How does low power consumption come about? It is achieved by reducing the leakage rate.

It is rumored that Intel, unable to make technological progress on the next generation process, which they call the 10-nanometer process, but wanting to maintain the continued increase in chip performance, has planned to go into a high-speed spin mode... by reducing the transistor density within the chip to reduce the leakage rate, thereby obtaining a higher clock speed and then a performance improvement.

This is actually going the opposite way in the development of chip technology...because if the chip transistor density is reduced while maintaining performance, the chip area needs to be made larger.

After all, the size of the wafer is fixed. Within the fixed area of ​​the silicon wafer, the difference in chip cost between producing 100 chips and producing 200 chips will be huge.

But for Intel, this is also a helpless move... Advanced technology has been slow to make breakthroughs, and if it wants to maintain the performance of chips, it can only rely on this high-speed model.

So when Intel's people saw that Zhiyun Semiconductor released the WZ6000 series chips, whose performance was even more powerful than their own newly released chips, the company's top executives were worried.

In addition to releasing the WZ6000 series chips, Zhiyun Semiconductor also released a number of other chip products.

Including X86 server CPU using nm process.

A new generation of APO chips with the same process and the APO4500 graphics card that uses this chip...an extremely powerful AI training card.
