Captain Jack of Azeroth

Chapter 89: Destination Northrend

Chapter 89: Destination Northrend

Veresa was very angry. She didn't expect Jack to be so irresponsible. Did he treat her as a prostitute who could be bought with money?

She followed the traces Jack left behind and found Jack on the beach at night. She drew her sword and decided to teach Jack a profound lesson.

However, before she could get close to Jack, she heard a loud noise coming from the sea. Looking at the sea, it seemed as if something was coming out.

She hid quickly, and saw Jack stand up and walk towards the beach. She was immediately puzzled. Was Jack waiting for it just now?
Soon, she saw clearly what emerged from the sea. It was a huge warship with a dragon skull on it.

The Naglfar rushed directly onto the shore, and the giants jumped onto the beach, rushed to Jack, and picked him up.

"Jack, you broke our deal again!"

Just as Jack was about to speak, he was thrown onto the boat by the giant. The giant on the boat caught him, pressed him against the mast, and tied him up with a thick rope. The rope was almost as thick as Jack's waist, and it was difficult for Jack to breathe. If he hadn't been strengthened by the blood of the red dragon, he would have been crushed to death long ago.

"Jack—"

When Veresa saw Jack being captured, she immediately rushed out and tried to get Jack back, but the Naglfar retreated quickly into the sea and disappeared from her sight in a short while.

Only then did she understand why Jack left alone.

She also knew why Jack, a pirate, had to roam on land.

It turns out that there is such a powerful enemy in the sea. Even if the guardian dragon comes, it cannot guarantee victory.

She slumped down on the beach, not knowing that Jack might not be able to come back yet.

"Snapped!"

"what--"

Jack let out a shrill scream.

The whips wielded by the giants could strike directly at the soul. The double torture from the body and soul made Jack feel extremely painful.

When Jack passed out, Whitebeard waved his hand to stop the giants. He cast a spell to wake Jack up and asked coldly, "Jack, I once said that if you can't complete the task, I will personally harvest your soul."

Jack opened his eyes slightly and said weakly, "I have been harvesting powerful souls, but the war in the Eastern Kingdom is over."

Whitebeard said coldly: "Did it just end, or was it over before you made a deal with us?"

Jack forced himself to remain calm and asked in confusion, "Why do you say that?"

"We captured Larkin, and he told the Eastern Kingdoms that the war was over long ago," said a giant.

Jack said aggrievedly: "He is my enemy and he wishes I would die sooner! How can you believe him? If the war is completely over, where did the soul in the lantern come from?"

Whitebeard thought about it and realized that there were indeed quite a few souls in Jack's lantern. Although many of the souls were unqualified, there were still a lot of them. If it weren't for the war, it would have been difficult to collect so many souls.

"There are quite a few souls in the lantern, but Jack, it's been over a year, and this number is by no means a lot."

Jack complained, "Can you blame me for this? I'm a pirate, and I was wanted by the human kingdom as soon as I landed. Have you forgotten? You rescued me from the prison in Kul Tiras a year ago. I was hiding from place to place, but I was able to get these souls. It's already a lot."

The giants looked at each other, and what Jack said seemed to make some sense.

Whitebeard frowned slightly, "This is a problem with your ability..."

Jack didn't wait for him to finish, "Sir, I am only one person, and just an ordinary person. I suddenly broke into the battlefield, and I am lucky that the warring parties didn't kill me." White Beard opened his mouth. It seemed that there was nothing to blame Jack for doing this.

After thinking for a while, he waved his hand gently, the rope that tied Jack loosened, and Jack fell headfirst onto the deck.

"Jack, although what you said makes sense. But if the mission is not completed, it is not completed, and punishment must be imposed." Whitebeard said: "Now, do you still want to continue the transaction?"

"Of course!"

Whitebeard took the soul from the lantern and said, "You still need to harvest 4371 souls."

"Wait!" Jack asked in confusion, "I remember I harvested at least 800 souls, how come it's only reduced by more than 200?"

Whitebeard: "Because there are only 229 qualified souls."

Jack was speechless. "This won't work. You have the final say on whether I'm qualified or not. I'm at a huge disadvantage."

Whitebeard said coldly: "Are you questioning my fairness?"

"I mean, I'm at a disadvantage. It's a waste of time to harvest all the unqualified souls."

Jack suggested: "Can you give me a standard so that I can know whose souls are qualified, and then I can just harvest those qualified souls?"

Whitebeard thought about it, then waved his hand and cast a spell on the lantern.

"The lantern will tell you which soul is qualified, but you have to harvest a hundred more souls."

Jack opened his mouth and asked, "Is there any charge for this?"

The giants placed Jack and the lantern on the wooden board, and then the Naglfar slowly sank, leaving Jack alone on the sea.

Jack shouted anxiously: "Wait a minute, I can't move now! What if I get attacked by a shark? Come back quickly... cough cough——"

The seawater poured into Jack's mouth, choking him so that he couldn't speak. When the seawater calmed down, Jack started to cough violently. He almost choked to death.

After giving himself a drink of vitality water, Jack finally had the strength to turn over. Lying on the wooden board, Jack became comfortable.

Jack was in a very good mood after successfully getting away with it. Next, he started to implement his plan.

Taking out the magic compass, Jack thought of Lordaeron, then cast a spell and pushed the wooden board in the opposite direction of the pointer.

A group of dolphins appeared out of nowhere and played around the board.

Jack's injuries gradually healed, and then he headed towards his destination accompanied by the dolphins.

After spending half a month, Jack finally landed on an island. After a short rest, Jack built a small boat and set off again. Using the boat as a vehicle and the dolphin as a horse, Jack once again experienced flying on the sea.

Another month passed, and Jack saw the coastline. He walked west along the coastline and came to the snowfield.

There was only a river between the snowfield and the green land. Jack followed the river, looking at the scenery on both sides, and continued to go deeper inland. Until he saw a gathering point of humans, he let the dolphins leave.

The boat came ashore and Jack disguised himself before heading towards the gathering point.

Here is Jack's destination - Northrend!
