Under One Person: I Rebuilt Trinity Gate in Modern Times
Chapter 94 Wudang, the King.
Chapter 94 Wudang, the King.
"Just keep that clear and bright moment."
“Don’t suppress those delusions.”
“Those delusions will fall away without you even noticing.”
“This is called returning to one’s roots!”
Wudang Mountain, in a hall used for lectures that was newly built in recent years.
An old Taoist priest with thin stature, white hair and kind brows was lecturing on Taoism.
In the hall that could accommodate a hundred people, there were thirty or forty people sitting scattered around. These people were old and young, male and female. They were not Taoists, but just ordinary people. But without exception, these people were either rich or noble.
Above the front of the hall, there is a red banner with a few large words printed on it.
The first public welfare and charity lecture of Hua Xia Taoist College.
The old man who was preaching above was none other than Zhou Meng, the current head of Wudang.
Everyone below was listening to Zhou Meng's lecture attentively.
Qin Che was sitting at the back of the hall, listening just as attentively, but compared to the others, he heard more deeply.
All things return to their roots. Returning to the roots is called tranquility, and tranquility is called returning to destiny. Returning to destiny is called constant, and knowing constant is called enlightenment.
This is a passage from the Tao Te Ching.
What Zhou Meng said about returning to one's roots can be applied in spiritual practice to form the four words "emptiness and tranquility".
To reach the extreme of emptiness and maintain absolute stillness is the key to unlocking the wonders of nature. Changes in the outside world are happening all the time. This is the way of heaven and earth. Human life and death are also in the changes of heaven and earth.
But if you can keep your mind calm and no longer have any greed, anger, or worries, you will unlock the inner mechanism of endless creation, allowing your nature to continue to improve, and you will be able to let the world change without any objection.
As for returning to the root, the root means knowing the origin, and returning all artificially created acquired creations to the innate.
Qin Che understood it as the innate Qi after reverse biochemistry.
Although the methods of Taoism in the world are endless, if you trace back to the roots, they are actually all about returning to the innate nature, escaping from the material world, and achieving immortality.
If Taoist Master Zhou Meng was talking about specific Wudang techniques today, Qin Che would probably be confused, but if he was talking about the "greater principles" beyond these "skills".
Qin Che, on the other hand, was able to understand it thoroughly and put it to good use.
What Master Zhou talks about is very broad. It is a kind of context. The core of this context is the Taoist principle of going with the flow, governing by inaction, and using inaction to transform and adapt to all things.
Qin Che can directly apply what he hears to his practice, and ordinary people can also apply it to many things.
Looking at the other people who were attending the lecture, Qin Che couldn't help but sigh in his heart that Wudang Mountain's cultural industry is doing really well. Apart from anything else, the popularity of Tai Chi alone is something that other Taoist sects cannot even dream of, and it is truly unique.
Although several great masters of that generation in the last century all failed because of Fenghou Qimen.
As a result, Wudang is now slightly weaker in the circle, but after all, its foundation is still there, and it has very close ties with the secular world. I don’t know how many connections it has accumulated.
Qin Che originally wanted to find Ao Beiyang today, but when he arrived, he heard that Taoist Master Zhou Meng was giving a lecture, so he was naturally interested.
Because Qin Che had previously signed up for Ao Beiyang for the Wudang training class through the Taoist College, he was able to sit in and listen for two hours for free using the Taoist College's quota.
There was nothing serious happening with Ao Beiyang. He said that he could not bear it any longer because of the exhaustion. After all, they were in Wudang Mountain, so there wouldn't be any big problems. Therefore, Qin Che was not in a hurry to find him.
As Taoist Zhou Meng finished his sermon, everyone dispersed one by one. A woman who looked to be in her early thirties took the initiative to come forward and start a conversation with Taoist Zhou Meng. Zhou Meng seemed to be familiar with her and naturally responded enthusiastically.
Qin Che went out directly to look for Ao Beiyang.
"My friend, your footsteps are so light." A Taoist priest wearing glasses who was standing outside the door looked at Qin Che's back and gossiped.
"What's so strange about this? Maybe he is someone from the circle. When the master teaches, people from the circle will also benefit a lot." Another Taoist priest with a serious look folded his arms and looked at Qin Che.
"Ah, I've heard the Return to the Roots section so many times that my ears are callused."
"Freeze said!"
"Hahaha, I almost didn't fall asleep today either."
The name Wudang comes from the Great Emperor Zhenwu, which means "only Zhenwu can be worthy of it". This place was originally the Taoist temple of the Great Emperor Zhenwu in the north. After being conferred titles by emperors of various dynasties, especially during the reign of Emperor Chengzu of the Ming Dynasty when the Forbidden City was built in the north and Wudang was built in the south, it has become a holy place for Taoism in the world, and its reputation is no less than that of Longhu Mountain.
All those who truly have one or two great Daoist veins can find traces of them in Wudang.
Since there were indeed quite a few palaces, it took Qin Che a while to find the place even with someone showing him the way.
Finally we arrived at a palace built next to a rock wall.
The scenery here is extremely beautiful, with a broad view and a comfortable atmosphere. You can see seven or eight people doing standing meditation or sitting cross-legged in meditation.
Many of them had long hair and tied it into a Taoist bun.
These should be the same group of students in the Taoist crash course that Qin Che signed Ao Beiyang up for.
Participated through the Taoist Association.
Even the Taoist Association only holds this kind of class twice a year, one in summer and one in winter.
The registration price is of course not cheap, but what is taught is real stuff.
Standing meditation, entering into a state of concentration, and Tai Chi.
Although it is not a secret method, it is absolutely authentic.
These things are actually widely circulated among the people, but you can learn them systematically and professionally by enrolling in this class. Most of the people who come to learn are ordinary people with some basic knowledge, and some are sent here by their families who want to experience Taoist culture to study. No matter what kind of person they are, practicing Taoism and strengthening the body are good things.
There are also some extraordinary people who have really learned the essence.
"Hello, who are you?" A Taoist priest who was instructing people in standing still here saw Qin Che coming and came forward to greet him.
"I have a friend who signed up for a class here through the association. I came to find him."
"Students from the training class? They are all here."
Qin Che looked around and found that Ao Beiyang was not in this area.
"Master, my friend is not here."
The Taoist priest was puzzled at first, but then he remembered something and asked, "Is your friend's surname Ao?"
"Yes, yes, that's right, Taoist priest, Ao Beiyang." After hearing Qin Che's confirmation, the Taoist priest smiled and said, "He is inside, and he has someone to guide him."
Qin Che looked in the direction he was pointed and saw a small path in front of him. He didn't know where it led to, so he thanked him hurriedly and then walked along the path.
When you walk out of the path, the view suddenly opens up. You will find that you are right in front of a rocky cliff. A few steps ahead is a cliff, and you can directly see the sea of clouds rising below.
Ao Beiyang was wearing a loose training suit, sitting on the edge of the cliff, meditating quietly.
On the bluestone next to him, a young Taoist priest was lying, holding a dogtail grass in his mouth and dozing with his head supported by his hands.
"Beiyang."
Qin Che tried to call out.
Ao Beiyang, who was meditating, suddenly woke up, opened his eyes and saw Qin Che in front of him.
His mouth immediately pursed in grievance and he quickly stood up.
"Brother Che, you're finally here! I missed you so much. This class you signed me up for is killing me. I thought it was a summer camp."
Ao Beiyang in front of him was much thinner than he was two months ago, and his complexion was better, especially his facial features, which actually looked more handsome. There was also a faint aura about him that made Qin Che secretly surprised.
"Please take me away quickly, I can't bear it anymore." Ao Beiyang continued.
"It's nothing more than standing still, meditating, and learning Tai Chi. What's so hard to endure?"
Qin Che patted Ao Beiyang on the shoulder.
"Standing still? Do you know? It takes me three hours to stand still!"
"I even asked Daoist Master Wang to supervise me these past few days!"
At this point, Ao Beiyang turned his head and looked at the young Taoist who was dozing on the bluestone.
He quickly made a hushing gesture.
"Speak softly, don't wake up Master Wang. He used to be very easy-going, but he has become much stricter these past few days for some reason."
"This Taoist priest has woken up." Qin Che said in a low voice.
"Oh no?"
Sure enough, the young Taoist on the bluestone slowly opened his eyes, yawned and stretched.
But he had no intention of interfering with the conversation between Ao Beiyang and Qin Che. His face was full of indifference, and he stood on the edge of the cliff and supported himself.
Ao Beiyang looked at the Taoist priest Wang cautiously: "Master, my friend came to see me today, can we not stand in the stance at night?"
Taoist Wang's face was full of laziness, but his tone was unquestionable.
"I don't want you to stand still, but my master has given me a death order. If you don't stand still, he will beat me."
When Ao Beiyang heard that if he didn't stand still, Taoist Wang would be beaten, he softened his tone.
Then, he said a little aggrievedly: "Okay."
"Come on, Beiyang. You look a lot more handsome these past few days. If you can hold on like this until school starts, Liu Ruyan will be surprised."
"Really? Qin Che!"
"More real than Ding Zhen."
"Who is Ding Zhen?"
Qin Che suddenly remembered that at this moment the man was still herding horses on the grassland, and had not yet achieved the path of innocence with his smile.
"It's okay, it's true anyway."
When Liu Ruyan was mentioned, Ao Beiyang immediately went back to standing with full energy.
Taoist Wang's gaze narrowed slightly, and he carefully examined Ao Beiyang, making sure that there was no major problem with the pile position before he withdrew his gaze.
"Thank you for your help, Taoist priest." Qin Che nodded slightly in greeting.
Taoist Wang came to Qin Che's side, his voice cold but easy-going.
"No trouble, I just started keeping an eye on it these past few days."
After a short pause, the Taoist priest Wang added seriously, "It's not that we in Wudang are deliberately torturing him, but your friend is indeed extraordinary and a good material. My master was really afraid that it would be a waste, so he arranged for me to give him a small lesson."
Taoist Wang folded his hands into his sleeves and looked calmly at Ao Beiyang who was carefully looking for the stance. The more accurate the stance, the more relaxed he felt.
"I understand. He's about to get Qi, right?"
In Qin Che's eyes, scattered Qi was already flowing out of Ao Beiyang's body.
That is the reason why one is about to obtain Qi, but the true Qi dissipates and one cannot control oneself.
It is very easy for people in the circle to hide their aura, but for those who have not yet started practicing but are about to obtain Qi, it is impossible to hide their aura.
Because they are still unable to control the flow of their Qi in their meridians.
The few shallow true Qi gathered through practice will dissipate like smoke from time to time. When the Qi clings to the body like mist, it is basically done.
Taoist Wang looked at Qin Che with an expression of "I see." "Sure enough, you are also from the circle."
"Thank you again. I discovered before that my friend has some talent, but I couldn't be sure. The only way I could do was to see if I could let him start practicing. I didn't expect that he would get Qi directly." After all, his brother was practicing here, so Qin Che was very polite in every word he said.
"Haha, no need to thank me. I didn't work too hard. My master has been taking care of him before. Because it is the peak tourist season recently, there are a lot of guests going up the mountain, so my master needs to arrange it. That's why he let me come here."
"My name is Qin Che, from Trinity School, Qin Che."
Trinity? Taoist Wang carefully searched for information about Trinity in his mind. It seemed that it was a sect that had been abandoned for a long time.
In fact, the opening ceremony of Wuyuan Mountain has already set off a wave in the circle.
But this Taoist priest was obviously the kind of person who truly applied purity and inaction in his life and had never paid attention to these things at all.
But he also responded.
"Wudang, the king."
