Warhammer: This Galen's Heart of Steel

Chapter 56: Xerath the Enlightened

Chapter 56: Xerath the Enlightened
In fact, the Webway project that the Emperor was working on was better than the Tombstone Gate.

The Emperor and the Oil Man directly built a section of the Webway, and used this section of the Webway to connect with the Webway left by the Ancients. The Emperor's Webway technology is more useful than the technology of the Tombstone Gate.

Alas, Magic Pony!!!
The second Necron transportation technology is the inertia-free drive.

Through special technology, the Necrons are able to bypass the limitations of special relativity and travel at superluminal speeds.

Galen did not think too much about the inertia-free engine, because the side effects were too great. Even the mechanical bodies and soulless characteristics of the Necrons could not allow them to use the inertia-free engine for a long time.

Another problem is that it must be used in conjunction with the Pharos Lighthouse. Otherwise, operating it requires a specially constructed technician who can slow down the sense of time to use it, otherwise it is easy to bump into things.

"The Necrons' physical technology is very advanced. If we can dig up some good stuff, the Great Crusade will go much more smoothly, and you won't have to worry about the Emperor destroying Baal."

Sanguinius' heart skipped a beat, and he stared into Garen's deep eyes.

"How do you know I'm worried about that?"

"It's obvious that the people who brought me to Heaven's Land are more fanatical than any religious believers I have ever seen. This is something the Emperor would not allow."

Sanguinius lowered his eyes, his heart unsettled by the words in his ears.

Galen did not tell him that the Emperor had granted Baal complete autonomy in order to coax him into joining the Great Crusade.

"Don't worry. Even if nothing good is dug out, I will plead with the Emperor on your behalf. And with Russ on the same ship as me, Baal will be fine. Don't worry."

Sanguinius' throat tightened, he wondered how he could ever repay his brother, thousands of words on the tip of his tongue, finally turning into a simple, heartfelt phrase.

"Thank you."

From an angle he couldn't see, Garen smiled like an old fox, as if his trick had succeeded.

Is this cheating? No!
Just a bunch of white lies.

The two walked along the metal-carved carpet towards the inner layers of the palace. The closer they got to the inner layers, the more exquisite and luxurious the coffins along the way became.

"what--!"

Miserable howls drowned the ears of the two men. Sanguinius spread his wings and rushed to the innermost part of the hall at high speed, regardless of possible traps.

The two arrived one after the other, and what appeared before them was a giant pyramid forged from metal.

At the top of the pyramid, a giant metal ring slowly came to life. It split into two arcs, and intense electric currents were pulsating around it.

Ripples appeared in the void between the arcs, and the thin air expanded and surged outward. A tiny golden dot appeared at the center of the oscillation, expanding rapidly and randomly, connecting with the ring to form a magnificent golden disk.

And the wailing came from the golden vortex.

Sanguinius has transformed stillness into movement.

His legs curled up as his huge wings spread out, and this movement was faster than the blink of an eye. He soared into the air, turned into a golden shadow, flew high up, and then dived towards the strange metal ring.

"Wait!"

Galen appeared in front of Sanguinius at an even faster speed, stopping his reckless behavior.

Sanguinius frowned in confusion, but because of his trust in his brother, he stopped.

The next second, the vortex began to shake even more violently, and a hideous monster's head popped out from it.

But it seemed to be stuck, with only the head entering the material world and the body blocked on the other side of the door.

Garen ignored the monster's roar and stretched out two fingers to pinch the monster's soft, wrinkled skin.

He pulled hard and tore off a piece. A flash of metal appeared. Under the dark grey wrinkled skin was not twisted flesh and blood, nor calcium bones, but hard dark silver metal.

Galen frowned and put the skin fragments into the analysis instrument for scanning. He finally concluded that this deformed monster made of flesh, blood and metal was a Baal.

"Bad news. This monster is one of your people. Do you still want it? If not, let me study it."

Galen told him regretfully.

Sanguinius was silent for a moment, but finally nodded in agreement. At this moment, the arc on the metal ring suddenly became unstable, and the end of the arc collided with the hard metal, creating a string of dazzling sparks.

Due to insufficient energy supply, the golden vortex shook violently and then collapsed inward. The poor Baal man's head was cut off and rolled on the ground.

Garen picked it up without any disgust and hung it on the metal buckle on his right belt with an iron chain.

“The interior of this pyramid is hollow. You can see those metal pipes inserted into the ground. There must be more good things hidden inside.

You pull me up into the air, and I'll cut a hole with my sword."

Sanguinius nodded and flapped his wings, while Galen hung in the air by his calves.

He drew out the Blade of the God-King, and with one slash of the sharp blade, he cut open a gap in the top of the pyramid that was big enough for two people to walk through.

Sanguinius took Garen and flew down from the entrance. Countless dense pipelines crisscrossed and converged to the center of the pyramid from all directions.

On the giant platform shining with pale blue light, stood a strange armor made of gray-black metal. Although it was called armor, Sanguinius felt that it looked more like a cage, a cage used to imprison some alien creatures.

"What exactly is this?"

"Not sure, let's fly down and take a look."

Sanguinius slowly descended, and the moment Garen's metal boots touched the floor, electronic circuits emitting a faint blue light lit up under his feet, and the energy in the nuclear battery built into the [Heart of Iron] was absorbed at a terrifying speed.

The red alarm sign filled Garen's field of vision, and he shouted, "Fly up!"

Sanguinius immediately rose up, but Garen was like being sucked by a huge magnet. He exhausted all his strength until the contact surface between his metal boots and the floor was torn apart alive, and only then did the two of them get rid of the terrifying suction.

"Give me some more energy young man, and I can fulfill any of your wishes."

Cang Gu's voice vibrated in the air. With his keen senses, Garen found the source of the sound, which was this giant suit of armor.

"Who are you!"

He raised the God-King's Blade and pointed it at the empty armor, ready to chop it into pieces at any time.

"I am the Lord of Fear of Death, an ascended god. Even the ancient saints who have ruled the universe for countless years have to fear me. My name is [The Enlightened] Xerath——!"

The voice was majestic and full of majesty and domineering.

Sanguinius: "Who?"

"The ruler of the Dead Realm, the creator of the Necrons, the Ascended Star God."

"I'm really sorry, I don't know anything you said."

"."

"Anyway, if you let me out, I can fulfill any of your wishes."

“I want to make the world peaceful and free of disputes.”

Sanguinius clasped his fingers together before his chest and expressed his innermost wish.

"."

"Okay, the other kid, what's your wish?"

Galen: "Destroy the Warp."

"Little girl, let's talk about world peace."

This Necron’s name is really Xeratha, I didn’t make it up.

This guy’s character is quite similar to Xerath in League of Legends. One is a body of pure energy, and the other wants to become a body of pure energy.

Also, he is bragging.
