Chapter 449: A dog bites Lu Dongbin, right?

Chapter 449: A dog bites Lu Dongbin, right?
its not right!
Uncle Lin said that the housing prices in Yanjing have increased, so wouldn’t the prices of the houses he bought have also increased?

Considering what Lin Erchun said, "I can save 30,000 or 40,000 yuan," doesn't it mean that the houses he owns have now increased in value by at least 30,000 or 40,000 yuan?

Adding the money he earned in the past two years, the total would be around 70,000 or 80,000, right?
This income is not low!

Tao Yucheng looked at Lin Erchun again and saw that the old comrade was drinking tea leisurely, looking at him with smiling eyes.

As if to say: The boy is still young!
Tao Yucheng suddenly felt what it meant to be cunning and treacherous.

As night falls, the sound of firecrackers welcoming the new and bidding farewell to the old farewell echoes in the night sky.

The children, their faces red from the cold, were happily setting off firecrackers, and their bright laughter echoed in the alley.

While eating the New Year's Eve dinner, Tao Yucheng asked Lin Chaoyang a very serious question.

"Chaoyang, do you think the housing prices in Yanjing can continue to rise?"

Lin Chaoyang certainly knew how his elder brother-in-law had just been fooled by his old father, so he answered seriously: "It is likely to rise."

"for……"

Tao Yucheng was about to ask more questions, but Zhao Li next to him said, "Why do you keep talking about these things during the New Year's Eve dinner?"

"If not this, what else can we talk about?"

As Tao Yucheng was talking, he saw his son Tao Xiwen excitedly shouting, "The Spring Festival Gala has begun!"

Last year, because the Chinese people had just experienced the two major events of the victory of the Los Angeles Olympics and the military parade, they naturally had greater expectations for the upcoming 85 Spring Festival Gala, which also brought great pressure to CCTV and the Spring Festival Gala director team.

Therefore, in order to present a grander scene and more shocking program effects, Spring Festival Gala director Huang Yihe decided to move the Spring Festival Gala studio to the Yanjing Workers' Stadium.

The original intention of this idea was certainly good, but the director team obviously overestimated CCTV's live broadcast equipment and on-site scheduling capabilities, and the 85 Spring Festival Gala ended up being a mess.

Thousands of audiences shivered in the severe cold for an entire night. The actors were so cold that they couldn't speak their lines, and the sound of sniffing was all over the microphone.

The huge stage was presented on the TV screen. The lighting was dim and the lighting effect was insufficient. The picture on the TV was all black, not to mention the sound effect.

A huge failure made the reputation accumulated by the Spring Festival Gala in the previous two years disappear without a trace, and afterwards, a large number of critical letters were sent to CCTV.

CCTV had to apologize publicly, and the director Huang Yihe was suspended for half a year.

The director of this year's Spring Festival Gala is still Huang Yihe. Having learned from last year's lessons, the Spring Festival Gala has returned to its old path.

Zhao Zhongxiang, Wang Gang, Jiang Kun, Fang Shu, Gu Yongfei, and Liu Xiaoqing were the six hosts. The show started with a big song party, followed by crosstalk, magic, Peking opera, sketches...

It was still the familiar recipe, and it was still the familiar taste. Only then did the people in thousands of households reveal satisfied smiles.

This year's Spring Festival Gala, Chen Peisi and Zhu Shimao's skit "Mutton Skewers" was played until almost midnight.

The old and young in the family could no longer hold on and fell asleep. Only Lin Chaoyang and his group were still sitting on the sofa watching a movie.

He looked at Zhu Shimao joking around on stage with Chen Peisi and sighed, "What a pity for Zhu Shimao!"

Tao Yushu said: "What a pity! He is so famous now!"

Tao Yucheng said: "Chaoyang should be talking about his film career. He is well-known now, but I am afraid no director would dare to use him. Looking at his face, the audience will have to put on a show!"

Tao Yushu nodded and said to Lin Chaoyang, "Hey, it would be great if we could invite them both to the opening of the clothing store."

As the strongest sketch king before Benshan, it goes without saying that the duo of Chen Peisi and Zhu Shimao have a great audience appeal. If they could be invited over, the effect would surely be great.

On the third day of the Lunar New Year, Lin Chaoyang and the Tao family went to the military compound at the foot of Shijingshan Mountain for a gathering as usual. As soon as Du Feng saw Lin Chaoyang, he started talking to him about the clothing city.

The Asia-Europe Clothing City will open next month. Its recruitment advertisement was sent out a few days ago and the effect was unexpectedly good.

In less than half a month, more than 2000 people came to the company for interviews.

Of course it is impossible for so many people to meet the requirements, but Du Feng did not expect that despite their stringent requirements, there would actually be many people who meet the requirements.

After a rigorous screening, 40 sales clerks were finally successfully recruited. In Du Feng's words: each of them is well-proportioned and prettier than the flight attendants.

Last year, Wang Shuo published a novella titled "Stewardess" in Contemporary Magazine, which tells the love story between a retired sailor and a stewardess, and caused quite a stir.

To put it nicely, it's a love story with a romantic tone, to put it bluntly, it's just wishful thinking, because this guy is a retired sailor.

In the eyes of ordinary people of this era, flight attendants are absolutely synonymous with beauty and temperament.

The most important thing is that these sales clerks not only have good looks, but are also highly educated and speak standard Mandarin. When they put on their uniforms and go to any station, they are indeed not much inferior to flight attendants.

During this period, Du Feng also followed Tao Yushu's advice and hired someone to train these sales staff, benchmarking them against flight attendants in all aspects from appearance to etiquette.

When talking about the sales clerks he recruited, Du Feng's brows were filled with pride.

"Brother-in-law, I dare say that the sales clerks in our clothing store are definitely the ones with the highest personal qualities in Yanjing City."

Another benefit of hiring salespeople with high salaries is that it helps build the reputation of the Asia-Europe Clothing City.

The Asia-Europe Garment City took out a full-page recruitment advertisement in the Yanjing Daily for half a month, spending more than 30,000 yuan on advertising alone, and the effect was surprisingly good.

Unsurprisingly, the harsh conditions in the job advertisement attracted the attention of quite a few readers. If the conditions were just harsh, people would probably not pay much attention to it after just watching the fun and making a few sarcastic remarks.

However, the harsh conditions of Asia-Europe Clothing City correspond to generous salary packages, which far exceed the current salary standards of ordinary people in Yanjing. Many people are jealous of this and naturally have a strong interest in the "Asia-Europe Clothing City" in this recruitment advertisement.

Although it has not yet opened for business, the Asia-Europe Clothing City has already gained popularity in Yanjing City.

Du Feng was talking excitedly about the various progress made in the preparations for the Asia-Europe Garment City over the past month, and he was very confident.

On the other side, Du Ruolin, who was chatting with Tao's father, glanced at Du Feng's smug look and snorted coldly to show his dissatisfaction.

"They just do some crooked things all day long. Look at the things published in the newspaper. They say they are recruiting, but if you don't know, you would think it is a beauty pageant!
He has lost his mind after making a few bucks. Why would an unmarried young man like him recruit so many pretty girls? I think he has bad intentions!"

Father Tao said with a smile: "Brother, Du Feng is already very good. He has been doing business honestly in the past two years and has not overstepped the line at all. Isn't he much better than those people who messed around in Hainan?"

When Tao's father mentioned Hainan, Du Ruolin's eyes flashed, "He dares! I'll break his legs!"

"Alright, alright. He's doing pretty well now, don't always hold him to your own standards.

Yushu told me that their recruitment is equivalent to advertising.

Just think about it, if even you have noticed the advertisement of their clothing mall, how many ordinary people in Yanjing City must know about it. "

Du Ruolin nodded slightly, "Du Feng said that this was all Yu Shu's idea. This college student has a sharp brain."

If Du Feng heard the conversation between the two, he would probably be so depressed that he wanted to vomit blood.

He brought up Tao Yushu to shut his father up, but unexpectedly it confirmed his father's blatant double standards.

I had no good intentions in running the advertisement, and she was smart in coming up with the idea.

You are not such a bully!
Discrimination based on academic qualifications!
After the dinner, before leaving, Du Feng reminded Lin Chaoyang, "Brother-in-law, don't forget to invite the celebrity."

"I can't forget Liu Xiaoqing!"

Lin Chaoyang replied to him lightly, and specifically mentioned "Liu Xiaoqing", which made Du Feng's expression a little embarrassed.

What an innocent eighties!

The next day, Lin Chaoyang ran to Chen Huaikai's house. When Chen Huaikai saw him, he was extremely surprised.

"Oh, you are a rare guest!"

After wishing each other a happy new year, Chen Huaikai called his son and daughter to wish Lin Chaoyang a happy new year.

Lin Chaoyang smiled and acted like an elder. He took out two big unity notes from his pocket and said, "Here, lucky money!"

Chen Kaige and his sister received the lucky money with both laughter and tears. They were both thirty years old and never expected that one day they would receive lucky money.

"Old Chen, a good father will have a good son!" Lin Chaoyang complimented Chen Huaikai.

Last year, Chen Kaige was seconded to the Guangxi Film Studio and was entrusted with an important task to direct the feature film "Yellow Earth". He first made a small appearance at the Golden Rooster Awards and then participated in a number of film festivals abroad in the second half of the year.

It has won awards at film festivals including the Tokyo Film Festival, the Hawaii International Film Festival in the United States, the London International Film Festival in the United Kingdom, and the Locarno International Film Festival.

Although they are all not-so-famous film festivals, they can still be considered as bringing glory to the country!
Having won a bunch of awards abroad, Chen Kaige has become a rising star in the Chinese film industry and a leading figure among the young generation of directors.

Chen Huaikai was all smiles, watching the son respect his father. Praising his son made him ten times happier than praising himself.

"Well! It's all thanks to the support of noble people. He just has good luck." After being modest on behalf of his son, Chen Huaikai asked Lin Chaoyang, "How did you find time to come here? You didn't come here just to wish me a happy new year, did you?"

"I do have something to do. I want to invite the five golden flowers from your factory to participate in an event."

Lin Chaoyang talked about the opening ceremony of the clothing city, because he did know Liu Xiaoqing, Zhang Jinling and other stars from Yanying Studio from their previous movies, but he was not familiar with them.

Chen Huaikai is a meritorious figure in Yanying Studio, so it would be more appropriate to ask him to help invite people.

After listening to Lin Chaoyang's words, Chen Huaikai pondered and said, "It's no problem to hire someone. But you also know that this matter is quite taboo in the unit..."

"I see."

After asking Chen Huaikai for help, Lin Chaoyang was about to call Xie Jin again. Unexpectedly, before the call was made, Xie Jin showed up at their house.

He knocked on Lin Chaoyang's door, looking exhausted. Lin Chaoyang was surprised to see him.

"Old Xie? What's wrong with you?"

Today was only the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, and Lin Chaoyang had really not expected to see Xie Jin at this time. They had not worked together for more than two years since "The Garland Under the Mountain", and the number of meetings and correspondence was far less frequent than in previous years.

"Chaoyang, you have to help me!"

When Xie Jin saw Lin Chaoyang, it was like a poor relative in trouble finding his relatives in the city.

Lin Chaoyang was confused, "Help you? What?"

He invited Xie Jin into the house, and after Xie Jin had rested for a while, he told him the purpose of his visit.

It turns out that Xie Jin has been preparing for "Furong Town" for the past six months.

"Furong Town" is adapted from Gu Hua's novel of the same name, which was very popular when it was published. In 82, it won the first Mao Dun Literature Award together with Lin Chaoyang's "The Chess Master", becoming a representative work of scar literature.

Ever since Xie Jin made the decision to shoot the movie "Furong Town", the outside world has been paying attention to it. However, the movie has been in preparation for half a year, but the progress has not been smooth.

The location has been chosen and the actors have been confirmed, but now even the script is not ready. Xie Jin has been so anxious that he has been frothing at the mouth recently.

Lin Chaoyang asked in confusion: "Didn't you find Ah Cheng? Can't he handle a script?"

"Oh! Don't mention it. Ah Cheng wrote several drafts of the script, but none of them were ideal, so I asked the original author Gu Hua to help.

But Gu Hua said he was going to visit Switzerland at that time. I would contact him when he came back in January, but he said he had important things to do and said he didn’t want to participate in the script revision at all.”

Of course, saying "something happened" was just an excuse. On the one hand, Gu Hua didn't want to take over A Cheng's mess, and on the other hand, he was afraid of offending people.

Xie Jin understood this principle, and Lin Chaoyang also understood it.

Xie Jin said with a distressed look, "The news that I'm going to shoot 'Hibiscus Town' has been out for a long time, and the preparation time is long enough. The media has been hyping up 'Hibiscus Town' almost every other day, but there has been no movement for such a long time, and gossip is everywhere!"

"Furong Town" tells the story of what happened during the Buzz Buzz Buzz period, just like when Xie Jin was going to shoot "Legend of Tianyun Mountain" and "The Shepherd", as soon as the news came out, people started attacking him.

Now that the film has not been released, some people who were prejudiced and hostile to "Furong Town" can no longer bear it and have expressed their opinions. During this period of time, some people have openly opposed Xie Jin, some have ridiculed and mocked him, and some have started to use tricks behind his back.

The pressure from public opinion made Xie Jin exhausted, but what worried him even more was the difficulty in producing the script.

Ah Cheng is young and inexperienced, and Gu Hua, the original author, is irresponsible. Xie Jin never expected that the double insurance he had taken out for himself would actually end up strangling the dog.

Last year, he specially brought Gu Hua and A Cheng together for several days to sort out the adaptation.

"Alas! Who could have thought that such a good thing would turn out like this?"

Xie Jin shook his head and sighed, his face full of melancholy and embarrassment. He had been a director for so many years, but this was the first time he was so worried about the script.

Seeing that Lin Chaoyang hadn't spoken, Xie Jin leaned towards him, and the expression on his face turned into one of eager anticipation.

"Chaoyang, you can't just stand by and watch someone die!"

"Hey, hey, hey, what are you doing? Are you still trying to use moral blackmail?" Lin Chaoyang immediately protested.

Xie Jin held his hand, his wrinkled old face showing a flattering expression, "How can this be moral kidnapping? I'm asking you for help! Now that things have come to this, you have to take action. I don't trust anyone else!"

As the old saying goes, ginger is always wiser. The sentence "I can't trust others" really has the meaning of entrusting one's life to someone else.

If this happened to an inexperienced youngster, he would probably be killed and exhausted on the spot.

"Don't try that on me. Gu Hua already knows it's a mess, and you still want to throw it to me." Lin Chaoyang said very soberly.

"What level is Gu Hua at? What level are you at? What he considers a mess is nothing more than a piece of cake for you."

"You have so many screenwriters in Shanghai Film Studio." Lin Chaoyang said in his dying struggle.

"I don't trust them."

"You've figured out that I'm a culprit!"

For the sake of the script, Director Xie let go of his burdens and flattered the actor loudly.

After he kept pestering her, Lin Chaoyang was helpless. They were all old friends and he couldn't just stand by and watch him die.

"So what do you want to do? Let me rewrite the script for you?"

Seeing Lin Chaoyang relax, Xie Jin perked up, "That would be great."

"What you think is quite beautiful!"

Lin Chaoyang didn't intend to waste too much energy on this matter. Besides, the script of "Furong Town" was written by Acheng. They were all acquaintances and they would see each other every day. It would be embarrassing for Acheng to overturn all his work and start over again.

Xie Jin is the director and he doesn't have to care about the face of A Cheng, the screenwriter, but Lin Chaoyang doesn't want to do that.

He said, "Where's the script? Let me take a look first."

Xie Jin hurriedly took out the script, and Lin Chaoyang said, "Let me take a look first, and we'll talk about it tomorrow."

"it is good."

Lin Chaoyang arranged Xie Jin to the west courtyard.

The next morning, Xie Jin came to see Lin Chaoyang, "How was the script?"

Lin Chaoyang did not answer his question, but asked Xie Jin about his thoughts on the adaptation, and Xie Jin talked nonstop.

"…The novel's connotation, ideas and artistic appeal are three-dimensional and multi-faceted. The time span is as long as fifteen years, and the five-year flashback content in the novel must also be reflected.

My previous films just told a story. The better ones showed the personalities of some characters, which are already good films in our country.

But nowadays many young audiences, especially college students, are not satisfied with this. They require movies to show the inner world of the characters in a richer and more diversified way.

Exploring the complexity of human character is the primary task of this film, and the images and music are secondary..."

While Xie Jin was excitedly explaining his ideas for the film adaptation, Lin Chaoyang had been listening quietly with a serious look on his face.

When Xie Jin finally finished speaking and stopped, he sat there thinking and slowly digesting Xie Jin's ideas.

After a long while, he said slowly, "I think I understand what you mean. Actually, it's not that Cheng's book is bad, it's just too literary, and it ignores what you value."

Xie Jin nodded immediately after hearing this, "That's right. Alas, you really understand me. Chaoyang, I found the right person."

Lin Chaoyang picked up a pen, copied down a scene from the script, and circled the lines of "Qin Shutian". Qin Shutian was the male protagonist played by Jiang Wen.

Then he wrote down two more lines, put the original lines together with his own, and asked Xie Jin, "How do you think about this change?"

Xie Jin carefully reviewed the two versions of Qin Shutian's lines. Without comparison, there was no problem with the lines written by Ah Cheng.

But with Lin Chaoyang's version of the lines, the madness and anxiety of Y-school Qin Shutian were written out in just two sentences.

In comparison, Ah Cheng's two lines were restrained and tolerant, but lacked some passion.

Even though there is only a difference of a few words, the gap often lies there.

"Good!" Xie Jin praised, "This is the feeling I want."

He looked at Lin Chaoyang excitedly, his eyes flashing with a greedy gleam.

This boy is such a treasure!
I've only been practicing kung fu for a few years, why do I feel like I'm getting more skilled as I get older?
Lin Chaoyang said: "Then I will make some changes according to this feeling."

Xie Jin agreed happily. Seeing that Lin Chaoyang was busy revising the script, he didn't disturb him, but he didn't leave either. He just sat aside, fearing that Lin Chaoyang had some ideas to communicate with him, and it would be a waste of time if he wasn't there.

Xie Jin sat there for a whole day, and Lin Chaoyang also took a whole day to make changes.

After dinner in the evening, he asked Xie Jin to go to the west courtyard to rest, while he went into the study, closed the doors and windows, and began to revise the script without distraction.

Four or five days passed like this. During the New Year period, no one visited the West Courtyard, so Xie Jin lived there alone.

During the day he went to the east yard to play with Lin Chaoyang's two children, and at night he stayed in the west yard. Although there was television, books, and newspapers, he felt as if the days were long.

On the morning of the tenth day of the first lunar month, Xie Jin ran to the East Courtyard and asked Lin Chaoyang as soon as he saw him, "How is it? How is it? Have you finished the revision?"

This is his morning routine these days. Usually, Lin Chaoyang’s answer is “wait.”

But today was different. Lin Chaoyang cast a look at the coffee table in the living room, and Xie Jin immediately understood, his face filled with ecstasy.

He couldn't wait to walk to the coffee table, picked up the freshly-written script and started flipping through it.

At the beginning of the novel "Furong Town", Gu Hua used several hundred words to describe the plot of Hu Yuyin's interactions with diners around her while setting up a rice tofu stall in Furong Town. Most of the text is narrative.

But in the script, these words look different.

"(Hu Yuyin's rice tofu stall on Qingshiban Street in Furong Town is always busy with customers.)
Diner A: Sister Furong, please put more chili in my dish.

Diner B: I want vinegar.

Hu Yuyin: (Greeting the newly arrived guest, enthusiastically) Here they come.

Customer C: Sister Furong, please give me more chopped green onions. Come on.

Hu Yuyin: Guigui.

Diner Ding: Sister Furong, I've been waiting for a long time, hurry up.

Hu Yuyin: Hey, here I come.

Diner A: Has it been released?

Hu Yuyin: Released. Insurance is so spicy that it hurts your belly button.

Diner A: (jokingly) My belly button hurts, sister, can you please treat it for me?

......"

The biggest difference between scriptwriting and literary writing is that the abstract literary narrative is replaced by concrete audio-visual language.

It looks dry and even lacks literary talent, just like an elementary school student's composition.

The main reason for this difference is that literary writing serves people's subjective imagination, while script writing serves people's audio-visual perception, or to put it more bluntly, it serves the language of the lens.

Therefore, it must have the characteristics of combining pictures and sounds, time and space.

A clock is ticking, a window is opening, a person is looking, two guys are laughing, a car is turning a bend, a telephone is ringing, and so on.

A film script is a story told through pictures. Of course, it also includes language and description, but their importance is obviously secondary.

Lin Chaoyang did not overturn the original content of the "Furong Town" script, but made changes based on the original.

This is like a master craftsman re-carving on an already carved jade pendant. If he does not have sufficiently sophisticated skills, he would never dare to do so.

"A man of great skill and courage is born! Haha! Great, great, great!" Xie Jin finished reading the script, savored it for a long time, and then could not help but burst into hearty laughter.

His face was full of joy, and the anxiety and impatience of the past few days were no longer seen. He said to Lin Chaoyang with relief: "Chaoyang, you didn't let me down. You are really a man of great skill and courage!"

Xie Jin emphasized twice that "the more skilled you are, the more courageous you are". Before he came to Lin Chaoyang, he was not worried that Lin Chaoyang would refuse his request for help. After all, they were old acquaintances.

However, the script of "Furong Town" was stuck in an awkward situation. Even the original author Gu Hua was unwilling to take over. Xie Jin was already prepared for Lin Chaoyang to overturn this version of the script.

But he didn't expect that Lin Chaoyang actually chose the most challenging method for him, and completed it so well.

Xie Jin certainly understood that the reason why Lin Chaoyang did this was largely to save time for him and the crew.

Another possible reason is that Lin Chaoyang was concerned about the face of his acquaintance Acheng.

Anyway, the script was revised and Xie Jin was very satisfied. The problem that had been bothering him was finally solved.

"We must invite a few more people to have a good drink tonight!" said Xie Jin.

"There's no time to drink, let's settle the royalties first." Lin Chaoyang said in a cheerful tone.

Xie Jin couldn't help but laugh twice when he heard this, "You, you, you can never forget your royalties."

Then he said cheerfully: "Tell me, how much do you want for the manuscript this time?"

Lin Chaoyang looked at Xie Jin with a joking expression, "You want me to make an offer? I'm afraid you can't handle it!"

Xie Jin understood Lin Chaoyang and knew that he always attached great importance to the royalties. If he was allowed to name a price, he might really name a sky-high price.

But since he had said it, he couldn't show his fear, so he pretended to be calm and said, "Can you still shout out 100,000?"

After saying this, he thought to himself, at worst I can ask for a high price and then pay it back when it lands.

Lin Chaoyang sneered, "Look how scared you are. Okay, this time I'll just help you out on a voluntary basis."

Xie Jin suspected that there was something wrong with his ears, "Voluntary help?"

He deliberately looked outside again, "The sun is rising from the west?"

Lin Chaoyang: It’s like a dog biting Lu Dongbin, right?
