Chapter 593 Searching
Just to be on the safe side, Aisha and Melna decided to go and take a look first.

They stood in the basement of the Alsteid mansion, looking at the magic circle that emitted a ghostly blue light.

Aisha turned to ask, "Are you sure there's no problem? Since it's a maze, you won't suddenly teleport me into a monster's lair?"

Orsteed stood behind them, arms crossed, and nodded coldly: "After the transfer, we'll be directly in the monster's lair. I've connected this transfer magic circle directly to the transfer magic circle within the maze. You should know that each level of the maze is connected by transfer magic circles, and there are many random transfer magic circles as well."

Aisha narrowed her eyes dangerously: "Don't you want to go to Boreas's house for dinner?"

Orsteed paused for a moment, then continued with a normal expression, "But those monsters won't attack you. As long as you don't damage, burn, or steal the copies in the labyrinth, you'll be safe."

Aisha stared at Orsteed for a moment, making Melna feel that they were about to fight, before turning around and nimbly stepping onto the teleportation magic circle, with Melna following closely behind.

A flash of light, and the two figures disappeared.

Behind him, Orsteed stared silently at the magic circle, intending to turn around and go back to the restaurant in Boreas to finish his unfinished meal. But then he suddenly remembered that without Aisha's shielding magic, he wouldn't even be able to face anyone. So he could only stare at the magic circle with a melancholy look.

He's already starting to think about what to eat for dinner.

It wasn't that the food at the restaurant in Boreas was particularly delicious, but rather that the atmosphere at Allen's house was wonderful, with people always whispering during meals.

It was a bit noisy.

But there's an inexplicable sense of relaxation in it.

Alsted couldn't quite put his finger on what the atmosphere was like, but he hadn't experienced anything like it for many, many years.

The book maze is somewhat similar to dragon ruins, with floors and walls made of rustic bricks and stones. However, unlike other mazes that are filled with the stench of monsters, this maze is filled with the smell of mildew, ink, and the faint pulp of paper itself.

A flash of light, and Aisha and Melna appeared inside the maze.

Their faces were blank, as if their thoughts were still in the basement of the Auersted mansion, but their consciousness had come to their senses first.

Then, within two seconds, their eyes regained their sparkle.

The first thing you see is a square, ancient stone gate, five meters wide and five meters long. In front of the gate is a huge snail-shaped monster, as big as Aisha's room. Countless transparent tentacles extend from its spiral shell, each holding a book and reading it on its two eyeballs, which are the size of two human heads.

Hearing the noise, it turned its head to look.

Aisha squinted and stretched out her palm, facing the snail monster.

However, the latter showed no intention of attacking; he merely glanced at it before looking away and continuing to read.

Melna observed Aisha for a while, then whispered in her ear, "It seems she really won't attack people."

Aisha nodded, keeping her eyes fixed on the snail monster. She went to the stone door and used a breath spell to open it. During this time, the snail monster didn't even bother to look at them. It just slowly moved to the wall to the side and started climbing because it had no target to rely on.

I'm starting out with Aishamai.

The view suddenly opened up, revealing a long corridor that stretched far into the distance, with no walls on either side.

Instead of walls, there are stone bookshelves that extend to the bottom and are about three meters high, filled with books, piled up densely and stretching out as far as the eye can see.

Aisha walked closer to take a look:

—Those books could hardly be called books; at most, they were booklets made by binding pages of paper together with hemp rope. Many of them weren't even bound together; they were just scraps of what could only be called drafts crumpled together.

The only one with a cover had the word "ledger" written on it in the language of the demon gods.

Aisha casually pulled out a piece of paper, only to find it was a child's notebook, filled with fragmented human language.

It turned out to be a draft paper for practicing calligraphy.

Aisha:
Finding my grandfather's diary here is a huge undertaking.

Melna, however, flipped through the pages with great interest, looking at each one with a bright and cheerful expression:

"The rumor is true; everything written down will be recorded."

Aisha suddenly looked to her side, and in the darkness, a small, black, sticky creature slowly moved towards them. It moved to their side in their sight, extended a tentacle from its body, took the 'ledger' off, placed it inside its body, and then disappeared into the darkness.

There was absolutely no intention to attack throughout the entire process.

Melna blinked. "It doesn't look dangerous."

Aisha said, "If we want to find the diary, we'll need more people. Sister Hilfi and Sister Loki will be willing to help us, but only if there's really no danger here."

Melna nodded.

The two walked along the corridor, passing many forks and turns.

Besides the snail monsters and black slimes we just saw, we also saw knee-high humanoid ant monsters and tree monsters that occupied the entire corridor. Throughout this process, not a single monster attempted to attack Aisha and Melna.

They were quietly reading, and when disturbed, they would only glance at the two of them before quietly leaving.

They were just like humans who followed library rules. As they walked, Aisha and Melna gradually lowered their guard and began to examine the manuscripts around them.

When they stopped moving, the monsters no longer avoided them; some even stood right next to them, reading the manuscripts in their hands.

Melna read very quickly and with a clear purpose. She took the manuscripts off the shelf one by one and put them back. Occasionally, when she came across the erotic diaries of the Asura court ministers, she would slow down and look at them a few more times with a smile in her eyes.

But at some point, she suddenly sensed that something was off about the atmosphere around her.
Turning her head, she noticed that the surrounding monsters had stopped looking at the manuscripts in their hands and were all staring at her.

A strange light flickered in his eyes.

Melna's hand froze. She glanced at the cover, which read 'Observation and Production Record of Monster Mating,' and silently put the copy back in its place.

But his gaze remained firmly fixed on her.

Suddenly, Melna realized something and turned to look in Aisha's direction.

The other person was holding a thin notebook, staring at the last page with a dark look in their eyes, their fingers gripping the cover tightly.

Melna was shocked and quickly moved closer, but stopped after saying, "Miss Xia, please don't hold on so tightly."

She stared in astonishment at the notebook in Aisha's hand, which was clearly written in human language as 'Hunting Diary', and signed 'Mary'.

The first line under the most recent date is:
Allen Boreas Greirat, he's so handsome. I really want to sleep with him.
Melna's lips twitched; she thought to herself, "I'm doomed."

But Aisha, in her line of sight, closed the notebook and placed it back on the bookshelf.

The thorn-like feeling disappeared, and Melna turned to look around. The monsters were now engrossed in the books in their hands, ignoring them.

Melna breathed a sigh of relief, only to see Aisha give her a gloomy look.

"you saw it?"

Melna instinctively replied, "No!"

The two looked at each other.

Aisha said, "This place is generally safe. I've tested it. As long as you don't damage those copies, you won't be attacked by monsters. Just remind them of that. Besides, most of those monsters are only B-rank, not strong."

Melna nodded vigorously.

Aisha turned around and walked back the way she came: "It's been almost three hours. It's time to go back and prepare dinner. After dinner, I'll invite Sister Xilufei and Sister Luoqixi to help. Let's go."

Melna, however, did not move.

Aisha turned to look at her: "What's wrong?"

Melna smiled as usual: "I don't need to eat, so I'll take this time to look around a bit longer."

Aisha looked at her for a moment and nodded: "We've already looked at this bookshelf, let's find another one."

"it is good."

Aisha turned and walked away, but after a few steps she suddenly turned back and looked at Melna again.

The latter was about to pull out the notebook that Aisha had just stuffed into the bookshelf.

The two stared at each other in silence. Aisha snorted and turned to leave, saying, "Don't look at that nonsense." She paused, "Also, be careful."

".good."

The footsteps fade away.

Only when Aisha could no longer be seen did Melna put the notebook back in her hand.

She turned to look at the endless bookshelves against the wall and muttered to herself:
"Where is the master's diary? I thought the master was ashamed to admit it, so he wrote his name in a pseudonym and even wrote Mr. Allen's full name in a serious manner to cover up the traces."
That's impossible. If it were Mr. Allen, the owner would likely be written as "brother." Who knows which woman's dear brother this is?
However, the depiction of whether or not someone sleeps is quite realistic.

As soon as he finished speaking, a black, slime-like creature grabbed a book from his side, absorbed it into its body, and walked into the darkness in the distance.

It just so happens to be that notebook.

Melna was taken aback: "Wait. The Demon King of the Sticky Clan's Library Maze... is this a split version of the Sticky Clan?"

She glanced at the darkness behind her; the corridor was dark, and Aisha's figure did not return.

Turning around, he followed closely in the footsteps of the sticky tribe, disappearing into the distance.

Silence returned to the bookshelves, broken only by the sounds of the monsters turning the pages of the manuscripts.

The Demon King of the Book Labyrinth should know the location of all the copies, since these books were written by him using his Demon Eye.

I just don't know what the cost would be to ask it directly.
