Overlord: Start from the Goblin Lair.

Chapter 75 Possible Ambush?

Chapter 75 Possible Ambush?
When night fell, Ron and his companions, while hunting, had already set up camp far away from the camp of Dark Circles.

Sera, Driver and the newly joined Seymour are all good hunters, which really proves what Seymour said: as long as you have the skills, you will never starve to death in the woods.

"The soup is so delicious, and the meat is so good!" Sylvia ate so much that she almost turned into a ball. She lay in the clearing in the woods and burped comfortably. "I have never eaten so satisfied since I can remember!"

"Even during the previous escapes, we didn't dare to light a fire. How could we be so blatant?"

"Raw meat isn't that bad, you get used to it," Seymour said, holding up half a deer leg and laughing, "but who the hell wants to eat raw meat when there's good stuff!"

"Dhampir?" Driver tilted his head and looked at Sylvia.

In the goblins' opinion, this woman should not be taken on future adventures - her figure is not suitable for adventures, so it is better to keep her in the trading post.

She didn't look as strong as Ivy, and she had a breastplate to hold the excess fat.

"Meat, whether raw or cooked, has no effect on my recovery ability. But as far as my personal taste is concerned, I prefer cooked meat, especially boiled." Sylvia stared at the top of Driver's head with some dissatisfaction. This little guy had been glancing at her just now. What did he mean?

"Just add a little more salt," Sera frowned, scooped a spoonful of broth from the pot and tasted it, "It's a pity we didn't bring any salt with us."

They usually carry rations with them when they go out to reduce hunting time. Not to mention salt, even the pots are taken from the Black Eye Circle's camp.

"Hey, your life is much better than ours - I almost forgot the taste of salt!" laughed the mercenary who was captured in the battle with Carolina. "Every day, the soup is bland, but you get used to it after a while."

"I can't do that," Sera threw the spoon back into the pot in disgust, "If you don't give me more salt, I'd rather die than suffer this!"

"That will be very worrying for the slave owners in Carolina!"

I don't know who said it, but it made everyone laugh.

"We can go back at the latest in the early morning of the day after tomorrow," Victoria and Ron looked at the faint mark on the map, "have a good rest today, and march quickly and at night tomorrow. It's not a good idea to stay in the woods for too long."

Their route was indeed off track, but it wasn't too far off the track, and they were still just outside the area, making it much easier to move here than in the depths of the Delusion Land.

Ron passed the news to others, and they all agreed. They were used to living a hard life, so what would it matter if they had to work harder for one more day?
In the following day, in the morning, Sylvia and Seymour followed Ron and his friends like two students, listening to them impart knowledge about this land and experience of survival in it; and in the afternoon, Sylvia taught Ron the knowledge of magic and arcane. After all, she had studied systematically, and her understanding of these was much richer and deeper than that of Ron or even Lavinia.

"You learn so fast!"

Sylvia watched in amazement as Ron used a handful of deer hair left over from last night to release a silent phantom in the woods, and then watched him use Charm Human on a person. The speed at which this human learned was simply outrageous!
Is it because of the spell book in his hand?
Sylvia calmly tried to explore the preface of the weaving method, but received no response. It seemed that this was indeed an extremely powerful magical item.

Now that the leader has such powerful equipment, his safety should be guaranteed, right?
Meanwhile, Ivy had found another bickering partner. Seymour, Driver and Ivy were arguing with each other, and the common language, human language, elven language and goblin language all came out one after another, like a symphony orchestra.

Occasionally, when Ron was pondering the principles of the spell, Sylvia would join the battle, which was even more amazing - this vampire spoke not audio but video. She knew many languages, and she kept making gestures, gesticulating at several people. It was almost impossible to surpass her in eloquence! "I won't bring these guys to my house," Sera complained to Victoria, covering her ears, "Their voices will definitely cause an avalanche!"

Victoria: ...Don't you know how loud your voice is? You're causing an avalanche.

Finally, when everyone pushed aside the bushes under the illumination of the dancing light technique and finally saw a building in the valley, they finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Trekking through the complex forest for a long time can indeed be mentally exhausting, but now, they have finally returned to the embrace of civilization!
Although there is only one trading post, it is a symbol, a spiritual sustenance, and an affirmation of the freedom of prisoners like Sylvia and Seymour!
"It's... great," Sylvia was so moved that tears were about to flow out, "We finally escaped!"

"I want to take a good bath, have a big meal, and then have a good sleep on the soft big bed!"

"You deserve it," Ivy chuckled. "Go ahead and have a great time tomorrow! Don't you agree, Ron?"

"Ron?"

Ivy looked at Ron, only to find that he seemed serious and looked ahead vigilantly, and Victoria had the same reaction as him.

"What happen to you guys?"

"Lights, do you see them?" Ron pointed at the faint light coming from the trading post, then pointed at the sky which was already beginning to turn white.

"It's almost daybreak when we get here. Who would leave a lamp on? Has he been up all night?"

"Maybe he's waiting for someone. Who is he waiting for?" Victoria added, "Could it be someone from Carolina City-State?"

"No way?" Seymour's heart was beating fast. "Can that woman run back and forth so quickly?"

"Or maybe Mindatis is planning to work together with the slave traders to catch us off guard?" Ron said in a low voice, "That grandson might really do that!"

"Everyone, pay attention and hide! Do you see that independent room carved out of the mountain over there? Go in from there, there's a secret passage behind it!"

Ron led everyone into Lavinia's alchemy workshop. Since the halfling was not there, they went directly into the mountain from the passage at the back, and then turned around to encircle the wooden structure in front.

However, with so many of them, it was impossible to be completely secretive. When they passed by a room, they happened to meet Bonnie coming out with a cup of water, looking sleepy. Both of them were immediately frightened.

"Ron! You're back!" After seeing who was coming, Bonnie breathed a sigh of relief. "Hurry up and go to the front. Someone has been waiting for you. He's almost eaten up all our food in the past two days!"
