Chapter 164 Roman Governor

Jesus said again, "Anyway, as a father, I would like to ask you to take good care of my wife and unborn child. This is the one thing that worries me the most."

After saying this, Jesus stood up and said, "This is the end of dinner, go back and rest."

Peter asked worriedly, "Then what you said about being arrested."

Jesus said: "What is destined in fate will definitely happen. Even if I escaped today, it will still happen tomorrow. Don't panic, this is God's arrangement, and no one can change it."

Jesus sent everyone out of the gate. Judas saw several figures swaying in the darkness. He wanted to say goodbye to Jesus, but his timidity stopped him.

At this time, Jesus opened his arms and said to Judas with a smile, "What? Don't you want to kiss me as a Passover blessing?"

Judas suddenly felt that Jesus was extremely tall at this time, and the shape of the cross seemed to indicate something. He suddenly regretted his actions, but he had already taken the money and had to fulfill his promise.

He leaned over and kissed Jesus on the cheek. This move was obvious, and it was clearly seen by the secret priests.

Just after the disciples dispersed, a priest appeared before Jesus.Jesus was not at all alarmed by their arrival.

He asked calmly, "Are you from Jerusalem?"

The priest nodded and said, "Yes, Jesus, we have come to arrest you by order of the chief priests."

Jesus said: "But the clergy of Judaism do not have the right to arrest people."

The priest smiled and said: "If I explain it to you in another way, it is that our chief priest invites you to go."

Jesus nodded and said, "So I finally have a chance to have a conversation with him."

Jesus did not resist, he was almost captured without a fight, and was taken away from the place of residence by the clergy. Magdalene and Mary rushed out to prevent the clergy from taking Jesus away.

But Jesus said to his mother and wife, "Let me go, it is my destiny."

Magdalene said, "You will die."

Jesus smiled and said, "This is also my destiny."

After speaking, Jesus let go of Magdalene's hand and let the priests take him away.

Two days later, Jesus returned to Jerusalem, this time as a prisoner. And also met the chief priests of Judaism.

At this time, the two people looked at each other, the chief priest sat on a high chair, while Jesus stood on the ground barefoot in shackles.

The chief priest looked at Jesus proudly and asked, "You have finally obeyed the law."

Jesus raised his head and said, "I have come to talk to you."

The chief priest asked, "What are you going to tell me?"

Jesus said: "The old age has passed, and a new age is coming. God wants to take care of us. Just worship him, and he will guide you into the kingdom of heaven. Don't you plan to worship him?"

The chief priest roared: "Don't you forget where you are standing at this moment? This temple is the residence of God, and I communicate with God every day. Donate to the world instead of him, don't you want to create another god to fight against me?" ?"

Jesus said: "You are right. This place used to be the residence of God. It was the temple that God taught Moses and the Israelites to build when God signed a contract with Moses. But what have you done all these years? Are you really in harmony with God? Have you communicated? Have you really received instructions from God, or are you using the name of God to enslave the poor people?"

"Presumptuousness!" cried the chief priest. "Jesus, watch what you say and do! Don't forget whom you are talking to again."

Jesus asked back: "Please pay attention to your words and deeds. I am the Son of God and the Messiah of this world. Be careful when you talk to me."

"This guy is simply a lunatic!" The person next to the chief priest exclaimed, "How dare you speak like that."

"Or he's a liar like his mother!" someone added.

Jesus said: "God has abandoned you noble lords, but he still loves the poor and those who believe in him. You have broken your original oath and given your soul to the devil."

"Shut up!" the chief priests interrupted Jesus' words and said angrily, "You can't just be responsible for what kind of people we are. God's interests are above all else, and this cannot be changed."

"I'm afraid your interests are above all else." Jesus retorted, "Isn't it the dirtiest thing to bind a soul in the name of God?"

The chief priests stood up and pointed to Jesus and said, "Put him in a cell and hand him over to Pilate, governor of Rome tomorrow. The Romans are going to deal with this madman."

When Jesus was dragged away by the clergy, he was still shouting: "Justice is about to come, and the heavenly Father will come to the world again to drive out all evil. Bring light to this world!"

On the second day, Jesus was sent to the Roman governor's palace in Jerusalem by the Jewish clergy in chains.

The governor of Rome has been disturbed day and night by one thing recently. In this land, many saviors and messiahs have emerged for a while. Their common characteristics are to collect money everywhere in the name of God, entrap the people, and even organize armed riots. Overthrow the Roman rule in this land.

Pilate sent Roman legions many times to conquer these folk religious organizations. Although all of them were victorious, he still had to be vigilant in the face of intricate maneuvers, and the edict from the Roman emperor forced him to be vigilant.

This morning, the Jewish clergy brought a disheveled Israeli in shackles. At this time, Pilate had just had breakfast and was sitting behind the big table, belching and listening to the treasurer explain this month's financial report to him. .

He had long seen the clergyman poking his head outside the door, and knew that the priest of the temple was coming to trouble him again, so he pretended not to see it, and continued to squint his eyes and stop the financial officer from telling the painful figures.

After the treasurer finished reporting his work, Pilate saw that the cleric was still standing outside the door, knowing that he would not be able to hide from these annoying Jewish priests today, so he sent his treasurer away and asked the priest to come in and ask talk.

Pilate asked impatiently, "What happened? I haven't owed you this month's money."

The priest said: "My lord, the chief priest asked me to send you a prisoner!"

"Prisoner?" Pilate said nonchalantly, "Is it a thief? Just send him to prison. Why did you send him to me?"

The priest said: "Your Excellency, he is not a thief. He is a man named Jesus. He claims to be the Messiah and the Savior, the Son of God, and spreads blasphemous and false teachings everywhere to confuse the people."

Upon hearing this, Pilate did not dare to neglect, he put down his teacup and said, "Then bring him in, and I will ask questions."

Jesus was brought in. Pilate did not feel disgusted when he saw this young man at first sight, because he had personally interrogated several saviors before, and those liars were all trembling with fright when they saw him, and they didn't look at him at all. He is so majestic in front of his congregation.

But the Jesus in front of him was very strange. He didn't seem to be afraid of him, his eyes were clear and transparent, there was a faint smile on his mouth, and his face was very kind.

Pilate took the accusation about Jesus from the priest, read it carefully, and then asked softly, "Have you ever claimed to be the Son of God, the Messiah of the world?"

Jesus asked Pilate, "Did you say this yourself, or did those people tell you when they were talking about me?"

Pilate smiled slightly and said, "I'm not a Jew. Your Jewish priests handed you over to me to condemn you. What exactly did you do?"

Jesus said impassionedly: "I am the Son of God, the savior Messiah, I was sent by God to the world to save the world. My country does not belong to this world. If he belongs to this world, then this world will definitely be for it." war."

Pilate asked, "What is your kingdom?"

Jesus continued: "That is the kingdom of heaven, the place where God lives. It is full of angels and creatures that humans have never seen before. He is on the snow mountain, and mortals cannot see it."

Pilate looked at Jesus' crimes again, and he called the magistrate to check whether Jesus, who was born in Nazareth, had any criminal records. The magistrate's answer was that Jesus was a law-abiding citizen who even paid his taxes on time, including those taxes that the local tax collector had cunningly named.

Pilate had a little more affection for this Jesus. He admired Jesus’ courage. If he was indeed a liar, then at least he was a courageous liar. Pilate, who was a soldier, was very impressed by Jesus’ courage. definitely. (To be continued..)
