Chapter 537 Zootopia
Chapter 537 Zootopia
What's going on with this planet?
Peter and John soon arrived at the edge of the city, and both of them were deeply shocked.
John opened his mouth and said, "This place looks like New York, but..."
"More like the New York Zoo, isn't it?"
Peter quipped, "Or maybe it's the circus. Did you see that? That gorilla is driving a car in the sky! What is that? Rise of the Planet of the Apes? Zootopia?"
"Yes, that's really strange."
John nodded.
The two of them became even more certain that this was a man-made planet. It wasn't that animals couldn't naturally evolve into intelligent beings, but rather that it was impossible for all animals to evolve into intelligent species.
“That makes us outcasts,” John said.
“Not us, it’s you,” Peter said, pointing at him. “They might mistake me for Spider-Man or something.”
"But this is nothing to be happy about."
“We need to go into the city and find out what’s going on before we make a plan,” Peter said, pulling out a bronze-colored mask that looked rather hard.
"what is this?"
"Bionic face, the technology that evolves humans."
"What are evolved humans?" John was completely confused.
The battle with the evolved humans was kept completely secret, including the collision crisis.
No one knows that they might be facing the threat of world destruction every day they wake up.
“In short, once you put it on, we can transform into a different appearance.” Peter said as he adjusted the mask’s settings, setting the disguise to an animal-like human.
Then he gave a demonstration, putting on the mask, and under John's gaze, it seemed as if he had finally begun to transform into a beast, with several spider arms growing from his ribs, covered in a lot of hair. His eyes also became six pairs.
John was so startled he almost fell to the ground.
"Alright, you come too."
"This, okay..."
He transformed into a jaguar.
The two walked into the city without any qualms, but they soon discovered that the world was not entirely populated by beastmen; there were also some ordinary humans.
However, they all lived at the very bottom, like cockroaches and rats in the sewers, looking up at the animals flying around above them.
The ground was almost untouched by orcs, and only the most basic sanitation was maintained to ensure the city didn't stink. As for the sticky oil stains and scattered garbage on the ground, no one cared.
Only a few huge purple robots patrolled back and forth on the streets.
The humans, dressed in old clothes and with dusty faces, were filled with wariness and hatred towards these two uninvited guests.
"It seems the animals on this planet don't have a very good relationship with humans," John said.
Peter said, “I don’t think the relationship between the two on Earth is that good. I mean, cattle and sheep don’t get eaten by us willingly.”
Then, as if remembering something, he asked, "Do you think those animals eat people?"
"They might have set up a large human breeding farm somewhere, raising meat people or milk people or something."
"Stop talking..."
For the first time, John realized that it was understandable why his dad disliked Spider-Man.
Besides, it's one thing to show flesh and blood, but would you even broadcast a story about humans being imprisoned like cows and milked every day?
Peter was still not satisfied and muttered, "They still need to eat meat, right?"
As the two were talking, a car suddenly crashed into the giant patrol robot, causing the robot to malfunction and target a child.
"Stop it, Spider-Man!"
Without John's prompting, Peter had already leaped dozens of meters and kicked the robot to pieces. The current Peter is far stronger than before; Bant created an advanced version of the Spider-Serum, greatly enhancing Spider-Man's base stats and granting Peter some derivative abilities from other Spider-Men.
For example, invisibility, releasing bioelectric currents.
"Are you blind, everyone? You're treating a child like a threat?"
The robot was easily dealt with, and the terrified child's mother rushed over, hugged her child, and thanked him profusely.
However, she remained somewhat wary due to Peter and John's current appearance.
"Wait, don't be afraid. We are not beastmen, we are humans."
John quickly removed his mask, briefly revealing his true appearance, but then quickly put it back on to avoid being detected by surveillance cameras.
The woman and the child were immediately stunned.
"You guys come with me!"
After a brief moment of surprise, the woman decisively led them into an alley and into a somewhat dilapidated clinic.
Only after arriving here did John feel relieved enough to take off his mask.
“My name is Naoko, and he is my child, Sain.”
Peter scanned Naoko's fair and pretty face and Saine's dark-skinned face, thinking that if Ben were here, he would definitely tell some skin color jokes.
But he's a good kid and doesn't discriminate against people of color.
I just hope the child's father isn't white, otherwise it'll be a cuckold situation.
“My name is John Jameson. This is Spider-Man.”
"Spider-Man?" Naoko and Saine stared intently at Peter, their eyes filled with distrust. "Is he an orc?"
“No, he’s human too, Spider-Man. How about taking off the mask?” John looked at Peter with interest, seemingly expectant.
He has never seen Spider-Man's true face.
“Spider-Man never takes off his mask,” Peter protested.
“That’s a bull warrior. Besides, this isn’t even Earth anymore. What are you afraid of?” John said, his eyes seeming to be trying to pull off Kakashi’s mask.
Is it sausage lips, buck teeth, or pockmarks?
"Take it off, I'll keep it a secret for you."
"Okay, okay..."
Peter feigned helplessness, but in reality, he secretly used a disguise mask to transform into another face.
—Blonde hair, blue eyes, and graceful bearing.
He looks exactly like the blonde Peter from the Ultimate Universe.
"You're quite handsome..." John said, somewhat surprised.
“I don’t wear a mask because I’m ugly,” Peter said irritably.
He wasn't as handsome as the blond Peter, but he wasn't bad either; he just didn't have the same air of nobility.
“Can you tell me what’s going on with this planet?” Peter asked. “What’s going on with the animals? And we’ve noticed that the situation for humans on this planet doesn’t seem to be very good.”
"This planet?"
"Are you aliens?"
Naoko exclaimed in surprise.
“We are indeed from another planet, but to say we are aliens…” Peter scanned Naoko with his watch, but the watch did not react.
"Our genes are similar; we are completely identical human beings."
"This planet is like it fell from a parallel universe."
