Chapter 549 Friends from My Hometown
Peter rushed to the nuclear power plant, but by then the rebels and the Knights of Wendagher had already evacuated.

He had no choice but to return to the rebel base.

"You mean John was arrested?"

Karen nodded: "Yes."

She and Broomley recounted what had happened, and Peter learned that John had been captured both because he was covering their retreat and because he was wearing his uniform.

"Very good, saving one and then saving another, there's no time to catch your breath."

Peter couldn't help but complain.

But at least this time he was more confident.

He glanced down at his watch and figured that as long as the Supreme Evolution didn't appear, there shouldn't be any problems.

"And who are they, your friends?" Karen asked, looking at the unconscious Star-Lord and his group.

They were a little unhappy that Peter had brought outsiders to the rebel base so casually.

“Apart from the one wearing a watch, the others might be reinforcements…” Peter wasn’t sure.

He felt that Bant wouldn't send these unreliable guys to help him, but Star-Lord and his crew were indeed the only people connected to the Celestials in the past few weeks.

"You seem to dislike them?"

He has almost completely come to regard Spider-Man and John as his own people, and he is still very enthusiastic about his companions.

Kit gestured with his hand, then wrote a place name on the paper:
Atlanta.

"It sounds like a seafood gathering place."

Peter stroked his chin: "I have a sister-in-law who poops in bed—no, I mean, a red-haired woman who can breathe underwater. If she were here, she might rule the ocean."

A group of people moved silently through the darkness above the city.

"That's absolutely true."

A silhouette with four twisted arms behind it replied, "I'm starting to wonder if another collision crisis has occurred, and this time it happened without us even noticing."

"The problem is, where are we going to find Peter?" the figure on the hoverboard asked with difficulty. "I did see a news article about Spider-Man in the newspaper, but I'm afraid we can't get in touch with him right now."

The group chatted amongst themselves, but one large man remained silent.

“Lightning, why are you so quiet?” Harry asked.

Lightning, who had been called out, hesitated for a moment before replying, "Venom remembers this planet." "He's been here before?"

"No, it's the hive memory of a symbiote. It seems that some ancient race's parasitic symbiotes have been left here. They can spread like spores through explosions and then parasitize and control the entire planet."

"It's a really dangerous thing."

Venom poked a head out from Lightning's shoulder and grinned maliciously, "If it were before, I would definitely have tried it! Controlling the entire planet, my god, I could eat as many brains as I wanted."

“You can only eat pig brains now,” Lightning emphasized.

“These are human interventions in animal evolution, but you are interfering with human evolution.”

“By the way,” Venom said, “I know where to find Peter.”

"A stinky sewer."

Meanwhile, inside Windagher Castle.

The Ram Riders, who had captured John and the other rebels frozen by Lady Forming's cold air, stormed back to find the Tiger King.

"Your Majesty Tiger King, where is Spider-Man?" Ram Rider immediately questioned upon seeing Tiger King.

"Isn't it right in your hands?"

"This is a fake!" Ram Rider tried to roughly tear off John's battle suit, but the nanomolecules prevented him from succeeding.

This angered the Ram Rider, who slammed John to the ground.

"He has no superpowers at all; it's all a ruse!"

"Is that so? It seems Spider-Man is cunning, or perhaps cowardly. Maybe he's scared after his last encounter with you." Tiger King's expression remained unchanged.

"You and I both know Spider-Man wouldn't do that."

Ram Rider sneered, "So, if this Spider-Man is a decoy, what if the real Spider-Man is there when we head to the nuclear power plant?"

"Then you should ask Spider-Man."

"Alright, Tiger King! Stop playing tricks. You dare swear in the name of Supreme Evolution that you've never seen Spider-Man?" Ram Rider roared angrily.

He glared at the Tiger King, and even his body began to grow larger and hotter, his fiery pupils seeming to burn the traitor Tiger King to ashes.

"I told you I've never seen it!"

As the Tiger King felt guilty for his lie, he also transformed into a giant, the "King" character between his eyebrows turning into a lightning-fast trident, with intense electric currents erupting around his body.

The two sides were on the verge of exploding with tension.

This left Mrs. Forming somewhat bewildered.

"Wait a minute, gentlemen. If the Supreme Evolution Lord knew that we were fighting amongst ourselves, he would probably be very disappointed."

But even with the introduction of the Supreme Evolution, Ram Rider remained completely unmoved.

"If the Supreme Evolution knew that I had eliminated a traitor, he would be proud of me."
