Chapter 253 At the Weasley House
Chapter 253 At the Weasley House
"It's Sirius!"
"He left suddenly and said he wanted to keep these children with us for a few days."
"That's what's causing us to lose time," Mr. Weasley said in what he obviously thought was a light-hearted and endearing tone.
"Yes, Harry." Mr. Weasley cleverly pushed Harry in front of Mrs. Weasley.
Harry was surprised to find that Mrs. Weasley seemed to be under a happy spell, and the evil look on her face suddenly turned into a glow of joy, "Harry! Poor child, look how thin he has become?"
"The last time we met, I was in a hurry to go home and didn't even have time to see you."
"Quickly, come to the room with me. I've already prepared dinner." At the end of her sentence, Mrs. Weasley gave Mr. Weasley a hard look.
After years of married life, even if Mr. Weasley stuck his butt out, she could guess why.
Everything that just happened was obviously an excuse.
But because Harry was here, she still didn't think much about it.
"Oh, why did Sirius leave like that?"
"I've got plenty of dinner ready." Mrs. Weasley said with a painful smile, walking briskly towards the hut.
"Hello, Harry, and Draco," Percy said, puffing out his chest. Even at dinner he was dressed neatly, his prefect's badge pinned to his knitted vest.
“Our brother couldn’t put it down since he got it.”
"Carry it with you at all times."
"Hello, Harry and Malfoy's little devil." Fred and George suddenly appeared.
But Harry didn't pay attention to all this, his stomach was already growling.
He looked towards the kitchen, which was small and rather crowded, with a cleanly wiped wooden table and a few chairs in the middle.
The clock on the wall had only one hand, no numbers, and on the clock face were words like "Make tea, feed the chickens, you're going to be late." On the mantel were three layers of books: "Enchanting Your Cheese," "The Magic of Baking Bread," "Creating a Feast," etc. - all magic books. There was also an old radio next to the sink.
It's really magical. This is the wizard's home?
Harry had never seen it. This made him even ignore the chicken that was still in the pot, the plate full of ham pies, the boiled potatoes that were sizzling with the lid on, and the bowl of salad that had not yet been squeezed with sauce.
"Mom, including that crazy elf, there are ten of us!"
"Is there room for sitting in the kitchen?" Fred and George asked respectively.
"We're eating in the yard. If you had eaten your lunch seriously today instead of thinking about how to make explosions in the house all day, you would have known what I told you!" Mrs. Weasley complained, pointing her wand at the bowl of salad, inserting it into the bowl and spinning it in circles.
As she stirred, a stream of creamy sauce spurted out from the tip of the wand.
Fred and George shrank.
At this moment, a little red-haired man in a blue robe ran into the kitchen, screamed, and ran out again.
"That's Ginny," Ron whispered to Harry. "My sister. She's been talking about you all summer."
"Didn't your sister already know this?" Draco said with a tasteful tone.
One thing he discovered was that after Harry arrived, almost everyone's attention was on him.
But I was only treated politely and distantly.
"Are you jealous? Because someone likes Harry?" Fred joked to Draco. Soon, with the help of Percy, the table was moved to the garden.
But Fred said that Percy would never do such a thing on a normal day, he just wanted people to pay attention to the medal on his chest.
This can be seen from the weird way he keeps sticking out his chest.
"Hey, you three, Percy has set the table. Ron, can't you give me a hand and take out the knives and forks. Fred and George, you also take these plates out." Mrs. Weasley suddenly appeared from behind them and said to her other three children.
"Harry, Draco, the two of you just go outside and wait for dinner."
"I'll have to fry some more sausages. You look so thin, poor Harry." Mrs. Weasley said to Harry lovingly again.
So they left Mrs. Weasley and went out the back door into the garden.
Percy and Ginny were already seated, and the tablecloth was laid out on their seats.
Percy still held his chest high, and when he took the knife and fork from Ron, he inadvertently waved his prefect's medal.
And Ginny kept looking at the table, and it seemed that the roots of her fiery red hair were turning red.
"Kreacher, come here, let's eat later." Harry could only turn his attention to Kreacher, who was silent at the side. He had a cynical air that was totally out of tune with the cheerful Weasley family.
"Kreacher has not fallen so low as to eat with his master!"
"If Harry Potter insists, old Kreacher can only pretend not to hear." Kreacher said to himself.
Harry had to retract his order in embarrassment.
Time soon came to dinner time, and the two tables were groaning from exhaustion under the weight of the delicious dishes prepared by Mrs. Weasley's masterful hands.
The seven Weasleys, Harry and Draco, sat down to eat under the clear, dark blue night sky.
For Harry, who had been hanging out outside all afternoon and had experienced several major stimulations, it felt like he was in heaven.
At first, Harry was too busy devouring his chicken, ham pie, boiled potatoes, and salad to talk.
At the other end of the table, Mrs. Weasley was still complaining about the day.
She 'accidentally' added a few more sausages to Harry's plate, glaring at Mr. Weasley from time to time and muttering something like, "I don't know what you think, flying a car halfway across the country - untested -"
"I can't believe it."
"If it weren't for Kreacher, I wouldn't be at ease." Kreacher turned his head and spat secretly.
"Do you think my skills are unreliable?" Mr. Weasley said angrily, but his attention was immediately diverted. Ginny accidentally hit the plate on the ground again. She got under the table to pick up the bowl and came out. His face was as red as the sunset.
"Ginny, would you like to sit here with daddy?" Mr. Weasley, who had no idea why Ginny was acting like this, invited Ginny who was sitting in the prime position opposite Harry.
"No." Ginny lowered her head and whispered. Harry had no choice but to pretend he didn't hear it, and Draco beside him let out a narrow laugh that only Harry could hear.
After dinner, Harry touched his stomach (Mrs. Weasley had given him four more servings), then trudged along with Ron and Draco through the narrow corridor and up the rickety stairs.
The stairs twist and turn, leading to the upper floors.
They climbed two more flights and came to a door with peeling paint and a small sign on it that read "Ron's Room".
Harry walked in, the sloping ceiling almost touching his head.
"The three of us will sleep here," Ron said nervously.
