Chapter 619 The Great Mighty Heavenly Dragon, the World-Honored Ksitigarbha! Fahai's Greatest Tribulation!
Compared to the despair of the Tree Demon Granny.

The distorted consciousness born from that mutation is far more insane.

The haphazardly growing eyes partly looked at Luo Fu, and partly stared intently at the Tree Demon Granny, uttering a frenzied sound almost identical to that of the Tree Demon Granny.

"Kill you! Killing your grandmother will complete the path. You and I are one, grant me your wish, and we will ascend to the heavens together."

Various freaks, which shouldn't belong to plants, or even animals, with so many messy organs that would make anyone's SAN value drop to zero, launched an attack on the Tree Demon Granny in a way that defied common sense.

Originally a single, thousand-year-old tree spirit, due to the radiation from Luofu, has now given birth to two consciousnesses.

One evil, and an even more evil, twisted, and insane one!
The battle between the two sides almost instantly wiped out the abandoned Lanruo Temple.

Countless female ghosts manipulated by the Tree Demon Granny were instantly reduced to ashes and their souls scattered in this first wave of attack.

The few female ghosts who survived were filled with anxiety and desperately tried to avoid the aftermath of the battle between the two tree demon grandmothers.

Soon, several female ghosts, as if sensing something, rushed desperately to Luo Fu's front.

One by one, they knelt before Luo Fu in fear and trepidation, pleading, "Immortal, save us! We were all forced by the tree demon. We had no choice but to do what we did. We beg you, Immortal, to forgive our sins and save our lives!"

Before Luo Fu could reply.

A furious shout came rapidly from the direction of Jinshan Temple, approaching from afar.

"Great Mighty Heavenly Dragon, World Honored Ksitigarbha, Vajra Buddhas, Dharma Protectors, Kill!"

Boundless Buddha light suddenly shone forth.

A handsome monk, dressed in white robes and a kasaya, descended from the sky and slashed at Luofu Mountain with a rosary in one hand and a long sword in the other.

Luo Fu never expected that his first meeting with Fahai of Jinshan Temple would be like this.

Fahai, the abbot of Jinshan Temple, suddenly swung his sword down at his own head.

Although it appears that Fahai holds a sword, in reality, it is a sword of wisdom conjured from Buddhist dust to slay demons and monsters.

It can slay all demons and monsters, both internal and external.

Even inner demons cannot escape the slaying of the sword of wisdom.

Of course, while inner demons can be slain by the sword of wisdom, it's merely a stopgap measure.

The sword of wisdom was about to fall upon them.

Luo Fu was instantly enveloped in a burst of golden light.

It transformed into a tangible golden light, and in an instant, it overlapped with the top layer of Luofu Mountain, solidifying into an indestructible shield.

The moment the sword of wisdom collides with the shield.

In the blink of an eye, Fahai, who had descended from the sky, suddenly somersaulted in mid-air, staggered back several steps, and finally regained his footing.

With a furrowed brow, Fahai stared intently at Luofu and asked, "What... exactly are you?"

Without waiting for Luo Fu's reply, Fa Hai said to himself, "Let me see what your true form really is!"

The moment his voice fell, Fahai chanted aloud, "Prajna Buddhas! Ksitigarbha Dharma Eye! Prajna Paramita Hum! Manifesting the Dharma."

The fingers are joined together to form a sword shape, with one finger pointing towards the center of the brow.

Suddenly, Buddha's light appeared.

But Fahai's face showed complete bewilderment and self-doubt.

In his vision, Luo Fu, whom he had just mistaken for a monster, was now radiating a mysterious and pure light in his Dharma Eye.

This is by no means some kind of demon or monster, nor any unorthodox or heretical practice. It is the authentic and genuine esoteric teachings without any compromise.

But if Luofu is the orthodox sect of Xuanmen, then what about these female ghosts kneeling at his feet? And what about those two fighting, one a tree demon, and the other... a monster that looks like it's been mentally corrupted?

Although Fahai's cultivation was astonishing, in his short life of just over twenty years, he had already reached the point where he could easily subdue monsters that had been around for hundreds of years, even those that were thousands of years old.

The monks of Jinshan Temple even unanimously believed that Fahai must be the reincarnation of a great Buddhist master, otherwise it would be impossible to explain his incredible speed of cultivation, as if the secret methods of Buddhism posed no difficulty for him at all.

Whether it's accumulating cultivation points or improving one's realm, it's even simpler than eating and drinking.

Having strong cultivation levels does not necessarily mean that one's character will also improve.

Undeniably, Fahai's mind was indeed clear and pure; otherwise, it would be impossible to explain how he was able to receive the Bodhi Buddha light that manifested as a rainbow.

A clear mind is different from a state of being.

This is like a metaphor for three realms. Fahai grew up in Jinshan Temple, and his understanding was built from the teachings of Buddhist elders and the reading of classics.

Such a level of understanding is to see mountains as mountains and water as water. This is why, when he saw the spider demon, he arrogantly used the distinction between humans and demons to directly subdue the spider demon and cripple her two hundred years of arduous cultivation.

After capturing the spider demon, Fahai discovered that her Buddhist beads still emanated Buddhist spiritual energy, revealing a flaw in her unrefined nature. At this point, Fahai was in a state of confusion, seeing neither mountains nor water as mountains or water.

Only after enduring countless tribulations can he truly reach the point where he sees mountains as mountains and water as water again.

This state of being truly belongs to Fahai himself.

The initial mental shock that should have been felt by the spider demon was now manifesting prematurely in Luo Fu.

The mysterious and pure light emanating from Luo Fu's body was simply the epitome of orthodox Xuanmen (Taoist sect).

This was something Fahai found hard to accept.

After a moment of confusion, Fahai quickly hardened his resolve.

"You fiend, you are indeed not to be underestimated. You have even managed to deceive my divine eye. You are a heretic, a demon."

With a flick of his whisk, Fahai proclaimed in a loud voice, "Great Mighty Heavenly Dragon, Vajra Flame!"

boom.

The floating dust suddenly transformed into a long rope of flame.

With a flick of Fahai's wrist, the fiery rope swept nimbly toward Luofu.

Luo Fu has no interest in standing still and taking a beating.

Without Luo Fu making any move, the sword box on his back suddenly hummed and flew into the air as if on its own, disintegrating in mid-air into pieces of armor fragments.

It was as if it had been specially made for Luofu, and in the blink of an eye, it was put on Luofu's body.

This was clearly a protective magic weapon exuding a sharp edge.

Just as Fahai's fiery rope was about to sweep across Luofu, a three-foot-long beam of mysterious light suddenly burst forth from the armor, firmly blocking the fiery rope from the outside.

However, the more righteous and honorable Luo Fu's methods appeared, the less acceptable they were to Fa Hai.

He was already convinced that Luofu was a highly deceptive demon, a heretical sect. "Lightning, wind, and fire, kill!" Fahai roared, and the fiery rope formed from the floating dust instantly increased in power.

An astonishing power suddenly appeared on the long rope of flame formed from the floating dust.

The three-foot-long beam of light that the armor had transformed into suddenly exploded with a loud bang.

However, it was just an explosion.

The sudden explosion caused Fahai, one of the instigators, to stumble and stagger back a few steps.

He looked at Luo Fu with a hint of horror in his eyes and said, "You monster, where did you steal my righteous path's protective magic weapon from? Your methods are so cunning that I cannot subdue you."

Fahai's tone was filled with a faint sense of grief and indignation.

Although he is not old, he grew up in Jinshan Temple and his years of practice are almost the same as his age.

However, Fahai was exceptionally talented, and almost no one in his time could compare to him.

The spider demon had cultivated for two hundred years, yet she couldn't survive a single encounter with Fahai. Even the Green Snake and White Snake, monsters with five hundred or even a thousand years of cultivation, were still not taken seriously by Fahai.

This is not because Fahai is blindly arrogant, but because he truly has the ability.

Even though it was the White Snake and Green Snake who caused the flood to reach Jinshan Temple, in reality, they still lost.

If Fahai hadn't had so many concerns, subduing the White Snake and the Green Snake probably wouldn't have been much more difficult than subduing the Spider Demon. In particular, the White Snake and the Green Snake were able to use such methods, which was actually due to Fahai's help.

If the Black Sea had left the Spider Demon's rosary to the White Snake and the Green Snake, they might not have been able to unleash such power.

From the moment he inherited the lineage of Jinshan Temple, and especially after becoming the abbot of Jinshan Temple, Fahai had never encountered an opponent as formidable as Luofu now.

At this moment, Fahai was clearly already considering sacrificing himself for his cause.

There was absolutely no intention of waiting for Luo Fu's reply.

Fahai extinguished the flames on the whisk, shook his cassock, and instantly revealed his muscular upper body.

Despite being a monk, he had a lifelike golden dragon tattoo on his upper body.

"Great Mighty Heavenly Dragon, World Honored Ksitigarbha, Prajna Buddhas, Prajna Paramita Hum, Flying Dragon in the Sky."

As Fahai chanted the mantra, the golden dragon tattoo on his body instantly lit up.

The next moment, it leaped up from Fahai's body and instantly transformed into a ferocious golden fire dragon.

With a roar, the fire dragon assisted Fahai in launching an attack on Luofu.

At this moment, Lanruo Temple was in complete chaos.

The Tree Demon Granny is locked in a love-hate relationship with the mad consciousness born from radiation, vying for ownership of the Tree Demon's true form, or rather, they are fighting over the very essence of their existence.

After all, the frenzied consciousness was also a part of the Tree Demon Granny, and it was a consciousness that held a significant advantage.

Such a struggle is far more brutal than any battle between good and evil; the loser loses everything, including the very foundation and traces of their existence—a fate worse than death.

On Luofu's side, they had to face Fahai's aggressive demands on one hand, and protect the female ghosts on the other.

It's not that Luo Fu suddenly became incredibly kind at this point.

Rather, as long as it does not threaten itself, Luo Fu does not mind showing some goodwill.

These female ghosts, just as they had said when they sought help from Luofu, were indeed forced to become tools of the Tree Demon Granny.

More importantly, these female ghosts did not possess the ferocity and malevolence that comes from killing.

Besides, Luofu couldn't let all these female ghosts die at Fahai's hands.

Otherwise, wouldn't he be confirming the charges that Fahai made against him?

Not long ago, because he had already lost Yan Chixia, Luofu did not want to lose another Fahai.

In the present moment, the Three Realms are already in a period of decline for the righteous and rise for the demonic. One after another, the already weakened righteous path has been killed. It is not convincing to say that Luofu is not a heretical sect.

People like Yan Chixia and Fahai are extremely rare in the orthodox Xuanmen sect. Even Zhi Qiu Yiye can be considered a master of the orthodox Xuanmen sect.

In this situation, the death of any one of them would weaken the righteous path of heaven and earth.

Of course, just like Yan Chixia, he was driven by the great power of Heaven and the net of cause and effect, and ultimately died at the hands of Luofu.

Fahai is now in a similar situation.

Without Luo Fu's appearance, his mind would have been compromised by accidentally capturing the spider demon. In the bamboo forest, witnessing a peasant woman giving birth would have aroused his desires, which would eventually spiral out of control.

This series of changes was a tribulation for Fahai himself.

But now, the appearance of Luo Fu has replaced these calamities; he is now Fahai's greatest tribulation.

Fahai's mistake of capturing the spider demon is an example of the five poisons of Buddhism: greed, anger, ignorance, pride, and doubt. Pride is also one of the seven deadly sins.

He didn't even bother to discern whether the spider demon's words were true or false. He simply recognized her true nature and held the attitude that humans and demons could not coexist. He captured the spider demon, suppressed her under the ancient pavilion, and crippled her cultivation.

After his mind was compromised, he saw a peasant woman giving birth and his lustful thoughts arose in his heart. This is the lust for wealth, sex, fame, food, and sleep among the five desires in Buddhism.

Ultimately, he remained obstinate, making one mistake after another, until the White Snake and Green Snake flooded Jinshan Temple and he saw the White Snake giving birth amidst the raging flood, which finally made him realize the truth.

All these tribulations and trials, with the sudden emergence of Luofu, fell upon him.

Luofu is not like those places that specifically await Fahai's trials.

This ordeal he's facing could truly be fatal.

Yan Chixia serves as a cautionary tale.

Facing the golden fire dragon and the shirtless Fahai, Luo Fu raised an eyebrow.

As he met the fire dragon with a palm strike, blazing golden light instantly condensed into a giant hand, grabbing at the fire dragon with overwhelming force. At the same time, his armor also instantly disintegrated, scattering into fragments that rushed towards Fahai.

I never dreamed there were such methods.

Caught off guard, the fragments of the sword case clanged and clattered as they reassembled into armor on Fahai's body.

Unlike his previous armor on Luofu, which was primarily defensive, the armor now completely controlled Fahai's movements. Even Fahai's magical power seemed to vanish into thin air as the armor was on him, becoming completely ineffective.

Without Fahai's magical support, the fire dragon that had been captured by the golden hand let out a whimper and exploded, flying back towards Fahai's direction.

"Monster!" Despite struggling fiercely, he not only failed to break free from the armor, but his magical power remained firmly dormant within his body. Fahai showed no fear, only angrily rebuking Luofu before proclaiming loudly, "Great Mighty Heavenly Dragon! All Buddhas are merciful, granting me the light of Bodhi Buddha, well done, well done!"

A rainbow streaked across the sky, and above Fahai's head, it coalesced into a winding, rainbow-like beam of Buddha's light.

With his eyes closed, Fahai said, "Amitabha, this humble monk is incompetent! Today I am defeated by you, you demon. Although I am defeated, evil will not prevail over good. In the future, you will surely fail in your endeavors and die."
