Captain Jack of Azeroth
Chapter 254: Encounter with Jaina
Chapter 254: Encounter with Jaina
"Come up!"
Rude shouted sharply after the crew had put the planks on the three ships.
He also disliked the orcs. If it weren't for Jack's order, Rude might have already attacked the orcs.
The orcs looked at Rude angrily, and no one moved.
Thrall saw this and was the first to board the Black Pearl. The orcs had no choice but to follow him. They would not let the chieftain be a prisoner alone. Even if they died, they would die with the chieftain.
Jack returned to the Black Pearl and saw that they had driven all the orcs into the cabin, and then he let the crew take away the orcs' weapons.
Then Jack turned the Black Pearl around and headed west.
Capturing the orcs was just Jack's way of venting his anger, and the deal with Medivh still had to be completed.
That's right, he still wanted to send the orcs to Kalimdor, and directly to the peninsula east of the Barrens, the future Durotar.
The Black Pearl had an extremely fast speed and it took only more than two months to deliver the orcs to their destination.
Drive the orcs off the boats and throw their weapons on the beach.
"You are lucky. Someone made a deal with me, so I spared your lives. From now on, if you do evil again, I will not hesitate to take your lives."
The orcs looked at each other in bewilderment. They really couldn't understand why Jack would send them to the Western Continent. Wasn't this their original destination?
According to Thrall's plan, they would need to take at least half a year by ship to reach Kalimdor. But after being captured, they arrived twice as fast as expected.
Is there such a good thing?
Don't blame the monsters for being optimistic; this is a blessing in disguise for them.
Apart from the death of a Warsong Orc, they did not suffer any casualties, which was much better than expected.
However, they did not know that if they followed the course of history, they would have met the Darkspear Trolls halfway, and then would have helped the Tauren, and then the orcs would have become the dominant race in the new tribe, forming a powerful tribe that could fight against the Alliance.
However, a powerful tribe is not what Jack wants to see.
The confrontation between the Horde and the Alliance is indeed exciting, but this kind of internal friction greatly consumes the strength of both sides. And the enemies that Azeroth will face next are stronger than each other. If both sides have too much internal friction, it may lead to a lack of strength in the later stage and eventually lead to defeat.
When Jack traveled through time, World of Warcraft had not yet reached its finale, so Jack didn't know what the final plot would be.
Although the end of time is a prophecy, it represents the final destination of all things in the universe. However, it is not certain whether it will arrive billions of years later or just around the corner.
Jack didn't expect to live forever, not even the Titans could guarantee eternal life.
As long as the end of time is not in sight, he will not care about what happens billions of years later.
Thrall watched the Black Pearl depart thoughtfully. He didn't know if it was an illusion, but he always felt that Jack had sent them to Kalimdor on purpose.
But why did he do this? Could it be related to the deal he mentioned?
It seems that he needs to clarify this matter when he meets the prophet again.
Thrall chose a valley where he wanted to build a city for the orcs. In memory of the former warchief, he named the city Orgrimmar. Also in memory of his father whom he had never met, he named the land under his feet Durotar. Thrall gave the task of building Orgrimmar to Hellscream, and he needed to go to Stonetalon Mountain to meet the prophet.
The Black Pearl sailed eastward, and just a few days after leaving Suramar, it encountered a fleet head-on.
Jack thought there was something wrong with the fleet and sent Rude to check it out. It turned out to be a fleet from Kul Tiras, carrying a large number of Lordaeron people and preparing to settle in Kalimdor.
The leader of this fleet was Jaina Proudmoore.
Upon hearing the news, Jack went over immediately. After revealing his identity to Jaina, Jaina was surprised, "I heard from the teacher about you, Captain Jack, you are a great man."
Jaina did not lie. In her opinion, Jack deserves his respect because he did not give up on himself after becoming a pirate and continued to help the weak and solve world crises.
Jack didn't care about these things. "Jaina, what happened in Lordaeron that made you make such a decision?"
Jaina didn't know that Jack had met Medivh, so she didn't want to tell him about Medivh. She only told him about Arthas's massacre in Stratholme. "A terrible plague has occurred in Lordaeron. The plague can resurrect the dead and turn them into undead. Prince Arthas and I tracked down clues to the plague and found that it was the Archmage Kel'Thuzad who was behind it."
"We killed Kel'Thuzad and followed the plague-tainted food to Stratholme. Unfortunately, we were too late. The residents of Stratholme had already eaten the food."
"At this time, a demon named Mal'Ganis appeared. He tempted Arthas to massacre all the residents of Stratholme. Not only that, Arthas also decided to go to Northrend to hunt down Mal'Ganis..."
"I think this is a trap set by the devil, but I can't persuade Arthas."
At this point, Jaina started crying.
She and Arthas were lovers, and if it weren't for the plague, they would have married soon. Arthas would have been the next King of Lordaeron, and she would have been the Queen.
Unfortunately, the emergence of the plague changed their fate.
Jack was very surprised. He didn't expect that he would miss the Stratholme incident when he went to Kalimdor. He had originally thought about rescuing some refugees in Stratholme, but now it seemed that he needed to go directly to Northrend.
I just don’t know if it’s too late.
It would take Jaina at least a month to get here from Lordaeron. Even if she assembled a fleet nearby, it would still take several days. Adding the time it took her to get from Stratholme to Lordaeron, it would take at least two months in total.
It took Arthas half a month to massacre in Stratholme, and with that he went to Northrend, a month and a half would be enough.
Jack didn't know how long the battle between Arthas and Mal'Ganis would take, so he needed to rush to Northrend without stopping.
After giving the coastal map of Kalimdor to Jaina, Jack immediately said goodbye.
"I'm going to Northrend and see if I can stop Arthas."
Jaina hesitated for a moment before finally saying, "I hope you succeed."
"I hope I'm in time!"
Half a month later, the Black Pearl arrived at Dragonblight. He then sent out all the air knights and soon found the Lordaeron camp.
However, the scouts also brought back some bad news. Arthas picked up the magic sword Frostmourne, killed Mal'Ganis, and disappeared into the vast snowfield.
