Chapter 223 Myrtle Appears Suddenly
"Then why do you think so few ghosts would choose to become wizards?"

"Yeah, if it were me, I would definitely choose to be a ghost. There are so many delicious things in this world that I haven't tasted yet."

Harry and Ron were confused.

Nick smiled awkwardly, covered his mouth with his fist, embarrassed to stick out his tongue, and took a half step back smoothly while stroking his hair, performing a series of moves like a genius.

"I thought we were just as miserable as before. I just realized how nice it is to be a ghost now."

"I'm sure more wizards will choose this path instead of going down it in the future."

"Go on?" Ron was curious. "What does this mean? Where are we going? Is there really an afterlife?"

"Yes," Nick answered decisively, "but I don't know much about it."

"Because I didn't choose death, but I believe someone will understand."

"The learned men in the Department of Mysteries are studying this—"

He paused and looked at the strange wizard who was looking at the hotel not far away, "Okay, a guest has arrived. Let's talk next time."

After he finished speaking, his entire ghost turned into a wisp of green smoke and appeared beside the wizard.

"Ghosts also have to find jobs. What a world!" Ron snorted. "If I become a ghost in the future and my unfilial son dares not to support me, I will definitely learn from Myrtle and pester him all day long."

Harry mourned for Ron's descendants, who might or might not exist, for a moment, then said with a smile, "That's because they have a need to consume. Normally, ghosts don't need to eat or drink, and their clothes can be changed with the little magic that remains, so there's no need for money at all."

"I believe that relevant laws will be introduced in the future to govern the inheritance of a wizard's estate after he becomes a ghost."

“And the basis for the payment of pensions.”

"The Ghost Office will definitely be very busy in the future."

Ron nodded. "I can already imagine ghosts flying around everywhere in the future. The magic that prevents ghosts from entering the dormitory may be extended to every family, so that we can avoid the sudden cold feeling when squatting on the toilet."

The two of them walked towards Hogwarts while talking.

Harry corrected, "Not necessarily a cool feeling. Now that ghosts are no longer pearly white, they have the color of living people. Passing through their bodies might be like being run under a shower with warm water."

There were not many people on the way back to school. Since classes would start the next day, except for the sixth and seventh grade students who were still reviewing, most of the students in other grades planned to stay until dark before going back.

So Harry didn't lower his voice.

"Do you want to try it?" Myrtle's head suddenly did not come out of the ground.

Harry was startled when he realized that her hair was a brilliant golden color and the thick glasses were still there.

The gurgling sound when she spoke also came from the tank, not from herself.

The last time they had seen each other, he and Dumbledore had gone together to the Slytherin Chamber of Secrets in the girls' bathroom.

She also invited him to share the flush toilet with her after his death.

He was glad that it was Dumbledore who was with him instead of Ron.

but now.
"You two knew each other? When?" Ron realized belatedly.

Harry scratched his ear. "Didn't I tell you? I've been to Slytherin's Chamber of Secrets and Dumbledore."

"Baqir has been there, too."

"I just don't know?" Ron said word by word.

Myrtle spun around, sitting cross-legged in the air and waving, "And me too!"

Harry's eyes wandered, "I thought I told you."

"That happened during Christmas break in first year. You came back and you were busy showing off your experience in Romania."

"Then he was busy targeting Draco, mocking his father for being in Azkaban."

"I really can't find a chance to tell you anything else."

“And then I forgot about it.”

"So it's my fault?" Ron stamped his foot, turned his head and crossed his arms.

She looked like a little girl who had a fight with her boyfriend and needed to be coaxed.

"You can understand it that way." Harry replied stiffly, pretending to be indifferent and turning his head to look in another direction.

Myrtle, who was about to drop her little pearl because she was ignored, gradually became excited.

The heart of the rotten girl was ignited at this moment.

"You guys, you guys, keep going!"

Myrtle's presence made Ron, who was originally prepared to maintain the stalemate for a while, feel uncomfortable.

He seemed to feel as if a pair of obscene and dirty eyes passed through his clothes and swept over his whole body.

So he first broke the ice, "Where is the entrance to the secret room?"

Harry didn't answer, but looked at Myrtle and signaled with his eyes.

Ron's expression couldn't hold back. "In the girls' bathroom? Myrtle's?"

Harry nodded.

Hogwarts School was founded—the exact date is uncertain—over a thousand years ago by four of the greatest witches and wizards of the day.

Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazar Slytherin.

In that era, Muggles were afraid of magic, and young wizards who couldn't do magic and poor wizards and witches who had not received systematic education and could only cast a few spells suffered a lot of persecution.

So they built this castle together, away from the prying eyes of the Muggles.

After the initial honeymoon period of starting a business, a gap began to appear between Slytherin's teaching philosophy and that of the other three giants.

He wished Hogwarts were more selective in its admissions.

He believes that magical education should be limited to purely magical families.

And children born to Muggles are unreliable.

Some time later, Slytherin and Gryffindor had a huge argument over this issue, and Slytherin left the school.

But according to legend, Slytherin did not do nothing, but left a secret room in the castle.

It will remain sealed until his true heir arrives at the school.

Only that heir can open the Chamber of Secrets and release the horrors within, allowing it to purify the school and purge all those unworthy of studying magic.

Many people believe in this legend, and the school has investigated it many times over the past thousand years, inviting the most knowledgeable wizards and witches of the time.

But nothing was found.

Ron made a vomiting expression, "No wonder so many expert investigations have come up with nothing."

"I've always known Salazar Slytherin was a perverted old lunatic."

"But who could have imagined that Slytherin was so disgusting and vile that he would choose that place as the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets."

"The pure-blood nonsense actually originated from him."

"Even if you give me money for free, I won't go to his college."

"To be honest, if the Sorting Hat had put me in Slytherin, I would have taken the train home without saying a word!"

Harry shrugged, "You should be glad Draco isn't here."

Ron waved his hand. "I'd say the same thing if he were here. If he knew where the Chamber of Secrets was, I bet he'd ask to be transferred to Ravenclaw in a second."

"His lackeys Crabbe and Goyle will also be going to Hufflepuff."

"By the way, what is that thing in the Chamber of Secrets that destroys non-pure bloods? Many people believe it is some kind of monster that only the heir of Slytherin can control."

He looked at Myrtle, "Could she have died because of the monster in the Chamber of Secrets?"

"How did you find out?"

Harry stroked his chin, "You'll have to ask Myrtle about that."

"Myrtle?" Ron looked incredulous. "What's that expression!" Myrtle's body swelled up.

Although everything she said was guided by Bajir's confusion spell, she had long regarded it as her own discovery and achievement.

"I'm a Ravenclaw too! If no one paid attention to what I said, the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets would have been discovered long ago, and that big idiot Rubeus wouldn't have been used as a scapegoat and had his wand broken and was expelled."

"You can ask Harry if he discovered the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets with my guidance!"

"Hagrid is innocent!" Harry's pupils contracted as he suddenly remembered the forgotten thing.

Dumbledore was eavesdropping nearby at the time, so in the end he only emphasized to Dumbledore that the basilisk skin belonged to Basil.

Logically speaking, Hagrid should have been cleared of the charges.

"Myrtle, has anyone from the Ministry of Magic come to see you?"

Myrtle muttered, "No. But Hagrid is not innocent. He's had plenty of opportunities to ask me over the years. But he never came once."

Ron frowned. "Dumbledore didn't do anything?"

"Follow me." A hexagram magic circle flashed in Harry's eyes, and two beams of light enveloped Ron and Harry's bodies.

Myrtle was left behind. Am I left behind like this?

Students who saw the light column not far away, the light column? Was it an owl or a wizard who was driven out?

Hagrid, who was carrying a bow and arrow and wearing rubber shoes, was walking along the animal trail towards the wooden cabin, yawning. Oh my god, Merlin?

Two huge beams of light that clearly could not be owls appeared in front of him.

There is a vague outline of a person inside.

In addition to exiling people, can this beam of light also bring people in?
Poacher?
This thought flashed through his mind, and at the same time he had already drawn his bow and aimed his arrow at the taller figure.

"Stop!" The tall figure quickly made a French military salute and raised his hands, "I'm Ron!"

"Ron?" The bowstring in Hagrid's hand was already stretched to a full moon. He quickly changed direction and shot an arrow that pierced the ancient tree beside him and sank deeply into the rock and soil.

Points of light scattered, and Ron and Harry emerged from the light.

Ron's face was pale, and he stared at the arrow hole that was as thick as his waist.

If this shot hits him, he would probably die instantly and there would be no way to save him.

Hagrid was so frightened that he was shaking. "What are you two doing in the Forbidden Forest? You are killing yourself!"

Among the three, only Harry remained calm and composed. Even if the arrow had really been shot, he could have easily blocked it.

Whether to summon his own mother to block the bullet or to let the giant snake in the shadow take its place is just a matter of thought.

"Hagrid, we came to see you about something urgent."

"It's about you."

Seeing Harry so calm, Ron also calmed down inexplicably.

"Yes. It's about you."

"It's related to me?" Hagrid's black beetle-like eyes lit up. "Did your application for raising a dragon get approved?"

"Haha! This should have been done long ago!"

"After the existence of that tree, the little cuties in the Forbidden Forest have become much docile."

"Firenze and the others can even conjure food out of thin air. They haven't been hunting lately."

"Firenze? Who are they?" Ron forgot the main reason for coming here for a moment.

"They are centaurs."

"Centaurs?" Harry's curiosity was also aroused.

He did not enter the Forbidden Forest as in the original world line.

Therefore, our understanding of centaurs comes more from books.

Centaurs are magical creatures. Just as described in Greek mythology, their upper body is human-shaped, while their lower body is no different from a horse.

Does not use a wand, but is highly skilled in magical healing, divination, archery, and astronomy.

They have their own culture and are very proud of it.

In order not to share human identity with creatures such as hags and vampires, they actually asked the British Ministry of Magic to classify them as "beasts".

There was no trace of them in the Blind Pig Bar, which was found in almost all humanoids.

Hagrid saw Harry's curiosity and said, "I advise you not to get your expectations too high."

"Although they have good intentions, their words are always vague and confusing."

"Always looking up at the stars, how annoying. They're not interested in anything except what's around the moon."

Ron blurted out, "Isn't this Dumbledore who is obsessed with astronomy?"

Harry perked up instantly.

The last time someone insulted Dumbledore in front of Hagrid was his uncle.

Hagrid nearly strangled him, then took his rage out on the gun barrel, bending it.

Dudley probably grew a pig's tail because he was still angry.

But to Harry's surprise, Hagrid was not angry.

Instead, he winked amusedly, "Dumbledore is indeed very knowledgeable."

('It seems that Hagrid doesn't really hate centaurs,' Harry muttered.)
"In fact, I hope Dumbledore can learn more from them, have a bit of temper of his own, and let others know that he is not to be trifled with."

"And not a Rita Skeeter who dares to mock him as a crazy old lunatic!"

The veins on his hands were bulging as he seemed to be pinching the neck of the Rita Skeeter he was talking about.

"Rita Skeeter?" Ron frowned. "She used to be like that, but lately she's been speaking for Dumbledore."

"Aha!" Hagrid waved his fist. "Because she knows Dumbledore is not to be trifled with."

"He's the Minister of Magic now!"

"Rita Skeeter? Just a reporter."

"No," Ron shook his head, "It started even earlier. It seems to have started during the summer vacation."

"But it's no big deal."

"Almost forgot."

"What we want to ask is, can you use your wand openly now?"

"Magic wand?" Hagrid began to stammer. "Where do I get a wand?"

"In your umbrella," Ron added.

"You all know it!" Hagrid looked like a huge secret had been discovered.

Harry didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "Everyone knows it. But no one cares."

"Everyone knows you have a wand in your umbrella."

"Today's point is not this. The point is that last Christmas, Dumbledore and I discovered the murder weapon of Myrtle."

"There is evidence. You should have been allowed to use your wand in public a long time ago."

"Yes, that's it." Ron nodded, "No, Harry, you haven't told me who the real murderer is."

"Huh?" Harry wondered, "Didn't you know this a long time ago?"

"Voldemort as a student."

"Hagrid said that in front of us last year."
