The Queen of Scrolls never admits defeat

Chapter 943 Leaf Flute Performance

After listening to Grandma Mathil's explanation, Moran suddenly realized that the reason he had gained so much was not because of "natural perception" at all, but because of the legendary "natural resonance"!
This continued for several months, and the plants in Emerald Forest became lush and verdant, greatly benefiting the elves in the tribe.

In the inherited memories, there are indeed only a few simple sentences about "natural resonance," and the Tree Spirit Mother did not elaborate much in the dream.

If Grandma Mathil hadn't told her, she would never have imagined that she had entered a state of "natural resonance".

"No wonder I feel so good about it, my physical and mental strength have improved so much..." Moran muttered to herself.

However, on the other hand, the witch's all-elemental magical talent has no upper limit, and her affinity with any type of magical energy, including the power of nature, is extremely high, which perfectly meets the conditions for triggering "natural resonance".

Moran felt a sense of unease. The "Natural Resonance" state was a rare opportunity for every superhuman who needed the power of nature, but it also carried the risk of mental disorientation and physical senescence.

Just like this time, if the Tree Spirit Mother hadn't noticed and awakened her in time, the consequences of prolonged resonance leading to her body becoming "wooden" would have been unimaginable.

"I must pay more attention to time and my physical condition when engaging in nature perception in the future!"

She silently warned herself, "I won't always be so lucky to have a tree spirit mother watching over me."

Having figured this out, she had a deeper understanding of Grandma Mathil's previous concerns. The patriarch wasn't trying to restrict her, but rather protecting her in her own way.

Moran glided gracefully down the smooth wooden slide beside the platform to the tree, her feet landing firmly on the soft moss. Polly, Celine, and Dominic, who had been waiting below, immediately surrounded her, their faces showing a mixture of worry, excitement, and relief.

"Moran! I'm so glad you're alright!" Polly was the first to rush over, circling Moran like a lively little deer, her eyes full of surprise. "Wow! You've grown so much! You're almost up to my thigh now!" she gestured with her hands, her tone very exaggerated.

Celine leaned closer and said, "We were so worried about you. Everyone said you entered a state of natural resonance, but it lasted for several months. Luckily, the Tree Spirit was there to look after you... However, thanks to the natural resonance you triggered, the natural energy in the entire Emerald Forest has been exceptionally active during this time. Polly and I felt that our cultivation was going very smoothly, and we both successfully advanced a few days ago, officially becoming Level 1 Druids!"

"Me too! Me too!" Dominic patted his chest defiantly, his chestnut hair bouncing in the sunlight. "I've also advanced to a Level 1 Ranger! Now all I need to do is digest the newly unlocked inherited memories and learn a few Level 1 Ranger spells, and I'll be a true Level 1 professional!"

His tone was full of pride, and his gaze toward Moran carried a hint of gratitude.

"I'm sorry to have worried you." Moran smiled a little sheepishly, then expressed her happiness for them, "Congratulations! You've all advanced! That's fantastic!"

“What’s there to congratulate? You’re nowhere near as good as me! You’re a genius who triggered a natural resonance! You must have gained a lot, right? Don’t you feel like you’ve become a lot more capable?” Polly asked her.

“Of course!” Moran said proudly, “I’ve just officially become a Druid! Next, I plan to complete the initiation ceremonies for Ranger and Bard. I need to try them all to know which profession suits me best!”

"Wow, that's great!"

"I knew it!"

Congratulations, Moran!

The three friends immediately offered their sincere blessings. "To celebrate Moran's safe exit from seclusion, and that we've all advanced!" Polly clapped her hands excitedly and jumped up. "Let's find a place for a picnic! I'll bring my homemade raspberry jam! It smells so good!"

"Great!" The suggestion was immediately approved by everyone.

“Let’s go to that mossy patch where we watched the forest spirit dance last time. Lots of the mushrooms there are edible, and I can make mushroom soup for everyone!” Celine chimed in.

"Then I'll go to my secret base and dig up a jar of my homemade milk fruit wine!" Dominic waved his little hand, looking like he was generously sharing a treasure. "I've been hiding it for a year, it'll be perfect to drink now!"

"Milk wine!" Polly and Celine exclaimed in surprise. This was the only alcoholic beverage that underage elves could drink. It was very refreshing, and no elf disliked it.

Moran thought for a moment, then smiled and said, "Then I'll go pick some fresh crepe leaves! You can be my audience and help me complete my inauguration ceremony as a bard."

She plans to play a simple tune on a leaf to complete the performance required for her inauguration.

With the plan set, the four little elves immediately split up and acted with great efficiency.

Polly ran home to get her beloved raspberry jam and prepare her picnic blanket; Celine went back to get the pot and seasonings for her mushroom soup; Dominic refused to be followed by anyone and went alone to his "secret base" to dig up his treasured liqueur.

Moran then climbed up the largest curly tree in the tribe and carefully selected several perfectly shaped, resilient, emerald green curly leaves.

Soon, they met up in the mossy ground.

Polly spread out a soft picnic mat and laid out glistening raspberry jam; Celine arranged the washed berries and nuts neatly; Dominic proudly presented a small wooden barrel sealed with broad leaves, inside which was a milk liqueur exuding a faint aroma of milk and fruit; Moran, holding her carefully selected curled leaves, took a deep breath and, under the expectant gazes of her friends, walked to a small, slightly open patch of moss.

"I'm about to start."

Under the expectant gazes of the three, Moran held a curled leaf to her lips, closed her eyes, concentrated, and then gently blew on it.

Because it had to be an original piece, she thought about what she "saw" when she experienced natural resonance, and played it as she pleased.

Anyway, the sound of a curled leaf is already great when blown, and it won't sound bad even if you play it casually.

Gradually, it actually stirred up the natural forces in the environment, sometimes making people feel the warmth of the sun, and sometimes making people feel as if the fragrance of grass and trees was lingering around their noses.

Polly and Celine swayed gently to the rhythm without even realizing it, and even Dominic quieted down and listened attentively.

As the last note faded into the air, Moran put down the leaf and looked at her friends with some nervousness.

This was her first time performing in front of an audience. (End of Chapter)
