Marvel's Magic Master

Chapter 122: The Basilisk Being Beaten Up

Chapter 122: The Basilisk Being Beaten Up (Part )

Fifteen minutes later, led by Harry and his three companions, all the teachers in the school, including the incompetent Lockhart, gathered in Moaning Myrtle's bathroom on the third floor.

"This really is the entrance to the basilisk!"

Looking at the thick water pipe leading downwards, Snape walked forward and picked up a palm-sized snake scale from the pipe mouth, with a solemn look on his face.

Mag drew out her wand and said firmly:

"Since we have confirmed that this is the entrance of the basilisk, let's go down together and kill the basilisk. We can't let it continue to hurt the students."

"I think we can't all go down. We need someone to stay here. How about me?"

Lockhart looked at the bottomless water pipe and spoke with a stuttering voice.

But before he could finish, he was interrupted coldly by Snape.

"That won't do, Lockhart. Now is the time to show your brilliance. You go down first and walk in front."

"Yeah, we can just watch you deal with the basilisk all by yourself, and then you can write a new book, how great."

Professor Sprout, the usually good-tempered Hufflepuff Headmaster, also had a sarcastic smile on his face.

"I this this"

The cold sweat on Lockhart's face suddenly dropped.

Professor Flitwick, the headmaster of Ravenclaw, followed suit:
"Lockhart, didn't you tell me yesterday that if you encountered a basilisk alone, you could make it die with just one spell?"

"Did I say that? I don't remember."

Lockhart wanted to play it safe, but Snape didn't indulge him at all.

"I remember you said that we messed up the whole thing and it should have been handed over to you from the beginning. Now is the time for you to show your abilities."

"In that case, Lockhart, I'll leave it to you. You go down and deal with the basilisk by yourself. We'll wait for your good news here."

Professor McGonagall spoke finally.

Seeing all the teachers staring at him, Lockhart swallowed and replied:
"Well then, I'll go to the office and prepare some things."

It was impossible to go down and fight the basilisk, so he planned to go back and get his things, run away first, and then find an excuse to get away with it later.

Unfortunately, his little trick had long been seen through by Snape. Just as he was about to turn around and leave, Snape suddenly went up and pushed him hard, pushing him directly into the pipe.

"You are so powerful, if you need to prepare anything, just go down directly."

"what!!!"

Hearing Lockhart's terrified scream as he slid down the water pipe, all the professors smiled with relief.

"George, you can do flying magic, go find Hagrid and bring back a few more roosters.

Harry, you come down with me first."

As the sound of Lockhart landing safely came from deep in the water pipe, Snape turned around and said something to George, then turned into a black shadow and flew under the water pipe with Harry.

According to Ginny, there was another door inside that Harry needed to open using Parseltongue.

Because it had been confirmed that the monster in the Chamber of Secrets was a basilisk, McGonagall had already asked Hagrid to buy large roosters everywhere and place them on various floors of Hogwarts Castle.

Now Hagrid has bought a lot of big roosters, so he lets George take them to deal with the basilisk.

The basilisk's only weakness is the crowing of the rooster. With the help of the rooster, killing the basilisk becomes less difficult.

"You three should go back to the common room first. We will discuss everything after you kill the basilisk and come back."

Professor McGonagall said something to Ginny, Hermione and Ron, and jumped down the pipe with all the other professors.

George nodded to the three of them, spread his wings and flew directly from the third floor to the hall, then quickly flew out of the castle amid the exclamations of the little wizards who were being gathered by the prefects and preparing to return to the common room. "Hagrid, we've found the basilisk, where's the rooster? The professors need it!"

George flew to the door of Hagrid's hut and landed, then asked Hagrid who was preparing chicken food.

Hagrid immediately stood up and rushed into the hut. Because he was so fast, he almost kicked the big dog Fang lying next to him.

“It’s all in this box.”

A moment later, Hagrid brought out a box containing hundreds of large roosters.

The box in Hagrid's hand was cast under a traceless extension spell, so the space inside was large enough to hold not only hundreds but thousands of roosters.

However, this was not modified by Hagrid himself, but was sent by the Ministry of Magic.

Although the Ministry of Magic temporarily suspended Dumbledore because of Malfoy's movements, they did not ignore the safety of the students. After knowing that the monster in the Chamber of Secrets was a basilisk, they specifically approved the box to hold the rooster.

"So many, now the basilisk should be very happy."

When George saw the number of roosters in the box, he immediately mourned for the basilisk in his heart.

Even if it was a thousand-year-old basilisk, it would probably be scared to death this time. It would be better if it died under Harry's sword in the original book.

Picking up the box, George flapped his wings and quickly returned to the third floor of the castle.

However, none of Ron, Hermione and Ginny obeyed and returned to the common room. They were all still standing at the entrance of the pipe, waiting anxiously.

All I can say is that they are all Gryffindors.

"I'm going down, don't worry, it should be resolved soon."

Holding a box containing a hundred big roosters, George said hello to the three little ones, then jumped into the pipe and slid all the way to the bottom.

There was a tunnel at the bottom of the pipe. He continued walking along the tunnel for a while. After passing by a huge snake skin shed by a basilisk, he finally saw Professor Snape and his companions again.

"Here's the cock Hagrid prepared."

George handed the box to Snape, who took a look at it and said to Harry:
"Potter, start."

"George, when Harry opens the door, take him and move far back. Don't look over here."

Mag warned George with some concern.

Harry muttered softly:
"I am one year older than George and one grade higher than him."

"But you're not as good as him. Come on, you idiot. Now is not the time to be jealous."

Snape, who was standing next to Harry, ordered mercilessly.

"I'm not jealous!"

Harry retorted angrily, but still looked at the two entwined stone snake carvings on the wall in front of him and said in Parseltongue:

"Open!"

The emeralds on the stone snake's eyes lit up with green magical light, and the wall immediately cracked, revealing a dimly lit room.

The room was surprisingly large, at least three stories high, and filled with large pillars decorated with snake carvings.

At the end of the pillar is a huge stone statue of a wizard, which is Slytherin, one of the four founders of Hogwarts School.

"George, take him back!"

As soon as the wall cracked, Snape pulled Harry behind him and then said to George.
