Captain Jack of Azeroth

Chapter 28 Uprising at Sea

Chapter 28 Uprising at Sea
Back in the captain's room, Captain Nadro drew up sixteen contracts, then asked Heavy Punch to wake up the human captives and have them sign the contracts to become his free labor.

However, not everyone was willing to sign. Captain Nedro was so angry that he ordered the prisoners who refused to sign the contract to be put into the cargo hold and hanged together with Jack. In fact, he just wanted Jack to persuade these people, after all, free labor is not so easy to find.

The prisoners were locked in the cargo hold with a heavy punch, and Captain Nedro's words were explained to Jack. The prisoners then discovered that Jack, who had knocked them unconscious, was locked up before them.

"Why are you here?"

The merchant ship guard asked in confusion.

"Nothing!" Jack didn't want to take credit, "Why didn't you sign the contract?"

The merchant ship's guard sneered and said, "I won't sign. The orcs didn't make me surrender. A goblin actually wants to turn me into a slave? Dream on!"

Slave?
Jack's eyes flickered as he reminded them, "But if you don't sign the contract, you will be hanged with me."

Everyone was silent, only the merchant ship guard said: "Then why don't we resist? Even if we die, we must bite a piece of flesh off them."

The merchant ship guard's words reminded everyone, and they began to think about it.

"If we want to resist, we need to open this door first."

"We don't know the number of pirates yet, we don't know where to find weapons."

"Didn't those businessmen just sign a contract? If we let them help us open the door and find the weapons, we can succeed."

Jack listened to their words and started to think. He didn't resist because there were many pirates on the ship. According to him, resistance would only lead to death. So, he thought about giving in first and then escaping. He stayed on the ship before because he wanted to get the Kaga ore for free. Now, with the relationship between him and the goblins, he couldn't even think about getting it for free.

However, these people reminded him. Why couldn't he resist, start an uprising, and seize the ship?

"Maybe I can do something!"

As soon as Jack opened his mouth, everyone gathered around and asked anxiously, "What's the solution?"

"The pirates are divided into four races. The goblins, led by Captain Nedro, have about seven or eight members. Apart from the captain, the rest are artillery soldiers who have been staying in the first cabin. The weapons depot is also on this floor, at the bow. As long as we can reach the first cabin, we can get the weapons."

Everyone: "But we are still some distance away from the first cabin, there is a second cabin in the middle!"

Jack: "The second cabin is the engine room. The pirates rowing the oars are basically humans. Most of them are farmers, and a few are deserters. Some of them can be won over, and I believe your companions will be here too."

Everyone: "We can give it a try. Even if we can't win, we can still rely on a few people to hold them back and allow others to enter the first level of the cabin."

Jack: "The largest number of them are trolls, who are usually responsible for the work on the deck. They live at the stern, and if we act quickly, we don't need to consider their influence before getting the weapons. But they will be the biggest obstacle for us to seize the ship."

Everyone: "We are not afraid of trolls if we have weapons in hand."

Jack nodded, "Okay, let's do it in the middle of the night--"

"Wait, aren't there four races? What about the other one?"

Jack looked at him speechlessly, but the dark cargo hold prevented him from finding out which idiot it was.

The caravan guard said: "The fourth race is naturally the Minotaur."

He asked: "That minotaur has great power, how should we deal with him?" "Leave Anu to me, you only need to consider how to deal with the others."

Everyone said nothing more, but focused on the most important question: "How do we open this door?"

"You'll know by dinner time."

Jack kept it a secret, and the crowd was not sure what to say. They had no other choice but to let Jack give it a try. If it didn't work, they would have to wait for the merchants who had signed the contract to come and open the door.

They didn’t think about whether those people wanted to come and open the door, or whether they had the chance to come and see the door.

Soon, it was time for dinner. After the pirates had a hearty meal, Chong Quan went into the hold with some food.

Jack stood at the door, letting the others eat in the light of the hallway while he talked to Smash.

Through the dim light, Chong Quan's eyes were full of emotion, "Even at this point, you can still remain so optimistic."

Jack raised the corner of his mouth, "What's the matter? Can you still watch me being hanged?"

Chong Quan's face froze, he glanced in the direction of the stairs, and asked in a low voice: "What do you want to do?"

Jack also lowered his voice, "Anu, what good can you achieve by being a bodyguard?"

Chong Quan's eyes flickered, "At least I can make money."

"How much did you earn?" Jack asked jokingly. "I don't need to tell you what kind of people goblins are, right? If you were a captain of another race, you would get at least five times as much money."

Chong Quan thought about it, tapping his fingers on his legs. "Is this the promise you made to me?"

Jack shook his head. "Anu, you are my friend. If I were the captain, I would give you 10% directly."

Chong Quan's breathing became heavier. The annual profit of Baofuhao was at least three thousand gold coins. One percent was three hundred gold coins, which was an enormous fortune!
"What do you want me to do?"

Jack's mouth curled up, "I'm going to launch a maritime uprising..."

Chongquan left, but seemed to have forgotten to lock the door when he left.

The weak light shone into the cargo hold through the window, and everyone in the cargo hold looked at Jack with admiration. They never thought that Jack only needed a few words to convince Chong Quan to turn against them, not only solving the door lock problem, but also bringing in a powerful fighting force.

A few hours later, Jack took the lead out of the cargo hold, leaving two eloquent men and the merchant ship guards to stop the human pirates. He led the rest to the first cabin, pulled out a wire from his hair, and pried open the lock of the weapons compartment.

Two minutes after they went in, they came out fully armed.

Jack felt a little disappointed. There were many weapons in the weapon compartment, but there was no dwarven pistol. At present, the manufacturing process of firearms has not been widely spread, and the scope of dissemination is only among the army of the alliance. Even in the army, only elite soldiers can use it, and ordinary soldiers have never seen it.

However, even with only a sword, Jack was not afraid of the pirates on the ship.

"Rise up, you starving and cold slaves..."
