Chapter 69: The Lost Team
Well, I said it, but it’s almost the same as not saying it.

Now the odds between Ron's team and the water giant are 30-70 - the giant hits him with three punches and he gets seven - not to mention chasing into the giant's hometown to look for gems.

But this was a useful piece of information. Ron and his companions bid farewell to this loyal fishman with gratitude and respect and returned to the black dragon's lair.

"How is it, have you seen that creature?" Axuri was guarding the shore, looking at them curiously.

"Yes," Ron said as he was getting dressed. "Your teacher is right. You'd better stay away from him."

"why?"

"That's a paladin."

Ron's answer was concise and to the point, but it dispelled all of the black dragon's doubts.

What else is there to ask? Black dragons are born evil, and Devin Booker did his best not to jump out and slash the cub with two swords during that encounter. As for Exuri's conversion to Bahamut, Devin Booker could probably only know this information when he released the dead and talked to them - if he knew how to do it.

If I tell others that there is a holy warrior living under the black dragon's lair, who would believe it?
"In addition, we also know the whereabouts of one of the remaining six gems - in the elemental plane."

"Then I'll just find five." Ike dejectedly stretched out his claws to pick at the lightning gem on Ivy's shield - fortunately Driver was watching him on the shore, otherwise the young dragon might really have taken the gem!

"Besides this, do you have any other clues?" Ron continued to ask with the principle of "since we are already here", after all, Black Dragon is very close to the crime scene of that year, so it would be easy to find any traces.

"No," the black dragon shook his head. "I am too young to leave the nest too far. Perhaps you should ask other creatures nearby. Although the Delusion Land has never been truly occupied by humans, it is a vibrant land with many creatures living here."

"We will of course visit each of them one by one," Ron nodded. "Anyway, thank you very much for your help."

"If you need anything, you can come to us, or let You pass on a message - can you remove some of the restrictions on it? It's quite scary when electric sparks suddenly burst out while you're talking to it."

Ron almost thought that the will-o'-the-wisp was a suicide bomb!

"Of course," Aiksuri nodded, stretched out his finger and tapped on You's skull. A somewhat illusory "click" sounded, "Okay, I have removed some of the daily restrictions, but it still won't resist me and will still follow my orders."

"I mainly want to chat and get to know the situation," Ron smiled. "As for subverting you or something like that, I'm not interested in that yet."

"Um, I'll come find you guys in a few days." After being released from his restraints, You kept swaying in the air as if he was drunk, and could hardly maintain his floating state. "Sorry, I... so many memories, I..."

"Then I won't bother you anymore." Ron said goodbye and left after seeing this. The bandwidth of this will-o'-the-wisp might be insufficient because it was suddenly downloading a large amount of memories from its previous life.

Anyway, it said it would come on its own in a few days.

Without You's guidance, the journey back for Ron and the other four was a little more difficult. Just as Aiksuri said, there were too many creatures in the forest, and in just a short period of time, the previous path was disrupted or destroyed.

After walking through the woods for three days, Ron and his friends finally got lost.

"I told you we should turn right under that tree!" Ivy and Driver had a heated argument. "Now we can't find the way!" "We've seen that tree six times, six times!" Driver refused to give in. "The 'road' you mentioned is what we made ourselves. When will you understand?"

"You noisy little jerk!"

"A big, brainless pig!"

"Well, what do you two think?" Ron calmly took two steps back and moved closer to Victoria and Sera.

"I've only been through jungles and swamps a few times in my life." Sera shrugged.

She is a good survivor in the vast snowfield, but not here.

"I have a poor sense of direction," Victoria said simply, "and now I'm already confused - shh, shut up!"

Victoria's sudden reminder caused the two people who were just attacking each other to instantly form a tacit understanding. The five of them quickly turned over and hid, staring at places outside their hiding place.

"chachachacha"

The noisy sound of footsteps stepping on fallen leaves and mud came from far away. From their hiding place, Ron and others could see that a team of about twenty people was walking towards them from a distance.

The opponents were almost all human, and judging from the emblems on their attire, they seemed to be from the same organization.

"A black swirl and a blue eye. Do you know her, Ivy? Victoria?" Driver had the best eyesight and could see clearly from a distance.

But Ron and Victoria covered his mouth: "Shut up!"

There are spellcasters in that team, and more than one!
Ron stared at those people with a frown. There seemed to be three spellcasters and six warriors. The middle-aged woman leading them was wearing gorgeous clothes, and it was hard to tell what kind of clothes they were wearing.

These people were escorting almost the same number of prisoners as themselves. Those people were only wearing a piece of cloth, and their hands and feet were tied with hemp ropes as thick as two fingers. Some of them were even put in metal shackles and handcuffs.

The swamps and jungles of the Delusion Land were difficult to walk in even with the best shoes, and being tied up barefoot was definitely not a pleasant experience. In fact, when they got closer, Ron could clearly see the blood and flesh on the prisoners' wrists and ankles.

If they continue like this and don't get treatment, these people will basically be doomed.

But now Ron was not acting as a pharmacist, but as the leader of a team, so he could only be patient and wait with his companions for the other party to pass by and leave.

In a glance, Ron could see a trace of sadness flashing in Ivy's emerald green eyes. As a former prisoner, she could easily empathize with these poor people.

But like Ron, as the strongest barrier in the team, she must not reveal any flaws and let her companions bear the consequences.

"Bakoyannis, how long will it take us to reach the trading post you mentioned?" A man who looked like a guard looked at the middle-aged woman in the lead. "Honestly, I don't understand. Did you really believe what the elf said? Do you think that a trading post would have slaves worth capturing?"
