she could be considered to have fulfilled the Xie family's kindness for the past six years.

She had walked through the vast world when she was a child, and now that she had grown up, why couldn't she conquer this small mansion?

The pair of dragon and phoenix candles in the room had been burning all night, and a thick layer of red wax had accumulated on the candlesticks. The figure beside the bed also gradually stood up with the rising sun.

When the sky was bright, the maid Liuyan came in quietly and saw Rong Peilan already dressed neatly and combing her hair.

Liuyan quickly stepped forward and knelt down, "I am late, please forgive me, Madam."

Rong Peilan was stunned at first, then handed the comb in her hand to her.

"It's okay, comb your hair first."

"Yes."

Rong Peilan looked at herself in the mirror. After six years in the Xie family, she had lost her childishness and gradually took on the appearance of a young girl.

When she first arrived at the Xie family, her aunt assigned her a maid, but later her aunt transferred the maid away because of a shortage of staff in the courtyard.

From then on, she took care of her daily life by herself, and it became a habit over the years.

Liuyan had very deft hands and had combed her hair into a bun which was very fashionable at the time, revealing her smooth forehead and making her look even more dignified.

Ji Yunzhang woke up, looked at the red curtain above the bed, rubbed his eyebrows with his hand, sat up and saw that Rong Peilan was already tying her hair.

He had seen Xie Shuning's portrait, and his eyebrows and eyes were somewhat similar to Rong Peilan's, but Rong Peilan's facial features were more gentle and dignified. If his grandmother were still alive, she would definitely like Rong's appearance very much.

Rong Peilan saw from the bronze mirror that Prince Ji had already gotten up. Although she had been thinking about it all night, she still didn't know how to face this man who was supposed to be her cousin's husband.

So she pretended not to know he was awake.

From the bronze mirror, I saw Ji Yunzhang reaching out and pulling a small bell beside the bed. Soon, a group of maids came in one after another.

As Rong Peilan stared in astonishment, she saw Prince Ji stretching out his arms.

One maid dressed him, one gave him a sip of tea, and another immediately brought a spittoon to catch it.

One of them washed his face, another brought a stool for him to sit on, and the last two put on his shoes together. Liuyan hurriedly followed to tie up his hair.

All he had to do during the whole process was stretch out his hands when getting dressed and sit down when putting on his shoes.

After serving the prince, the maids quickly cleaned the new house and then left in an orderly and well-trained manner.

Before leaving, Liuyan looked up once more and then closed the door and walked out.

Ji Yunzhang was dressed neatly. He glanced at his newlywed wife's inexperienced look and couldn't help but curl up the corners of his lips.

"It's already a day late. It's time to serve tea today."

Rong Peilan looked away embarrassedly, "Yes..."

Today she finally experienced what it means to open her mouth for food and stretch out her hand for clothes.

Yuhui Garden is the courtyard where Ji Yunzhang has lived since he was a child. The marquis's wife renovated a large garden for her son's wedding, but the prince did not want to move, so in the end the new house was still set up in Yuhui Garden.

The Marquis' Mansion is much larger than the Xie Mansion. After leaving Yuhui Garden, Rong Peilan felt that she had walked almost two miles and still hadn't reached her destination. Was it their garden that was more remote, or was it the Marquis's garden that was more remote?

Ji Yunzhang was tall and had long legs, so she walked fast. Her feet under her skirt had to swing so hard that smoke was coming out of them before she could barely keep up.

After Prince Ji took Rong Peilan around half of the mansion, he saw that it was almost time and said, "We got up early today and took you around half of the mansion. Now it's almost time, we can go and offer tea."

Rong Peilan panted silently, "Hmm, hm?"

The garden of Xinling Hou and his wife was just on the left side of Yuhui Garden, only half a minute's walk away. In fact, the first garden they passed by after leaving Yuhui Garden was Xinling Hou's garden.

There was already a circle of people sitting in the flower hall. In addition to Mrs. Zhong, there were also the wives and children of the two concubines of the Ji family.

Mrs. Zhong's face didn't look bad, but it didn't look good either.

She somewhat regretted agreeing to her son's request. If she had known earlier, she would not have proposed to marry into the Xie family. She would rather put aside her old face and propose to marry the second daughter of the Wenyuan Earl's mansion.

She was too lazy to find out what was going on in Yanjing now, and she just hoped that this Rong family member was sensible.

Just as the maid finished serving tea to the Ji family's concubine, Ji Yunzhang arrived with Rong Peilan.

Before entering the door, Ji Yunzhang suddenly reached out and held her hand. Her heart skipped a beat, and before she could react, she was pulled in.

The Prince Ji smiled playfully, "Mother, I have brought my new wife to serve you tea."
