Chapter 99: Doing Bad Things to Fulgrim
Chapter 99: Doing Bad Things to Fulgrim
"What tests us will bring us victory; what causes us heartache will bring us joy. The only true happiness is to keep learning, progressing and improving. If we want all this to be as we wish, we must reject all mistakes, ignorance and imperfections. We must walk out of the darkness and find the light!"
— Fulgrim
A Luna Wolves battle barge was hovering in the boundless universe. Fulgrim stared blankly at the war behemoth before him, and the Blackstone Fortress that shaped like an evil octagon, three quarters the size of Holy Terra.
Compared with this behemoth, the battle barge he was on was like a small shrimp, and the opponent could crush him to death with just a flick of a finger.
"Isn't the Second Legion's fleet less powerful than the Luna Wolves? What's with this monster in front of us?"
Facing Fulgrim's questioning, Abaddon, who was supporting on behalf of the Luna Wolves, also stared blankly at the monster in front of him. When did the Second Legion acquire such a facility?
This is definitely not a product of human civilization. Where did the other party dig it out from?
Abaddon thought of the mission that the Dauntless Vanguard had carried out before, exploring the Gothic Sector. The Second Legion must have been excavated in that sector during the archaeological excavation.
According to the intelligence obtained by Abaddon, this giant fortress destroyed one-third of the demon fleet with a single shot, and its firepower was extremely strong.
I just don't know if there are any more good things like this buried in the Gothic Sector.
After returning, I have to suggest to the Primarch that the fleet turn to the Gothic Sector to explore and see if there are any other huge fortresses like this.
For some reason, as soon as he saw this huge fortress, Abaddon felt his heart surge, as if this thing was destined for him.
A warrior from the Dreadnaught was sent aboard to guide the battle barge into the Blackstone Fortress to meet with the Primarch.
After passing through the mottled darkness, Fulgrim came to a wide square made of bricks of the same black stone, where several Imperial fleets, including the Dreadnought, were anchored.
At a single glance, Fulgrim saw the Primarch standing in the center of the gray platform. He was like a mighty god, sacred and glorious in the cold and dark universe.
The gray-gold armor was shining brightly, like the rising sun at dawn. The golden column transmission mechanism was inlaid on the heavy shoulder armor. The exquisite sword blade was against the body, and the handsome head had a solemn expression.
He is like a god who stands tall and proud. All things in the universe revolve around him.
Although not as beautiful as himself, Fulgrim had to admit that the Primarch was a very kingly man.
"I heard that Garen Crown Guard is an arrogant and rude guy. Now it seems that the rumor is not true."
With his gorgeous purple brocade robes trailing on the ground, Fulgrim walked gracefully to his Primarch brother.
"I am Fulgrim, Primarch of the Emperor's Children Legion."
As he spoke, Fulgrim's eyes were looking at his Primarch brother, or rather, he was looking at the exquisite blade in the Primarch's hand.
It was the second time that Fulgrim had seen a weapon so beautiful, so powerful, that it moved his heart.
The previous one was the flaming blade that the emperor wore around his waist.
Fulgrim once attempted to ask the Emperor for the blade, but was rebuffed by the Emperor on other grounds.
He stretched out his armored hand, and just as he was about to touch the hilt of the sword, a big, broad hand grasped his wrist.
"My brother, even though this is the first time we meet, I feel like I've known you for a long time. Let's go to the reception room and chat slowly!"
The smile on Fulgrim's beautiful face was a little stiff; the Primarch of the Second Legion was too hospitable.
Galen didn't wait for Fulgrim to answer, but grabbed his wrist and walked deeper into the Blackstone Fortress.
"My brother, I can walk by myself, you don't have to hold my wrist all the time!"
"Hey! This is a Demacia tradition. When you meet your brothers, walking together is a symbol of brotherhood."
"Uh uh uh"
A bit too enthusiastic
Fulgrim looked a little bitter. The Primarch of the Second Legion was not the same as what Horus had described.
It's so different!!
"My brother, why don't you ask what other traditions of hospitality Demacia has?"
Seeing that the talkative Fulgrim didn't say much, Galen enthusiastically started a conversation. "So what other traditions are there?"
Fulgrim wanted to pull his hand away, but Galen's grip was too tight.
No matter how he struggled, this guy just ignored him.
"When we meet friends and relatives for the first time, we will knock on their heads to express hospitality and friendship."
"Ahhh?"
Fulgrim began to sense that something was wrong. He came here to beat up the Second Primarch to vent Horus's anger, so why did he get hit on the head first?
"That's not necessary!"
"I can already feel your passion!"
Although Fulgrim had expressed his strong refusal, Galen still refused to give in and even cited the Emperor's deeds to persuade him.
"I'll tell you in secret, I've even knocked the Emperor on the head. I'm the first person in the universe to knock the Emperor on the head and still be alive."
"what?"
Fulgrim stared at his brother in horror.
The Emperor, although he appeared benevolent and kind on the surface, Fulgrim saw behind him piles of bones and rivers of red.
As a son, Fulgrim stood in awe of the Emperor, in awe of his power, in awe of his authority.
Now, a tough guy jumps out and tells him that he has beaten the emperor.
When they reached a dark corner with no one around, Galen stopped and turned to stare at Fulgrim.
"Okay, let's do it here. Let's hurry up and do our work."
Fulgrim waved his hand and smiled with narrowed eyes.
"I really don't want it anymore."
"It's okay, I'm quick."
thump—
Max HP: +782
Fulgrim was knocked dizzy, and as the health accumulated by Heartsteel increased, the additional damage from the Colossal Devour also increased.
The blow to the fragile brain almost knocked Fulgrim unconscious.
Tap tap tap.
There were footsteps in the shadows, and a faint candlelight moved closer and closer with the footsteps.
The candlelight lit up her face, her beautiful blue eyes glowed, and her white wings fluttered gently in the candlelight.
"Brother, it feels so exciting to do bad things!"
Lux appeared in the darkness holding a lamp.
"Why are you holding a candle?"
"Villains who do bad things are all like this, but it's a pity that I can't find the hood!"
After stroking Lux's warm little head, Garen spoke.
"Do as I tell you."
The Primarch had Lux implant a psychic command into Fulgrim's brain in case the crumbling Empire State Building could not be saved.
At a critical moment, it might save the life of a loyal Primarch.
