Marvel's Magic Master

Chapter 36 Lockhart has three advantages

Chapter 36 Lockhart has three virtues
After the Transfiguration get out of class, he did not go to eat directly, but chased Professor McGonagall and asked her questions about Transfiguration for a full hour before leaving with a feeling of unsatisfied desire.

You have to know that every professor has to teach several grades and is very busy. If he doesn't find the right time to ask more questions, he may not be able to find the answers at other times.

In the afternoon, Defense Against the Dark Arts class.

Gilderoy Lockhart, wearing a lavender robe, walked into the classroom and stood on the podium.

"I am Gilderoy Lockhart, Third Class Order of Merlin, Honorary Member of the Dark Arts Defense League, and five-time winner of the Witch Weekly Most Charming Smile Award - but I don't talk about that. I didn't drive away the Wanlun ghost with a smile!"

The self-proclaimed humorous opening remarks made the boys in the classroom look at each other in bewilderment, but the girls really liked it and applauded excitedly.

"This guy is pretty good looking."

Looking at the wizard above who obtained a series of honors by cheating and deceiving others, George had to admit that the reason why he became so popular in the wizarding world and was sought after by witches of different ages was not just because of his good handwriting.

What's more important is his handsome looks and shameless personality.

However, even though this guy doesn't have much real talent, he is still quite useful to him.

Anyway, he concluded that Lockhart had three good qualities.

First, the credits are good. As long as the student's interest is met, he will give the students credits without hesitation, unlike other professors who worry too much.

The second reason is the power. Only professors can issue notes allowing students to go to the restricted area to get books. If you have a good relationship, you can get a note from Lockhart to go to the restricted area.

Third, the Oblivion Charm is good. This guy is a mess with other spells, but his Oblivion Charm is comparable to the level of top wizards. If he can learn the Oblivion Charm from Lockhart, it will be of great help to him in the Marvel world.

So he didn't plan to give up in this class.

“I see you all bought my complete set of books, that’s great.

Well, let’s take a little test today.

Don't be afraid - just see how well you read and how much you understand..."

After Lockhart introduced himself, he took out a stack of papers and distributed them to the little wizards in the classroom one by one.

"I'll give you thirty minutes. Now - start!"

George picked up the paper, saw that it was full of questions about Lockhart himself, and asked Marvel to quickly open the computer to check.

After Lockhart became the professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts, he replaced all the Defense Against the Dark Arts textbooks for grades one to seven with seven of his own books.

So George naturally bought it too. He also bought the Defense Against the Dark Arts textbook that first grades used in previous years - "The Dark Arts: A Guide to Self-Defense".

He had actually read all seven of Lockhart's books. After all, apart from the self-boasting content, many of the magical experiences were real experiences of some powerful wizards.

It's just that those experiences were plagiarized by Lockhart, and then he used the Forgetfulness Charm, which he was good at, to make those wizards forget them.

Half an hour later, Lockhart collected the papers and began to review them directly at the podium.

He didn't get many answers right on most of the papers, and even the little witches who liked him could only get half of them right at best, until he turned to George's paper.

"Oh, who is this? George, I know you. You said yesterday morning that you would win the house cup back for Slytherin. That's great, you are really great.

Not only does he know my favorite colors, he also knows what birthday gift I want most and my great and noble ambitions.

You actually answered all my questions correctly, 20 points, Slytherin plus 20 points!" While marking George's paper, Lockhart's smile never faded.

In the Defense Against the Dark Arts classes he had attended over the past two days, apart from a little girl named Hermione from the second year Gryffindor who answered most of the questions correctly, few of the others got more than half of the questions correct.

But now, there was actually a student who had answered all the questions correctly, and he was also a very famous Slytherin freshman in the past two days. How could he not feel extremely vain?

"Professor, I feel that there are many magical experiences in your book that are worth studying in depth, so I have read it over and over again, and it has been deeply imprinted in my mind."

George said, raising his hand.

This statement obviously won Lockhart's heart. He came to George with great satisfaction and laughed:

"Don't worry, as long as you work hard, with your magical talent that is almost as good as mine, you will be as successful as me one day in the future. I am very optimistic about you."

"Even if I succeed, I have to thank the professor for his teaching. I have always been a grateful person."

George showed a meaningful smile on his face. Lockhart's eyes suddenly lit up and he looked at George with even kinder eyes.

"Okay, next we will start reading my book "Traveling with Ghouls". This book has a lot of introductions about ghouls. I will ask questions randomly and give points to those who answer correctly."

And so, when the Defense Against the Dark Arts class was over, George got ten points for Slytherin again.

So far, in just two days, he alone has scored a full 90 points for Slytherin, putting Slytherin far ahead at the start.

Likewise, after class, he did not let Lockhart go.

"Professor, I have some questions about magic that I would like to ask you."

"No problem. Since we are of the same kind, I can spare some of my precious time after class to give you some private lessons."

Lockhart didn't refuse, but winked at George.

From George's actions yesterday morning and his current performance, he keenly realized that the other party was the same as himself, the kind of person who was obsessed with fame.

But he didn't hate George because George had shown that he would benefit from him.

The more famous George became, the more famous Lockhart became. What's more important is that he relied entirely on deception, but this George was obviously really talented.

Such potential stocks, like Harry, can be won over to one's side in advance.

"Professor, I am interested in the Oblivion Spell. I wonder if you can help me."

Seeing that Lockhart agreed, George didn't hesitate and went straight to the point.

Lockhart was a little guilty at first and was planning to fool George, but when he heard that he was asking for advice on the Oblivion Charm, the only spell he was good at, he immediately raised his chest and replied nonchalantly:

"It's just the Oblivion Charm, which is the spell I'm least good at. But it's still a little better than those guys in the Memory Cancellation Command of the Ministry of Magic."

The Ministry of Magic's Memory Destruction Command is under the Ministry of Magic's Magical Accidents and Catastrophes Department. Its main job is to use the Forget Charm to erase the memories of Muggles who have seen the existence of magic, and to use the Repair Charm to repair buildings damaged by magical battles.

Therefore, the wizards in this department are among the best masters of the Forgetfulness and Restoration spells in the wizarding world.
