Fault Utopia

Chapter 574: Meaningless

Chapter 574: Meaningless

In the depressing meeting room, Sun Jack took a deep breath, suppressed the anger in his heart, and returned to the main seat again.

"You want to play the game of pretending to obey but actually disobeying me? Fine, fine! Then I'll play along with you!! I've been through everything, why would I be afraid of this?"

"Don't let me find any clues! Otherwise, I will make you pay with the lives of those hundreds of people!!"

With blood on her head, Abei stood up gritting her teeth. AA and Linda Linda beside her tried to stop her, but they failed.

Half of her face was covered in blood, making Ah Bei's once charming face look ferocious and beastly. She stared at Sun Jie Ke without fear. "Sun Jie Ke! I want to ask you why!"

"Why can't we use the technology of immortality? Why can't we live the life of the Holy Grail people? The communist utopia you always want to talk about is just your goal! Have you ever asked about our goal?"

"At the beginning, in order to join the gang, my brother and I risked our lives to accompany you! Along the way, we have suffered so much with you! What's wrong with us enjoying ourselves!!"

"If it wasn't for a better life, why would we risk our lives against you back then?"

"I'm not afraid to tell you! I didn't do this! But I can't stand your behavior anymore! I'm not going to do this anymore!"

As soon as these words were spoken, everyone present was shocked. No one expected that Abei would actually say that.

Incredibly angry, Ah Bei reached out and stabbed himself in the chest twice. "Sun Jieke! You've never looked down on us two brothers. Do you think you were able to conquer such a big place by yourself?"

"Who joined you when you were such a jerk? Who gave you advice and fought for you?"

"Are you fucking blind? Fuck you, are you a dog? You turn against me so easily?! What do we mean to you?"

After Ah Bei finished speaking, he resigned from various positions and took the initiative to leave the Utopian Federation. "Steel Heart! Let's go! We don't want to serve this bastard anymore!!"

When everyone saw that Abei quickly put the shares belonging to him and his brother directly on the Internet and prepared to sell them, they knew that the other party was serious.

Linda Linda quickly stood up and tried to stop him, but was stopped by Sun Jack.

"Let her go! Ah Bei! You! And all your former friends from Eighteenth Street, get out of here!!"

"Tsk! I would have done the same even if you didn't tell me!!" Abei said as he walked towards the door with a hateful look on his face.

When he arrived at the door, he turned around abruptly and looked at Sun Jieke fiercely, "You are not allowed to do this or that! What is the difference between you and the Holy Grail man? People are not robots! Everyone has selfish desires! You idiot!!"

"Get out! Get out!" Sun Jack threw the gun in his hand directly.

As Ah Bei and Gang Xin left, the atmosphere in the conference room became more and more depressing. Sun Jie looked at the remaining people, "Who else wants to feel uncomfortable with her and leave together?"

"Okay, I promise you all, as long as you leave the Utopian Federation, you can join other capitals or start your own business! Anyone who wants to leave can leave! All of you can leave!!"

However, in the face of Jack's roar, no matter what Sun Jack said, everyone else remained silent.

Time passed by minute by minute, and when it was late at night, Sun Jack was the only one left in the empty and solemn conference room, and the culprit of today's incident had still not been found.

Sun Jieke suddenly felt very tired, extremely tired, even more tired than when he overthrew the Holy Grail and fought against FFP. Deep footsteps sounded, and the priest came to Sun Jieke's side. His voice was unusually gentle.

"In the past, I was always worried that you would be corrupted and become the next Lan Meng. It seems that I was wrong. You did it. But what's the point of you not being corrupted?"

"You always thought I was too radical, but there are some things that cannot be done without being radical. There are only zero and countless times of compromise. If we don't reform and arm people's minds from the beginning, then even if we win, it will only be the beginning of a new cycle."

Sun Jack didn't answer anything, he just sat there like a sculpture.

"No matter what happens in the future, no matter how you plan to change, I and all the believers of liberation theology will always support you, Comrade." Not long after the priest left, Linda Linda came over.

She opened her arms and hugged Sun Jie Ke in her tall chest. "A Bei hasn't left yet. I and the others will try our best to hold the siblings back."

Then she said with a hint of complaint in her voice: "You should comfort her. To be honest, she is very sad when you said that to her. In fact, if she didn't really care about you, she wouldn't say those things. You should comfort her. If you comfort her well, maybe she won't leave."

Sun Jieke slowly turned his head and looked at Linda Linda in disbelief. "Coax her? What do you think you are doing? Are you in love? You think it's over, but you don't understand what's going on at all."

Exhausted both physically and mentally, Sun Jack came outside the building, feeling the acid rain constantly washing over his face. The cold rain made him feel a little better at the moment.

He knew that his mind was in turmoil and it was not suitable for him to make any important decisions. Sun Jie Ke decided to wait until his mind was completely settled before thinking seriously.

Just as he took out a cigarette from his pocket and was about to light it again, he seemed to see a vague black figure in the rain in the distance by the light of the fire.

Sun Jack frowned and walked quickly towards the black shadow. As he got closer, the black shadow became bigger and clearer.

It was a giant statue of Sun Jack, several dozen meters tall. The statue of Sun Jack always looked ahead with confidence and determination.

"Fuck! Didn't I say that no statues are allowed?" Looking at the statue, Sun Jieke suddenly became furious, and he was about to walk over there angrily.

But at this moment, he saw a large group of metropolitan citizens next to the statue, looking at the huge sculpture with respect and admiration in their eyes.

Just when Sun Jack came to the side of the sculpture, all the citizens of the metropolis knelt down heavily in front of the sculpture.

This kneeling was like kneeling on Sun Jie Ke's heart. Sun Jie Ke's face turned pale instantly and he staggered a few steps. If it weren't for the support of Ta Pai behind him, Sun Jie Ke would have almost fallen down.

"What's wrong? Are you okay?" asked Tapai.

Sun Jieke shook his head. He stretched out his shaking fingers and picked up a cigarette from the inside of his windbreaker and tried to light it again, but he failed to light it after several attempts.

More and more citizens gathered nearby, and they followed the others in kneeling down and worshipping Sun Jack sincerely.

Just as Tapai put the fire to Sun Jieke's mouth to help him light the cigarette, Sun Jieke slowly slid to the ground against his body.

Sun Jack lay on the wet ground with clenched teeth. He clenched his fists and punched the ground again and again, and tears mixed with the cold acid rain silently slid down.
