Marvel's Magic Master
Chapter 26 George, Luna, Colin and Ginny
Chapter 26 George, Luna, Colin and Ginny
“The history of the basilisk is too long, and the Ministry of Magic has long banned its cultivation, so there are very few books that mention it, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
Like the Scimitar-Horned Snorkeller, it is not believed by wizards to exist, but my father was lucky enough to see one once in Sweden.
The girl tilted her head and replied.
"What is a Scimitar-Horned Snorlax?"
Colin's face was full of curiosity.
The girl explained:
"It's a magical animal with special long horns but can't fly."
"Well, that should be the Erumpent."
By this time George already knew the girl's identity, Luna Lovegood.
His father was Xenophilius Lovegood, editor-in-chief of The Quibbler magazine, and his mother was Pandora Lovegood, who died accidentally when he was nine years old while experimenting with spells.
It can be seen that without sufficient theoretical foundation of magic, creating new spells is a very dangerous thing.
Because of his family's extensive knowledge, he knew that what Luna said about the eagle owl might be true, but he knew that the story about the Scimitar-horned Snorkeller was made up by Xenophilius to fool his daughter.
The so-called Scimitar-Horned Snorlax is actually a Venomous Horned Beast, whose special horns are in danger of exploding.
"There are seats here. Let me help you put your luggage on the rack."
Because George wanted to learn more from Luna that was not in the books, he took the initiative to help her move the luggage on the cart to the shelf above.
"Thank you, my name is Luna Lovegood."
Luna was also very interested in the eagle owl, so she did not refuse. But when she saw the thin and weak George lift her luggage onto the high shelf very easily, she couldn't help but sigh.
“You’re so strong!”
After Luna sat down, the three of them started chatting again.
But it was mainly Colin, who was like a curious baby, who asked questions, Luna answered, and George listened quietly. He would only ask questions when he encountered knowledge that interested him.
"Woo."
A long whistle sounded and the train was about to leave.
At this moment, the sliding door of the box was suddenly opened, and a girl with thick long fiery red hair, bright brown eyes, and a face as delicate and cute as a doll walked in.
"Is there anyone here?"
she asked, pointing to the seat next to Luna.
“Everywhere else is full.”
"No, you can sit next to me."
Luna smiled softly.
The girl was visibly relieved when she heard this, because her brothers' forgetfulness (she certainly would not admit that she almost forgot the magical notebook) caused her to be the last one to board the train.
"Ginny, we're here to help you."
At this time, a pair of red-haired twin boys who looked exactly the same walked in.
They helped their sister put away her luggage with a laugh, and then left playing and making noises as their sister chased them away in disgust.
"Hello everyone, my name is Ginny, Ginny Weasley."
After sending away the two annoying brothers, Ginny sat next to Luna and introduced herself generously. She was not a shy person, except in front of Harry.
"Luna Lovegood."
"Colin Creevey."
"George."
The three of them also introduced themselves.
"George, you have the same name as my brother, one of the two just now. His name is also George, George Weasley. By the way, what is your last name?"
"Just call me George."
George smiled and didn't explain further.
Although his George and George Weasley's George are pronounced the same, there is an essential difference between them.
George Weasley's surname is Weasley and his given name is George, but his actual surname is Joe and his given name is Zhi, which means governance. His father gave him this name because he hoped he could become an official and govern an area in the future.
So actually, according to the way we address him here, he should be called Zhi Qiao.
But he felt that it sounded too awkward, so when he talked to people, he just asked them to call him George.
"Ginny, how many brothers do you have in your family?"
At this time, the kind-hearted Colin suddenly changed the subject. He thought that as an orphan, George would not want people to know his last name.
Ginny didn't think much about it, she stretched out her hands and bent four fingers:
"Six. Bill is a curse breaker in Gringotts in Egypt, Charlie is a dragon trainer in Romania, Percy is in sixth grade, George and Fred are in fourth grade, and you just saw it, Ron."
"so much!"
Colin and Luna were both surprised when they heard Ginny's answer. This many children would be rare even in a Muggle family, let alone a wizard family.
George listened to the conversation between the three people, took his eyes away from Ginny's suitcase, and sighed in his heart.
If all wizarding families could be as fertile as the Weasleys, wizards would have ruled the world long ago and Muggles would have no chance of survival.
As the four of them were chatting, the train started moving, drove out of King's Cross Station, sped along the fields full of cattle and sheep, and quickly moved towards Scotland.
It was the first time for them to travel far away from home, and the destination was the famous Hogwarts. Even the quietest Luna was a little excited.
So the three of them never stopped chatting.
Because much of what the three of them talked about later had nothing to do with magic, but was instead about their childhood experiences and family situations, George gradually withdrew from the conversation and started reading.
At about 12:30, a smiling witch with dimples opened the door of the box and asked:
"Dear children, would you like to buy some food from the car?
There are Pippi's Every Flavour Beans, Puffball Super Bubble Gum, Chocolate Frog, Pumpkin Pie, Cauldron Cake, and Licorice Wand."
Faced with a small cart of magic snacks and the witch's questions, the three of them shook their heads at the same time.
Colin came from a Muggle family so naturally he didn't have much money, and all his remaining money was spent on a magic camera.
Although Ginny was born into a pure-blood family, her father had long been expelled from the family for being close to Muggles and liking Muggle items. All the family expenses came from her father's salary from the Ministry of Magic.
With so many children going to school, and her brothers' Defense Against the Dark Arts textbooks being particularly expensive this year, even many of her school supplies were second-hand. How could she get any pocket money to buy snacks?
As for Luna, she has plenty of pocket money, but she doesn't seem to like snacks very much.
"One of each, please, thank you!"
George knew the situation of the little wizards, so he stood up and spent twelve silver Sickles and five bronze Knuts to order a portion of all the snacks and put them on the table.
"Ginny, I heard you just say that you know a poisonous spell called the Bat Curse. I wonder if you can teach me when you have time."
He pushed a quarter of the snack in front of Ginny, who nodded with bright eyes.
"Of course, that's my best spell. Even George and Fred have been hit by it before."
"Luna, I'd like to ask you some questions about magical animals."
George pushed another quarter of the snack toward Luna.
Luna smiled and nodded, but didn't refuse.
Finally, George threw away his own share and pushed the remaining quarter toward Colin.
"Can you take a magic photo for me when you have time? I want to keep it as a souvenir."
