Chapter 645 Extra: Cloning

Chapter 645 Extra: Cloning (4)

"Let's go."

Hearing Sun Jieke's urging, AA could only manage to pick up some useful items and follow him away from the place filled with corpses.

"Boss, we killed so many of them, won't they retaliate?"

"They'll have to find us first, since they've destroyed all the surveillance footage themselves."

As he spoke, Sun Jack took out the chips from his pocket. After thinking for a moment, he didn't take them out completely, only two.

"Boss, I'm hungry, I haven't eaten enough." AA looked at Sun Jieke with an innocent expression.

Sun Jieke turned to look at her, thought for a moment, and then pulled out all the chips from his pocket. He reached out and vigorously rubbed her head. "Let's go! We're rich now! Let's go have a big meal!"

Slurping and slurping, AA gulped down mouthfuls of beef noodles, savoring the delicious taste with her eyes practically shining.

Meanwhile, Sun Jieke was eating real fried chicken with gusto, the pure aroma of the food almost filling his depleted soul.

"Boss! This is delicious! What's this?!" AA handed a half-eaten yellow fruit to Sun Jack.

Sun Jieke reached out and took it, popped it into his mouth and bit down, and the rich juice burst out of his mouth. "This is a loquat."

This is a high-end buffet in Varanasi. Outside the window, black snow falls and cold steel stands out, which only highlights the extravagance of the food inside. The trees are laden with fruit, and small boats full of food float on rivers of wine, winding around Sun and Jack.

"Boss! I want a drink!"

"Drink!" Sun Jieke picked up the oyster shell in his hand, scooped up some liquor from the bottle, and handed it to AA.

All of this was real food, without a trace of anything synthetic. As Sun Jie ate everything, he felt that the brightness around him had increased considerably.

However, some of the food in the store was presented in a rather avant-garde way. When Sun Jieke saw a sizzling roast duck with its baby swaying past him, steaming hot, he almost spat out the food in his mouth.

"Holy crap, Tapai, look at this guy, he's fucking hell!" Sun Jack said with a loud laugh, but then froze on the spot.

AA, whose eyes were a little red, held up the oyster shell containing the wine and handed it back to Sun Jieke.

Sun Jieke reached out and took it, then tilted his head back and poured it all down his throat. "Drink!"

The two of them looked noticeably heavier as they left the store, but that wasn't the end of it. Sun Jieke took AA to the next entertainment venue.

For some reason, when Sun Jieke realized that he had become someone who didn't care about anyone and could do whatever he wanted, he suddenly felt very happy, extremely happy.

Inside the holographic image, Sun Jack is holding a microphone, standing atop a mechanical dragon, roaring loudly as if trying to release all the pressure in his heart. However, without the Holy Grail, he doesn't know what pressure he has.

Meanwhile, the drunken AA was practicing drunken boxing to match Sun Jieke's music and rap, and occasionally vomited.

Sun Jack had forgotten where he went after that; he only remembered that no one was watching him anymore, no matter what he did. In a daze, Sun Jack suddenly opened his eyes. The moment he saw the ceiling, his expression tightened, and the laser blades on his arms sprang out instantly. Accompanied by an adrenaline rush, his entire body's combat prosthetics instantly went into battle mode.

However, after Sun Jieke, fully armed, locked onto his target, he saw a robot vacuum cleaner slowly gliding past him.

"Damn, you scared me." Sun Jie kicked the other person, then looked at his combat prosthetic body. "Where was I yesterday? When did I get so much stuff?"

He quickly glanced at his bank balance. "The prices in this crappy place are so high, how did I end up spending so much?"

But then his expression tightened again. "Will some people notice how reckless I was yesterday? Will someone collect our information to sell it for money?"

Upon thinking of this, his expression turned serious, and he quickly activated his nervous system to check all the pathways from yesterday.

Meanwhile, AA, who was lying on her side on the sofa, was also awakened by Sun Jieke's movements. She watched Sun Jieke bustling around with sleepy eyes, and every now and then she would come to the window and carefully pull back the curtains to peek outside.

"What are you doing, boss?" she asked curiously, picking up the shirt that had been thrown onto the lampshade and putting it on.

"Pay attention! Get ready! We need to get out of this city right now! We might have been exposed!"

Sun Jieke had already opened the software and started booking tickets, but he quickly closed it again, feeling that it would leave too obvious a trace. He then used the Tor network to access the dark web.

“Boss…” AA walked over and reached out to pat Sun Jieke on the shoulder, but Sun Jieke shook him off.

Suddenly, Sun Jieke whirled around, grabbed her arms with a tense expression, and quickly examined her body. "And you? How many new prosthetics do you have? Where did you buy them from?"

AA looked at Sun Jieke with a complicated expression, and after calling out a few times in a low voice, she found that the other party was completely absorbed in his own affairs and did not notice her.

"Boss!!" Sun Jack finally stopped screaming when AA clenched his fists with his eyes almost closed.

"Nobody notices us anymore! There's no Holy Grail anymore!! And no Peak Company anymore!! They're all captivated by the real Jack Sun! Absolutely nobody notices us!!"

"Wake up from Sun Jack's perspective!! You are not Sun Jack! You are not the boss at all! The mission to overthrow the Holy Grail! The Tal faction, the four loves, even the longing for Hilda—all of that belongs to the real Sun Jack! You are merely a clone of him! A completely meaningless clone!!"

Sun Jieke stopped, and the room instantly fell silent, with only AA's rising and falling breathing remaining.

Sun Jieke paused for a long time. During this time, no enemies rushed into the room to attack them, and nothing else happened. All of this made Sun Jieke's previous extreme behavior seem like a joke, and also indirectly confirmed the truth of AA's words.

But he quickly rallied, "No, my existence has meaning, my meaning is to protect you! Even if you don't acknowledge me as your boss, I still have to protect you!"

"I can't let the Holy Grail replace AA like a toy! As long as I protect the real AA, my existence has meaning!" Sun Jieke resumed his previous actions, completely unaware that AA's tears were silently flowing down her face behind him.

Just as Sun Jieke was quickly getting everything ready to leave, he heard AA's choked voice behind him. "If I'm also a clone, will you still protect me like before? Or is it that only the real AA has meaning for you?"

When Sun Jack slowly turned his head, stiff and incredulous, he saw AA crouch down, covering her face and crying loudly. "I'm not the real AA, the real AA is still in Metropolis! I'm a clone just like you!"
