Chapter 12: Marking the Evil
The barrier spell cast by the Nativity this time was a completely new divine spell that had never been seen before. When Charles first discovered this, he was so frightened that he broke out in a cold sweat.

A brand new barrier technique. If the Incarnation Society had not kept this divine technique hidden, then it could only be bestowed by the "Evolution" itself.

Charles is used to speculating on the worst possible scenario. He doesn't think he is worrying too much, and this caution has benefited Charles a lot.

He began to consider the consequences of the latter.

If it was the blessing of the deity "Evolution", then it meant that the evil god was present in this sacrifice ceremony. Charles reported incidents of this magnitude to the kingdom and the church immediately.

Although the king and the Pope have not sent anyone here yet, they are definitely paying close attention to the situation here.

So what is the reason why they plan to wait and see?

Charles could only think of Wyatt, trapped inside the academy.

When it comes to attainments in "holy" divine arts, Charles admits that Wyatt is better than him, but divine arts alone cannot handle this crisis.

Hopefully, everything is still under Wyatt's control.

Charles continued to analyze the barrier, and he encountered a bottleneck that was difficult to break through. He knew that he needed to start from the center of the formation, but unfortunately the defense of the center of the formation was so solid that he could not break through it at all.

Charles was ready to order his subordinates to ask for help from the church. If they wanted to quickly break this level of barrier, they would need the assistance of three cardinals.

Just as Charles was about to speak, he discovered that four rays of holy light arrived at the center of the formation at the same time, instantly breaking through the blockade and completely evaporating the sacrifice in the center of the formation.

The flesh-colored cross shattered instantly along with the barrier, and the gust of air it created swept across the nearby streets.

"The barrier is broken, everyone enter the academy, arrest all suspected degenerates, and are allowed to kill the rebellious heretics!"

At Nora's command, the security team of the Second Institute quickly entered the academy and quickly searched every corner of the academy as planned in the backup plan.

"Thank you for your hard work, Bishop Charles."

"No, I didn't destroy this barrier."

"It wasn't you who destroyed it? Was it His Holiness the Pope?"

"Someone broke it from the inside."

"Are you trying to say that Wyatt broke the barrier?"

"Why, you don't believe it?" Charles smiled kindly, "You'd better not judge people by appearance, Your Highness."

"I have never doubted Wyatt's divine attainments, but I really don't appreciate his way of doing things."

"But aren't you planning to go and see him yourself?"

"...Bishop Charles, you should have a good rest. Leave the rest to me."

Nora turned around and gathered a team and rushed into the academy.

Charles smiled helplessly when he saw this situation, and sighed in his heart that young people nowadays are really full of vitality.

The guards who blocked Clara Academy searched all the facilities along the way as quickly as possible. Finally, four guards led by Helen met Dorothy in the square of the Magic Court. She learned from Dorothy that Wyatt seemed to be going to rescue the priests who were controlled by the pagans.

By asking the professors at the Theocracy, Helen learned that the pagans imprisoned teachers and students in the auditorium, so she immediately notified Nora.

The team led by Nora was the most mobile and closest to the Great Hall of the Priestly Academy. She quickly led her team to the entrance of the Great Hall and completely surrounded it.

"Heretic! You are now surrounded, give up resistance immediately! The Inquisition will give you a lenient sentence, but stubborn resistance will lead to bad consequences!"

The Patriarch in the auditorium stopped kowtowing frantically. He was still trying to appease Evolution, but was suddenly interrupted by Nora's persuasion to surrender. His anger reached a new level. He uttered another sticky syllable, and it sounded like he was begging for something.

Unlike before, his plea was answered.

The eggs on the stone platform began to move. The originally smooth surface began to roll like boiling water. After a moment, blood-red branches emerged from it and grew outward.

A blood-red sapling bloomed from the egg, bringing with it an ominous smell.

Wyatt instantly cast a purification spell to block the evil spirits for the teachers and students behind him, but Nora and others outside were not so lucky.

The world in his eyes was filtered through a blood-red filter. Incomprehensible mumblings went in and out of the left ear like slippery earthworms, going back and forth in his skull.

Fortunately, the priests in the team were well-trained and quickly stepped forward to use their magic to build a line of defense against the evil spirits, which made the others feel better.

"This is not an evil spirit that ordinary pagans can create. What happened inside..." Nora looked pale and looked at the facade of the auditorium anxiously, "Wyatt..."

The scene in the auditorium was like a picture of hell. The evil spirits from "evolution" attacked everyone indiscriminately, and only the Patriarch, who could communicate directly with "evolution", still maintained his human form.

The other pagans have all turned into lumps of flesh that only know how to praise "evolution".

"Professor, what on earth is going on here?"

"Children, this is... the true face of heretics. Be careful of evil spirits! Keep your mind focused and don't forget the content of the meditation class... Thanks to Director Wyatt, if there were no powerful priests present, we would have become the same as those pagans."

"I heard that Director Wyatt can definitely become a cardinal in the church. It seems to be true. I wonder how much the tickets for the last lecture will sell for..."

"Don't think about the money anymore. Hurry up and build the divine defense line as the professor said. Don't let Director Wyatt down!"

Hart untied the restraints for the teachers and students one by one. After regaining their freedom, they began to spontaneously build a divine defense line. Although they could not completely resist the evil spirits in this situation, they could share some of the pressure for Wyatt.

And this line of defense is enough to support them to exit the auditorium step by step, but the speed will not be very fast.

Wyatt was relieved to see that the teachers and students behind him were not scared.

Then he continued to look at the Patriarch who had completely transformed into a monster. He was now facing the red tree with his arms open.

The connection with "evolution" allows him to maintain his sanity and human form for a short period of time, but when the Son of God is fully born, the Patriarch will probably become a sinister creature like the Son of God's followers.

The Patriarch's head turned directly to the back, his smile was extremely crazy, and he looked at Wyatt as if he saw some delicious delicacy.

"Let you be the first food of the Son of God, Wyatt~ Hahahaha, how enviable!"

Wyatt smiled triumphantly, threw a simplified purification ritual at his feet, and walked towards the red tree despite the evil spirit.

"Okay, I want to see whether my old friend's child is a boy or a girl, and how much he weighs."

The evil-like patriarch made way for Wyatt and made a gentlemanly gesture of invitation.

He was completely insane and didn't even think about why Wyatt would volunteer to be food.

Wyatt walked up to the red tree. This time the evil spirit was very strange and did not disappoint him.

Wyatt placed his hand on the branch of the mangrove tree, and white lines spread from the palm of his hand and spread all over the mangrove tree.

The mark is made.
