The two industries of aviation and railways have paid a lot of tuition fees and gone through many detours in the main world of Dongda. At the beginning, the prices of many imported technical accessories for high-speed rail were basically sky-high. After 2000, a simple fastener was sold for more than 300 yuan in Dongda's local currency and still made a profit, but importing it required more than 100 euros, which is almost 1000 local currency, which means it is at least two or three times more expensive.

In the 80s, the main world imported 150 8K electric locomotives (8-axle thyristor electric locomotives), and each locomotive head cost 200 million US dollars. That was in the 80s. According to the locomotive heads we produced ourselves, it was almost 100 million. You have to know that at that time, our GDP per capita was only more than 1100 yuan, and the total import volume was 432 billion US dollars a year. 3 million US dollars was already a big deal for a single contract. The price we paid was not small.

In the world of Bright Sword, with foresighted technology leaders like Ren Zhong, it is impossible to fall into the same pit twice. Now in the two industry fields of aviation and railways, Ren Zhong has introduced the Spey engine, BAC1-11 passenger aircraft and E5 dog-head diesel locomotive from the main world respectively. It can be said that the foundation of aviation and railways has been laid in advance. Even without the cooperation of foreign companies, there is a very strong starting point on these two foundations.

What's more, the development of Dongda's domestic aviation and railway markets is now among the strongest in the world.

Relying on such conditions, whether the European powers cooperate or not cannot block the path of Tokyo University's progress. At most, it will take longer to complete the research.

Of course, if the two sides can cooperate deeply, it will be a win-win situation for both sides, and what will be weakened is only the relative strength of the Rogue Eagle.

For the European continent that has stood up from the ruins, they would actually prefer to see such a situation. In addition to the two poles, there is a third and fourth pole. With the balance of multiple forces, everyone's interests can be better guaranteed.

Under Ren Zhong's suggestion, most of the current specifications of Dongda's railway network are built in accordance with the 120 km/h standard roadbed in the main world. In terms of slope, curvature and roadbed strength, the difference between a 120 km/h railway and a 160 km/h railway is not too big. Therefore, in the construction of a 160 km/h rapid railway in the Dongda Plain area, the changes to the existing road network are relatively small, and this requirement can be met by reinforcement at a relatively low cost.

However, the load-bearing capacity, slope and curvature of the high-speed railway must all be recalculated, and considering the current stage of technological development, the 200 km/h high-speed railway must be compatible with the future 250 km/h railway, so the construction standards of the two in terms of roadbed are similar. This part of the task can directly transfer the performance index requirements of the high-speed railway network construction in the main world, reducing the investment and time in road network research in the world of Bright Sword.

But this is not an easy task. After all, the technical routes of high-speed railways are basically all electrified. For the current railways that have no electrification construction, the next huge change is to build a complete system of electrified railways.

At present, the domestic railways of Dongda University all use two technical routes: diesel locomotives and steam locomotives. There is no need to lay electrified power transmission and transformation lines along the railway. In terms of initial construction, this is naturally much more convenient and reduces costs a lot.

Such railways are more than adequate for steam and diesel locomotives.

However, these railways cannot meet the needs of future electrified high-speed railways. Therefore, for high-speed railways, the future electrification transformation of the road network is a huge supporting project. It is not just the layout of the railways, but also the layout support of the power grid must be considered in the future. Moreover, the operation and maintenance of the electrified railway network is different from that of ordinary railway networks with steam locomotives and diesel locomotives.

Which sections of high-speed railways need to be renovated in the future, what specifications they need to be renovated according to, the power grid support system, and the operation and maintenance of electrified railways are all topics that require practical research.

In this regard, Ren Zhong can provide a ready-made railway layout roadmap for the main world, but it is difficult to explain why it is designed in this way, and its adaptability to changes in the situation in the world of Bright Sword.

After all, this involves many technical issues. First of all, in terms of route design, the population density and the center of economic development in the world of Bright Sword are very different from those in the main world. Dynamic research is required on the turnover of freight and passenger logistics, future development trends, etc.

From now on, the economic development of the world of Liangjian is very different from that of the main world in the same historical time and space.

The industrial and energy development in Jinsui is very fast, and there is a strong demand for heavy-load railways such as the Zhengtai Line and Tongpu Line. Even if the conditions for railway construction are poor, they must be built into heavy-load freight railway lines with a capacity of 10,000 tons to provide transportation infrastructure support for the development of Jinsui.

Another key direction is the Beijing-Fengtian Line and the Beijing-Harbin Line. Here is the largest industrial cluster in the East, and the demand for freight is also huge. Moreover, the world's East is not facing the urgent need for the construction of the Third Front, and the industrial base developed first in the north will not change much.

However, Ren Zhong is very clear that with the development of the times, based on climate change and the convenience of foreign trade transportation, the economic development of Southeast University will still move south in the future, and the densely populated and economically intensive areas will basically be in the eastern coastal areas.

The Beijing-Shanghai Line, Beijing-Guangzhou Line, Longhai Line, and Shanghai-Hankou Line are the trunk lines that will have the largest transportation capacity in the future.

It's just that it hasn't been fully revealed yet. It is visible to the naked eye that the industrial base of Southeast University is mostly in the northern region. It is quite difficult to prove this theoretically. After all, the times have changed over the past few decades, and it is difficult for ordinary people to see that far.

Therefore, in these aspects, Ren Zhong cannot proceed with the operations based on the current plans. The high-speed railway trunk lines and heavy-load railway trunk lines must wait until Ren Zhong confirms them before they can be started.

In these aspects, Ren Zhong must be more arbitrary and domineering. According to Ren Zhong's idea, the real trunk lines with large traffic flows should be designed as high-speed railways in order to meet the needs of large-scale personnel and material flows in the country in the future.

In this way, in terms of railway construction, even if there are no conditions now to build such a high-standard high-speed railway network, aspects such as land acquisition, route stations, bridge and tunnel construction must be reserved in accordance with high-standard high-speed railway routes, at least to support the land reserve needs for future construction of double lines.

After all, it is too difficult to improve these things later, especially demolition and resettlement. People now like to build along the railway line. The longer the time, the more residents will gather on both sides of the railway in the future.

If we plan ahead and deal with the required land space before the climate is formed, it will not increase the cost much at present, and the overall cost in the future will be much less than tearing down and starting over. The current land acquisition cost is much cheaper than in the main world, and the wages of workers are also relatively low, so the cost of increasing and strengthening the general bridge, tunnel and roadbed construction is actually not much.

In the future, on this basis, through double-track construction, electrification transformation, replacement of rails and further strengthening of roadbed, we will basically be able to meet the needs of high-speed railway construction with a speed of 200 to 250 kilometers per hour. For Ren Zhong, this is the most ideal planning state. Through overall planning, we will gradually evolve into the real high-speed rail era with the lowest cost.

In order to be more persuasive on the technical level, Ren Zhong established a population forecasting model and an economic forecasting model. After using some historical data from the main world for regression, he conducted population forecasts and economic forecasts for provincial regions. Although this still needs further improvement from a technical point of view, relying on the regression data set, Ren Zhong's model has almost 80% accuracy in predicting future development trends.

Even though history has been somewhat changed in the world of Sword of Legends, the great economic laws cannot be violated. The climate conditions, production conditions and convenience of foreign exchanges in the south are incomparable to those in the north. In addition, the research institutes with important responsibilities are now beginning to disperse and move southward, and the branch research institutes in the south and southwest have begun to be compared with those in the north.

In addition, in terms of education, relying on the heavy development plan of 500 key universities, 2 general universities and 3 vocational and technical colleges, each provincial region will basically build at least one key university, 5-6 general universities and 1500-1000 vocational and technical colleges for every million people, to ensure that among the million newborns in the future, at least million will be high-quality people with higher education.

This is the only way to support the high-quality development plan of the entire Southeast University in the future.

Of course, this grand plan cannot be accomplished all at once. The education plan will be divided into 6 to 8 five-year plans and implemented in stages.

Starting from these indicators, we simulated and calculated the future development. According to the adjusted model, in the future, the population and economy of the southeast and southwest will basically occupy most of the East, at least more than 60%, while the land area will be less than 30%. In particular, it is predicted that the ten provinces and regions with the most developed economies will account for 10% of the East's area, but their population and economy will each account for more than 50% of the East!

Obviously, the economic and population distribution in various regions will be extremely unbalanced in the future.

Therefore, considering the coverage and complementary relationship between the road network and the railway network, the planned inter-city 200 km/h railway line will undoubtedly be first realized in these economically developed regions.

In this regard, based on the experience of the main world and simulation results with considerable bias, Ren Zhong was the first in the Liangjian world to propose the concept of local high-speed intercity railway networks such as the Pearl River Delta Intercity Circle, the Yangtze River Delta Intercity Circle, the Qilu Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Intercity Circle, the Chengdu-Chongqing Intercity Circle, and the Northeast Intercity Circle.

Of course, when this idea was put forward, it immediately caused an uproar like a huge rock dropped into the water.

This goal now seems too ambitious, as it involves the construction of tens of thousands of kilometers of high-speed railways.

For the current world of Bright Sword, these are incredible things.

Even the most developed countries today dare not imagine how wonderful it would be if all countries were connected by high-speed railways.

If there is an opportunity to achieve this, everyone will give priority to the western region of the European continent, where the economic development and population and transportation conditions give them strength and internal driving force.

"President Ren's idea is amazing. According to his vision, we will build 5 kilometers of high-speed railways in the future. According to the current investment, the cost of building each kilometer of high-speed railways is more than 200 million, which is more than three times higher than ordinary railways. The total cost is as high as 3 billion! And our total fiscal revenue has only exceeded 1000 billion in just a few years. Such a huge investment is unimaginable for Dongda?" Some experts directly denied the feasibility of Ren Zhong's idea from the perspective of construction costs.

"Our current railway transportation of 80 to 120 kilometers per hour is already very strong, and it is also a very advanced railway network in the world. There is no need to build any high-speed railway from scratch. A few hours more or less does not mean much to everyone. Carrying out high-speed railway construction is suspected of duplication of construction." Some people directly expressed their disagreement.

"Safety, faster speed means it is more difficult to control. A railway running at 200 kilometers per hour is simply unimaginable for current railway safety facilities. There is no ability to guarantee basic safety."

There are endless suggestions and opinions from everyone, but the most common opinion is that most people are not optimistic about the high-speed rail and line plan.

Public opinion was so fierce that even Staff Officer Ye had to come to Ren Zhong for advice.

"Brother Ren, there is a lot of backlash against the current railway plan. How can we make adjustments in this regard to convince everyone? We need a reasonable reason."

Staff Officer Ye said with a wry smile.

"Our railway planning is divided into three types: main lines, intercity lines and branch lines. The main lines will open up long-distance connections between different urban agglomerations. In the future, we will develop high-speed express lines with a speed of 250 to 350 kilometers per hour. The intercity lines between urban agglomerations will mainly be connected by routes with a speed of 200 kilometers per hour. The goal is to meet intercity transportation needs within an hour!" Ren Zhong explained.

"The economic development prospects of the city clusters I proposed in the future are beyond doubt. If we do not make overall plans in advance for these areas, we will suffer great losses in future development."

"In addition to railways, road network planning should also be put on the agenda, especially major highway routes. We should also form a complementary relationship with railways."

In this regard, Ren Zhong did not ask people of this era to immediately accept his point of view.

I just hope that in terms of planning, the railway plans between these urban agglomerations can be confirmed, with routes and related land reserved to draw a red line for future intercity railway construction.

"Brother Ren, what you said makes sense. If possible, we should plan ahead and do the work in advance." Staff Officer Ye nodded and said. He understood what Ren Zhong meant. It was not that they could build it now so that they could make money, but that they could use this incident to gain benefits.

Staff Officer Ye was very supportive of Ren Zhong in this regard. After Ren Zhong drew the planned route, he immediately organized an expert group to survey the actual land and draw red lines. Now the land is allocated according to a coordinated plan, and there is no need to talk about compensation for demolition. The land along the railway will only be readjusted to ensure that the affected villagers can be collectively redistributed.
