Hydra is an enduring villain organization in the Marvel Universe, and there are different versions of its origin.

There are organizations that split from the Brotherhood of the Shield to seek immortality, there are organizations established by multiple families to welcome back the first Inhuman, Hive, and there is also Hydra, which was established by the Red Skull in modern times, and so on.

The latter two versions are currently adopted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
