Chapter 648 Extra: Cloning

Chapter 648 Extra: Cloning (7)

Listening to 4chan Feng's incessant chatter, Sun Jack didn't say anything. He just silently stared at the clone arena, white mist repeatedly appearing on his face with each breath.

He watched as pairs of clones fought each other to become one, over and over again, his fists clenching tighter and tighter.

After watching another person strangle another version of himself to death, Sun Jieke finally spoke up: "That's not right!"

"What? What did you say?" Feng was a little confused about what Sun Jieke was talking about.

"I say that's not right! Clones definitely don't only have one path to choose: to seize the original's identity. They can choose another path!"

Hearing the other person ramble on like this, Feng chuckled and leaned back slightly on the sofa. "So you're just rambling on about this. But what's the point of telling me? Go tell them."

After saying that, he tilted his chin slightly towards the arena, where the blood-covered clone, after killing the original, roared almost madly at the people around it.

Suddenly, a platform slowly rose from the center of the arena. On the platform were various combat cybernetic devices, nervous systems representing identities, and a mask.

The clone lunged forward, clinging tightly to the things that represented his new identity. He laughed wildly with joy, but as he laughed, he gradually began to cry.

"It's useless to just rely on what you think. Everything should be viewed dialectically and materialistically. At least in my case, no clone has any other choice."

Sun Jieke remembered AA's crying face and the task his original self had given him. His expression hardened, and he was about to say something again when he suddenly sensed someone approaching.

"Boss, we found her, damn it! She's hiding in the wilderness of Garbage Hill #2, trying to survive. Who would have thought? She's so damn hard to find!" The gangster's voice rang out from outside the door.

Upon hearing this, Sun Jieke immediately turned around, rushed out of the private room, and headed towards Garbage Mountain No. 2 on the system navigation.

Watching the other person's retreating figure, 4 Feng slowly picked up the electronic drug on the table and inserted it back into the back of his head again. "How interesting..."

"Damn, boss, are we really not going to take him down? He has a lot of good stuff on him."

"Can I fuck your mother? Didn't you hear what others said? We're business people, can't we have some manners? From now on, no more swearing!"

Two hours later, when the black snow on Sun Jack's shoulders had fallen to a centimeter thick, he finally arrived at the snow cave in the garbage snow mountain. His keen senses allowed him to easily dodge the simple sound trap set by AA.

When he got to the innermost part, he saw AA with red eyes, intently boiling the black snow in front of her, with the distillation equipment she had made piled up next to her.

This little girl seems to want to distill water from the black snow. If she can really do it, the problem of fresh water will be completely solved for her to live in the future.

“AA.” Sun Jieke’s words made AA’s hand tremble, and she immediately spilled the liquid in her hand.

Upon seeing that the person who had come was Sun Jieke, she hurriedly lowered the gun she had raised, along with her head. The crowded yet cozy snow cabin fell silent for a moment, and neither of them spoke again.

However, it was Sun Jieke who spoke first, asking, "Why are you running? Don't you know this place is dangerous?"

AA didn't say anything, but just pursed her lips tightly and gripped the hem of her clothes with both hands.

"Come on! Come back with me." Sun Jie walked over with a complicated expression and tried to pull her away, but she shook him off.

"I'm not leaving!" AA finally raised her head, looking stubbornly at Sun Jieke.
Seeing the other person's reaction, his voice rose a notch. "Aren't you going to stay here and live like a savage?" "Be a savage then! I'm an engineering student! I can survive anywhere!"

"Do you know how dangerous this place is? People can die here!"

"So what! I'm a Metropolitan! When have I ever been afraid of dying!"

"you--"

Sun Jieke discovered that this guy was usually quite easy to talk to, but when he got stubborn, he was really stubborn, like a donkey.

Seeing that this wouldn't work, Sun Jieke closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and then slowly opened them. He said to the girl in front of him earnestly, "AA, we really don't have time to be temperamental right now. The Holy Grail could attack your true form at any moment. We need to go back and save her."

But when faced with Sun Jack's outstretched hand again, AA took two steps back and dodged.

As if finally realizing Sun Jieke's purpose, tears streamed down her face again. "How can I be saved? Replace me with AA's original self and let me be killed in AA's place?! So my purpose in life is just to act as bait and be killed by the Holy Grail?"

AA started crying but quickly managed to hold it back; she was so thirsty and couldn't waste any more water.

Upon hearing this, Sun Jieke was momentarily speechless.

She choked back tears as she spoke, "Did you even consider me before you did this?"

"No." Sun Jieke told the truth, which immediately brought tears to AA's eyes.

Seeing that she couldn't hold back her tears, AA could only cry loudly while picking up a plastic plate to catch them, preparing to distill fresh water to drink later. "I hate you!"

"AA, answer me honestly, do you really not want to risk your life to save the original? Even if you love her?" Sun Jieke recalled the scene in the arena and looked at AA with determination. "That doesn't make sense, AA. If the original is willing to die for you, then you, as a clone, should also die for her."

"Perhaps other clones would fight each other for their identity, but I know you are different. We are absolutely different from them!"

Upon hearing this, AA stopped sobbing and remained silent for a long time before finally saying, "I don't know."

"Don't know? How could I not know?"

“I know, but I really don’t know. I love her and am willing to die for her, but this love comes from the essence of my being; it belongs to her.”

"Whether it's a mental illness or some other kind of XP, it belongs to her. She cloned it into me, including this emotion of being willing to die for her."

“But what about me? I don’t have anything that belongs to me at all,” AA looked down at her hands, a hint of confusion in her eyes.

After saying that, AA raised his head and looked at Sun Jack in front of him. "Boss, what about you? After getting rid of everything Sun Jack has, do you have anything that truly belongs to you?"

"I have!"

"No, you don't! You don't! The only thing you have is the meaning your original self gave you to send me back to my death!" AA shouted everything in near collapse.
