Game of Thrones: Viserys the Three-Headed Dragon.
Chapter 50 Tyrosh
Chapter 50 Tyrosh
With the curse in his mind, Viserys didn't even watch the excitement of the merchant ship buying the "Port Safety Guarantee Agreement" from the Tyrosh fleet. During the short journey from Myr to Tyrosh, the merchant ship was extorted nearly 20,000 gold coins by three groups of people under different names.
Viserys traveled all over Myr's wealthy and powerful people, but the only fund he managed to borrow to restore his country was 5,000!
But no matter what, the three merchant ships loaded with cargo arrived in Tyrosh intact, and Grole would probably make a lot of money on this trip.
After the ship dropped anchor at the port, Viserys and his party were not in a hurry to disembark. He just stood on the deck and watched the sailors leave one by one as if nothing had happened.
When the sailors who were teasing Yosso passed by, Viserys was surprised. He couldn't help but step forward and call out to them: "Hey, are you missing two people? Where are they?"
"Sir, do you still remember us?" said a sailor who seemed to be hungover and his voice was heavily alcoholic.
"What you did that night was valiant," Viserys said. "I certainly remember it."
"Haha. Look, this adult said that what we did was Yingying." He couldn't say those elegant words.
Jorah, at Viserys's side, added: "A brave act."
"What a brave act!" cheered the sailors, who all looked half sober. "This word can be exchanged for ten glasses of beer in the pub!"
Someone said loudly to the person next to him: "I must say this word to the girl in Tyrosh when I am doing business."
Viserys pointed out the sailor who had spoken to him earlier and asked him directly: "Are you short of two men?"
"Well, sir," said the sailor, whose face was still excited by the strange word, "Graynose and Rottentooth, I think you mean them, are dead."
"Dead?" Viserys noticed that the sailors did not seem very sad when talking about the death of their companions.
"That's right, sir. We've had nothing to do these two days here, so we just drank and boasted about that heroic act!" he said, "Gray Nose fell into the wine barrel, and I said the wine tasted wrong, but they didn't believe me."
"So he fell into a barrel and died?" Viserys asked the drunken sailor before he could speak.
"That's right, my Lord."
"There's another one, Rotten Tooth Boy. Is that the right name?"
"You have a very good memory, sir."
".What about him?"
"We did not find him, sir. It was supposed that he fell overboard when he went to vomit," answered the sailor.
Someone retorted: "No, I guess he slipped when he went to pee. You're the only one who keeps saying he went to vomit."
They started quarrelling.
Viserys found it difficult to understand the thoughts of these drunken sailors, so he did not ask further questions.
Jorah stopped their quarrel and urged them to hurry up, otherwise they would not be able to catch up with their companions and get a good seat in the tavern.
The sailors got off the ship noisily.
Jorah and the others walked away and asked, "Do you find them strange, my lord?"
Viserys asked, "Is this how all the men on board view life and death, Ser Jorah?"
"Not all, my lord," Jorah said. "It's just that the ones you met are probably the ones who are used to seeing death."
"Jorah," Viserys thought with sudden realization. "They are frightened, aren't they?"
Jorah could not hide his surprise. "You have eyes that see into people's hearts, my lord."
"Is that so?" Viserys stopped discussing with Jorah.
[This is not insight into people's hearts, but empathy. ]
The sailors were terrified by the possibility of death at the hands of pirates at any time that night, while Viserys was terrified by the sudden death of the two sailors.
Viserys squeezed his leather-gloved hands, feeling the battleground where the two forces still clashed.
This curse originated from the sea, and the way he died was such that if he said he didn't associate it with the Drowned God, he would be lying to himself. Was this due to the contact with a large number of dragon bone products, an unexpected coincidence of a low-probability event, or was it a deliberate targeting?
Think carefully, I was crossing the sea, if I consider the worst possible scenario, is it possible that there were witnesses?
Viserys considered it carefully and decided to stay in Tyrosh until his magic completely eliminated the curse and then decide whether to continue sailing eastward.

Tyrosh is a city that is nothing like the stereotypical medieval seaside commercial city.
Instead, it looks like a huge fortress city.
The city is protected by a tall and thick wall and is located at the northeastern end of the Stepstones. Its inner walls are fused black dragonstone (obsidian).
Tyrosh is much larger than many of the large fortress cities in Westeros and has strong military strength.
Tyrosh once fought against the attacks of the Three Sisters Kingdoms with its own strength, but the war known as the "Border War" eventually dragged down the Three Sisters Kingdoms and caused them to fall apart.
Tyrosh was briefly captured during the Battle of the Ninepenny Kings, known to the Westerosi as the Fifth Blackfyre Rebellion, but when the Ninepenny Kings' power collapsed with the death of Maris Blackfyre, the last Blackfyre and the Lord Commander of the Golden Company, Tyrosh regained its independence.
Today, Tyrosh is still one of the strongest city-states in the Disputed Lands.
This is an extremely noisy and prosperous city. The locals like bright colors. They like to dye their hair and beards brightly and dress in an exaggerated and luxurious way. Their hats are very distinctive and can be considered one of the symbols of the city-state.
The port of Tyrosh Harbor is located at the Bloodshed TC. There is a river running through half of the city, so the most prosperous place is by the river. There are many shops, inns, brothels, and temples and shrines of different gods lined up on both sides of the river.
After Viserys and his party got off the ship, they naturally acted in the same way as they did in Myr. They first found an inn to rest and stay in as recommended by Grolai.
The inn is in a great location, right near the iconic Dionysus Fountain in the city of Tyrosh and very close to the upper reaches of the river where the rich live. It is very convenient for sightseeing or visiting powerful people.
After settling down in the inn and taking a short rest, Daenerys finally couldn't help herself, and while Ani was taking dirty clothes to the inn's laundry room, she asked Viserys her question: "Brother, what happened to your hand?"
Viserys had been hiding his right hand in a leather glove these days, never taking it off when eating or sleeping, and even stopped practicing swordsmanship. Even Dany could clearly realize that there seemed to be something wrong with his right hand.
When Viserys heard Daenerys asking, he simply told her: "You wonder why I wear a glove on my right hand? Because my right hand has a secret to hide, Dany."
Viserys's straightforward response to her that he had a secret to hide made Daenerys at a loss for words: "."
"Dany, let me tell you this." Viserys raised his right hand and told her seriously, "My right hand has a secret that I want to hide from others. Anyone can find it. But as long as I don't say it and others don't ask, this thing doesn't exist. Do you understand?"
"." Daenerys frowned. Viserys's words were strange, but when she thought about it carefully, it was surprisingly true. Then the girl soon found that her brother had avoided the topic with just two words. She remembered what her question was again, "But what happened to your hand?"
"You want to know the secret so much, huh?" Viserys raised his hands, pretending to be a monster's open mouth, with a sly smile on his face. "Dany, do you know that girls who like to explore secrets will be eaten by dragons?" Then he pounced on her playfully.
"Ah!" Dany screamed and ran away, laughing and shouting playfully, "The dragon is eating people, the dragon is eating people!"
When Ani returned to the room, they had already run around the room several times, chasing each other.
Until the end, Daenerys didn't know what happened to Viserys's right hand.
Tyrosh is a commercial city, and merchants are considered to be more honorable than warriors. The ruler of Tyrosh is called the "Great Lord", who is elected by local wealthy merchants and dignitaries.
The election of the Archon is usually rife with threats and bribes - something the Tyroshi consider justified: how could a candidate who could not bribe a vote be qualified to rule their city?
With Myr's experience in submitting the visiting card, Viserys had originally arranged all the matters of submitting the visiting card to Jorah, but considering the special geographical location of the city of Tyrosh - it is very close to Dorne, separated only by a strait full of broken islands, and between Tyrosh and Dorne is the Stepstone Islands.
Legend has it that the Stepstones were once part of the Arm of Dorne, connecting Westeros and Essos. When the First Men invaded Westeros from the land bridge, the Greenseers among the Children of the Forest used powerful magic to break the Arm of Dorne, forming the Stepstones.
Therefore, Viserys felt it necessary to personally pay a visit and show proper respect. Although Tyrosh was an independent free trade city-state, its main trading partner was undoubtedly Westeros, or it would not be an exaggeration to say that it was Dorne.
If he could meet the Lord of Tyrosh, it might bring unexpected benefits to Viserys. Even if the other party kept a distance from Viserys like the Lord Governor of Myr, the opportunity to meet him would be very useful to Viserys.
Because communicating privately with a great lord often meant that the content of the conversation was difficult to be eavesdropped on and not easily leaked. And no matter what they said in private, how would they tell Illyrio, Jorah and others around them after they came out? It all depended on Viserys.
Didn't Illyrio get unable to wait for the signal from across the sea?
Why didn't the Dornishmen follow their plan?
Once Viserys had met with the Lord of Tyrosh, he would be able to explain it however he pleased.
