The Queen of Scrolls never admits defeat

Chapter 965 The Place of Fusion

Moran had seen in the memories of a slave hunter mage that the Starlight Academy in Quellariel was the place with the best chance of accessing the most cutting-edge arcane knowledge of the Star Elves.

That was her initial goal.

"You want to apply for a position as a tutor in the advanced department?" Tobias asked her enthusiastically.

Moran nodded.

She has already collected the low-to-mid-level inheritances of most mainstream professions, but she is still lacking in the high-level inheritances of some professions. Being a mentor will definitely make it easier for her to acquire this knowledge than being a student.

"That's a really wise choice!" Tobias said.

"The students in the advanced division of Starshine Magic Academy are all intermediate-level professionals."

Mentors must be at least level 15 or higher high-level professionals, and for some popular professions, the requirements may be even higher.

If you offer a Druid or Ranger-related career course, I'll be the first to sign up!
The nature magic of other races' druids and the Rangers' religion just doesn't feel right.

By the way, what main class did you choose? It should be high-level by now, right?

Moran nodded: "They're already level 16."

"Then you'll definitely get the job, wait... both?" Tobias carefully organized his thoughts: "You mean, the Druid and the Ranger are both level 16? How old are you?!"

"Yes." Moran didn't hide anything: "To pursue the glory of the High Elves and complete the bloodline atonement ritual, one needs to understand and master the core power essence of each branch of the elves. It's only right to take on multiple related professions, isn't it?"

Tobias opened his mouth, but for a moment he didn't know how to respond.

He paused for a few seconds before muttering in a dry voice, "That...that's true...but...but it doesn't require you to reach a high level in every branch of the profession! You haven't even started reverting to your ancestral form yet..."

He's only barely reached the mid-level of his profession, the Radiant Priest, while Moran looks much younger than him. Perhaps it's just that she looks younger?

Tobias's hope was rekindled: "How old are you?"

“One hundred and one,” Moran replied.

"!!!" Tobias was even more desperate: "You've only just come of age? You nature elves hide in the forest and don't come out, are you actually buried in your cultivation?"

"Hmm..." Moran thought of the elves in the Tian Tian tribe: "Probably..."

For nature spirits, interacting with plants and animals is a form of spiritual practice, isn't it?
Tobias looked at Moran with admiration and curiosity, as if he were seeing a nature spirit for the first time.

He realized that he might have really "found a treasure".

"Ahem," Tobias cleared his throat, trying to make his voice sound calmer, "Well, it was my... lack of experience. With your dual-profession high-level strength, you are more than qualified to be a tutor in the advanced department of Starshine Academy, and you could even say you are better than expected."

While there are professors in the academy who teach multiple disciplines, it's rare to find someone as accomplished as you in both areas.

The more outstanding Moran became, the more Tobias wanted to recruit him into the association: "Come on, come on, we're almost there!"

Moran followed him to a tower with an elegant design and unique style.

The main structure of the tower adopts the silver-gray and light purple tones favored by the Starry Sky Elves, with simple and smooth lines.

The exterior walls are covered with climbing vines reminiscent of nature's spirits. At the building's entrance stand two stone pillars. One pillar is topped with a small, constant sphere of light, emitting a warm, non-glaring sunlight-like glow, while the other pillar is shrouded in a deep, slowly shifting curtain of shadow.

With its architectural style incorporating elements of Star Elves, Nature Elves, Sun Elves, and Shadow Elves, Moran knew immediately: "This must be the Old Ones Seekers Association you mentioned."

“That’s right! We usually call it a place of convergence. Look at this—”

Tobias raised his hand, holding a small metal emblem in his palm.

The coat of arms is circular in shape and made of a material that resembles silver but is not silver. Its surface is finely etched with abstract patterns of stars, buds, rays of light, and shadows.

"This is the association's emblem, and it's also the key to entering this place."

As Tobias explained, he gently pressed the coat of arms into an inconspicuous dent in the smooth wooden door.

The moment the emblem touched the door, the circular pattern glowed with a soft light. Then, an extremely complex and fleeting phantom of a composite magic circle appeared on the surface of the wooden door, and then the wooden door silently slid open.

The first thing you see is a spacious interior atrium that extends upwards.

The atrium has an extremely high ceiling, above which one can see the tower's tiered corridors. The dome is made of magical crystals in four colors: black, white, purple, and green.

In the center is a small indoor spring pool with crystal-clear water where a few fish swim leisurely. Beside the pool is a flower bed with a few low-level magical plants growing sparsely.

Surrounding the pool and flowerbeds are several sets of simply designed silver-gray chairs. Along one wall stands a tall bookshelf, crammed with heavy books and scrolls, and next to the bookshelf is a device for projecting complex three-dimensional magic models.

On the other side, an area is cleverly illuminated by refracted light, forming a warm and bright "sunlight corner" where cushioned lounge chairs and small tables are placed.

Behind the pillars of the atrium, in a relatively dimly lit area, dark carpets were laid out and decorated with some thin, misty curtains.

There were already eight or nine people scattered throughout the courtyard.

When Moran and Tobias walked in, almost all eyes turned to them.

Tobias straightened his back, a smile of excitement on his face, and announced loudly, "Everyone! Please allow me to introduce my fellow nature spirit from the Emerald Forest. We finally have a nature spirit companion!"

After he finished speaking, there was a brief silence.

Then, the elderly, white-haired, sprightly sun elf sitting in the "Sunlight Corner" was the first to put down his teacup and come over. His smile was kind, and the wrinkles at the corners of his eyes seemed to gather sunlight.

"Welcome, child. I am Alfred. The voice of nature has been absent here for far too long."

Immediately afterwards, the star elf standing beside the bookshelf, dressed in a dark blue robe with silver trim, exuding a calm and serious demeanor, nodded slightly: "I am Celestian, the founder of the association. On behalf of all members of 'The Place of Convergence,' I welcome you to join us!"

The shadow elf, leaning against a corner pillar and wiping her dark dagger, silently approached a few steps. She was agile, her movements barely making a sound, and succinctly introduced herself: "Viola."

After the three high-ranking elves introduced themselves, the remaining six mid-ranking members also greeted Moran.

The entire association consists of five Star Spirits, three Shadow Spirits, and two Corona Spirits.

Moran then realized that she was the first nature spirit to join them: "Hello, I am Moran." (End of Chapter)
