blood of vietnam war

Chapter 140 Rules

Chapter 140 Rules

The preparation time of these two days really made people feel like the rain is about to come and the building is full of wind.

Soldiers who have fought in battle... will arrange for their energy what they should and should not bring.

This kind of preparation seems simple, but in fact there is a lot of knowledge in it.For example: if the battle to be fought requires a rapid march, then the weight should be as small as possible, and if it is to be interspersed with combat, then it is necessary to carry as much ammunition as possible... But this time we are fighting frontally, and the left and right wings are separated. There is a regiment covering, so the supply line can basically be guaranteed, so you can bring less food and ammunition, and you can appropriately add some warm equipment such as marching quilts, tarpaulins and the like.

In fact, the most difficult and dangerous tasks should be considered interspersed combat.

Needless to say the reason, interspersed combat is very likely to make yourself a target of the enemy, and it is also very likely to run out of water, food, and ammunition...

I think the superior may have considered that our regiment has taken on important missions several times. It can be said that it has experienced a narrow escape on the battlefield. In addition, our regiment has indeed had experience in dealing with the 316a Division and has a better understanding of the strategy and tactics of the 316a Division. Only then will we be able to take on the relatively easy frontal attack.

In fact, I know in my heart that although we have fought against the 316a Division and know what level their combat effectiveness is, we still know very little about them.

Some things are often like this. It’s okay if you don’t understand it at all or understand it thoroughly. If you only understand the surface, you will feel even more guilty. Our current situation belongs to the kind that knows a little bit...

What about the recruits who have never fought?Even more nervous, such as Wu Zhijun's class...Obviously they eat less after knowing that the battle is imminent.

It should be said that the food for the past few days is pretty good... Maybe it's because the superiors knew that a group of people wouldn't be able to come back soon after our visit. Of course, this is almost the same as the Vietnamese army agents being searched and suppressed. The logistics are also guaranteed relationship, so every meal can be distributed to rice for cooking, and occasionally meat...

As for where the meat comes from, in fact, everyone knows in their hearts... Even if the logistics are guaranteed, it is impossible to send meat up. At this time, the cars are busy delivering bullets and shells to the position. It is good to have rice. Now, who would be so bored to deliver fresh meat?Besides, in Vietnam's hot and humid weather, any meat will stink after half a day, so there's no such condition to send it away, right?

According to the cooking team, the meat came because they saw that the lost cattle were unclaimed... so they improved the food for the soldiers.Of course the soldiers knew what was going on, but they all knew it.

It’s just that many soldiers who have fought in the war because the bright red beef looks like human flesh, and those who have not fought in the war have lost their appetite because of nervousness, so few people can eat this beef, but it still fails the cooking team kindness.

During the break, the recruits will always ask over and over again what to pay attention to on the battlefield, how to avoid shells, bullets, etc... Of course, people who have fought with books and bayonets are not stingy. Explain to them over and over again...

It's just that I know it won't be of any use, because when I go to the battlefield and the gunshots... I'm afraid I'll forget everything.

The way to survive on the battlefield is not something that can be learned just by talking about it. It needs to form a conditioned reflex, such as getting down as soon as the gunshot sounds, and finding cover as soon as the gunfire sounds... Waiting for you to think about what to do now, I'm afraid your body and capital are already in different places!

So after thinking about it, I set a few rules for the soldiers:

First: All soldiers must use black mud to blacken the red five stars and red collar badges on their hats. If it rains, they must take off these things.

Having experience in sniping, I know very well that these red things clearly tell the devils our position on the battlefield, even in the dark.

Second: All soldiers are not allowed to bring cigarettes to the battlefield.

Soldiers who have the habit of smoking will always secretly smoke a few cigarettes on the battlefield with a fluke mentality. This may be fine during the day, but at night it will not only expose themselves, but even attract artillery fire from the Vietnamese army. Put the whole army in danger.

Third: Once the troops are marching or staying at night, they must strictly follow an order when encountering a sneak attack by the enemy, that is, unless there is an order, they must lie on the ground and kill them without moving.

The reason is very simple. Most of our troops are recruits without much combat experience. When encountering a surprise attack by the Vietnamese army, it is easy to get confused and shoot randomly. There is no way to command.

In fact, this comes from the experience of "infiltration warfare".What I am worried about is that if the Vietnamese army launches a sneak attack on us on the battlefield or uses agents to infiltrate our army to launch an "infiltration war", when the various troops will be in a mess and fight each other, what we have to worry about on the battlefield It's just the Vietnamese army, and our comrades-in-arms...then let's not fight this battle!

There are only these three rules that I set. These three rules should not be difficult to say, and they can even be said to be very simple.

The reason why it is so simple...is because I know very well that if it is too many and complicated, the soldiers will be chaotic and confused as soon as they step on the battlefield, and the result will often be counterproductive.

Of course, the recruits have no objection to the rules I set. They also know that fighting is a life-and-death affair, so they don't dare to start pretending immediately without the slightest delay. Some made straw hats for themselves with branches and leaves, some used mud to blacken the red collar badges according to my order, and some even used branches to insert themselves into the whole body like a hedgehog, which made me dumbfounded. ...

It's just that the few soldiers who fought with me...have opinions on the second point.

"Platoon leader!" The bayonet said: "Then we are used to smoking, and we will feel uncomfortable if we don't smoke on the battlefield... I'm afraid it's not good!"

"Yes, platoon leader!" Xiao Shitou also echoed beside him: "The recruits can abide by this rule, we don't want those who have fought in the war...Anyway, we know that we should hide and smoke during the day and resolutely not smoke at night. !"

I cursed at Xiao Shitou angrily: "You don't smoke, what are you doing?"

"I... don't I just say a few words for the comrades?" Xiao Shitou scratched his head with a face full of grievances.

"Everyone has it!" I didn't allow them to doubt it, and ordered again: "Everyone is not allowed to bring cigarettes to the battlefield. If you want to smoke... I will pay it to Yue Guizi! You pay it from Yue Guizi. Smoke as much as you want!"

"Yes!" The soldiers responded in unison, their faces full of helplessness.

It's just that I didn't expect that, just because I made this rule, my company has since then had a tradition: don't bring cigarettes into battle, and always hand them over to the enemy!

It is precisely because of this rule that many soldiers, due to time constraints after the battle, often go to the devils to search for cigarettes but not to hand in their guns...so other troops called us the troops who hand in cigarettes but not guns. It means...there are too many Vietnamese soldiers killed by us. The guns are too many and too heavy to take away. The only thing that can be taken away is smoke!

In fact, when the battle is fierce, who would be stupid enough to hand in their guns? Having an extra gun on their body will only increase their burden and trouble, and it will not be of any benefit. We would rather take two Refilling the magazines and handing in the guns was left to the containment team or the militia.

"Boom..." At this time, the sound of intensive artillery came from the direction of the old street again, and after a while, there was a burst of flames and smoke in the direction of Sabah.

"Hey! Big Brother Artillery is starting to fight again!" Wang Kechang shouted.

"Good fight!" Xiaoshan Dong responded from the side: "Beat it a few more times, and beat all the devils!"

Of course, it is impossible to kill all the Yue devils. From these words, it can be seen that Xiaoshan Dong is afraid. He hopes that our army will be able to wipe out all the Yue devils with these few shots.

But no one laughed at him, because no matter whether it was a recruit or a veteran, even me, the platoon leader...were all afraid of the battlefield we were about to embark on.

After a while, the scholar said strangely: "Why didn't the Yue devil fight back?"

"Does it need to be said? I'm afraid!" The bayonet showed a bit of pride on his face.

The scholar's question is quite level. Since the artillery of our army fired for the first time last night, every one or two hours, it has fired a shot at the forward position of Sabah like this.

At the beginning, the artillery of the Vietnamese Army would return fire, but after a few times, there was no sound soon.

However, I don't think it's because the Vietnamese army is afraid...

The reason why the Vietnamese army did not fight back, I think it is very likely that the logistics supply is insufficient.

At this time, the Vietnamese army can be said to be fighting on two fronts, fighting Cambodia on the one hand, and fighting China on the other. In addition, they have basically no industrial capabilities after fighting for many years. Most of the weapons and ammunition need to be provided by the Soviet Union... so this shell For them, it's one shot and one shot less.

In some respects, I believe our artillery units also expected the Vietnamese artillery to return fire.

Once the artillery of the Vietnamese army returned fire, the position would be exposed, and our artillery could then target these artillery positions for bombing.

Secondly, if the artillery of the Vietnamese army returned fire, after a large amount of shells were consumed... it is very likely that when our army actually attacked, it would not be able to effectively suppress the charge of our infantry due to insufficient shells.

So... I believe that the Vietnamese artillery is not afraid, but has seen through our artillery's strategy and concealed its strength.

In other words, the real battle has not started at this time, but the enemy's artillery has already begun to fight openly or covertly, and the result of this fight is likely to directly affect the outcome of the next battle.

At the same time, the bursts of cannons, like the drums of war in our hearts, made us feel that a big battle was about to break out.

Sometimes, I would prefer to start fighting as soon as I receive an order, instead of the whole camp being shrouded in a tense and depressive atmosphere like now, which makes people almost breathless... (To be continued.)
