Chapter 35 Base Destruction
General Stark came to Newton and asked: "What did you see?"

Newton's eyes were dull, and he mumbled incoherently: "The Kaiju Beasts are the vanguard of the invasion."

"Wake up!" Stark's face darkened, and he raised his hand and slapped Newton hard in the face.

Newton's head was turned away by the slap, but he seemed to wake up instantly.

He grabbed Stark's arm and said, "General, listen to me! Those Kaiju are not unknown creatures at all, but the advance troops sent by an interstellar colonial empire to invade the Earth!"

Newton swallowed hard and continued, "That empire has invaded countless planets. When a planet's resources are exhausted, they will abandon it and look for the next target. And now, the Earth is the fat meat they are eyeing!"

"You mean, those monsters from level one to level four are just scouts?" Stark's expression became more solemn.

Newton nodded: "Yes, the real army is still behind!"

At this moment, a piercing alarm suddenly sounded in the base. Warning lights flashed wildly, shrouding the entire hall in a strange red light.

Stark's pupils suddenly shrank, and his expression instantly became solemn: "It's the Kaiju invasion alarm!"

Before he finished speaking, he turned around, rushed out of the room with big strides, and walked quickly towards the command center. Seeing this, everyone hurriedly followed his footsteps and followed closely behind.

As soon as he entered the command center, Stark went straight to the main console.

At this time, a technician stared at the data that kept jumping on the screen with a serious face: "Report to the general, a new energy reaction has been detected! It is located in the center of the Pacific Ocean!"

"What is the specific situation?" General Stark asked in a deep voice, with a hint of urgency in his voice.

"There's something wrong with the data this time." The technician's fingers quickly tapped on the keyboard, "The size and energy of this monster far exceeds that of the previous monsters. It has almost reached the limit of a level 4 monster!"

Dr. Herman frowned in confusion and turned to the technician: "Are you sure there is only one monster? No other anomalies were detected?"

The technician explained: "We have only detected one energy signal at the moment."

"This is impossible!" Herman suddenly raised his voice, and the volume echoed in the command room. "According to my calculation model, this attack must be a double event, it can't be just one!"

Herman excitedly waved his cane and came to the screen, his eyes full of disbelief: "My model has never been wrong. It has accurately predicted the monster's attack pattern every time. This time will definitely not be an exception!"

At this moment, General Stark, who had been silent, raised his hand and interrupted the two.

"That's enough!" he shouted, his voice exploding in the command room, "Now is not the time to discuss this!"

He turned to face all the personnel and said firmly: "Call all pilots immediately, have them get ready, and head to their respective mechas!"

General Stark turned and looked at Uchiha Fugaku: "You come too."

Fugaku nodded slightly and followed Stark's steps.

The entire base instantly entered a wartime state. Alarms echoed in every corner, and red warning lights flashed continuously, making the corridors seem as if they were stained with blood.

The staff members had no time to talk, all of them looked solemn and hurried. They quickly shuttled between various positions and devoted themselves to their respective work.

There was a tense atmosphere in the air, and even breathing seemed to become heavy.

Soon, the two came to a suspended passage. This passage led directly to the cockpit of the mecha, and was the only way for the mecha hunters to attack.

The other fighters were already busy putting on their equipment. The sound of metal colliding could be heard one after another.

At this moment, Chak emerged from somewhere in the crowd. He pushed aside the people around him and walked straight to Uchiha Fugaku, with a provocative smile on his face. "Hey, outsider," Chak said frivolously, "This time's Kaiju is not the same as the last one. This is a genuine fourth-level Kaiju. Your little tricks are not enough to fill the gaps in your teeth. I will let people know who their real hero is."

Upon hearing this, Uchiha Fugaku just glanced at Chak indifferently, and then looked away again.

Many young men in the ninja world who have just entered the battlefield are like this. They are young and energetic and like to show off themselves, but when they really go to the battlefield, they are often the first to die.

Seeing this, Chuck's face flushed red. He clenched his fists, his eyes burning with anger, and he was obviously completely enraged by Fugaku's attitude.

At this moment, a tall, resolute-looking middle-aged man walked quickly out of the crowd. It was Heka.

He pulled Chuck away with a quick and decisive move, with an unquestionable majesty.

"Chuck, watch your words! Now is not the time for mischief."

When Chuck heard what Heka said, his expression changed instantly, but he still raised his head stubbornly and snorted in dissatisfaction.

Heka cast an apologetic glance at Uchiha Fugaku and said sincerely: "I'm sorry, this kid is just a little rude, please don't mind."

Then a friendly smile appeared on his face. "My name is Herk Hansen, and I'm one of the pilots of the Eureka Raider. Nice to meet you, Mr. Uchiha."

Uchiha Fugaku looked at the man in front of him and nodded.

At this moment, General Stark's loud voice suddenly echoed in the base.

"The monster is preparing to land at the city port. We need to intercept it before it lands and minimize casualties!"

Just as Stark gave the order, a technician nearby suddenly exclaimed: "General! The monster's movement speed has suddenly increased! Its signal is rapidly approaching the coastline!"

Before he finished speaking, there was another more urgent shout: "Wait! The signal has disappeared!"

"What?!" Stark's face changed instantly. He turned his head sharply to look at the technician, his eyes full of disbelief.

The technician stared at the screen, his fingers quickly tapping on the keyboard, his brows furrowed: "No energy response can be detected now!"

For a moment, the entire command room fell into an eerie silence. Everyone held their breath, with confusion and anxiety written all over their faces.

At this moment, the ground suddenly began to vibrate violently, as if an invisible giant hand was shaking the earth violently.

Everyone was unsteady on their feet, staggering here and there and grabbing objects around them, trying to steady themselves.

boom!
Suddenly there was a loud bang, and the ground of the base was instantly blown apart, with countless pieces of gravel and soil splashing into the air.

Then, a huge monster slowly rose from deep underground, forcibly pushing open the ground beneath its feet, like an unstoppable wall of flesh, blocking everyone's view.

Its huge body stretched upwards, seemingly endlessly. Finally, its huge head hit the ceiling heavily, and concrete debris fell like rain, hitting its hard shell with a crisp knocking sound.

Everyone looked up and gasped, their eyes filled with disbelief and horror.

It was actually a giant worm that was hundreds of meters long! Its body was made up of countless segments, each of which was covered with terrifying barbs, emitting a cold glow.

On the hideous insect head, there were dozens of pitch-black little eyes that kept rotating and emitting a disgusting green light.

"This is impossible!" General Stark's eyes widened, with cold sweat dripping down his forehead: "How could they know the location of the base?!"
