Marvel's Magic Master

Chapter 905 The Hearing Explosion

Normally, even with great strength, it's impossible to hold up an out-of-control plane with your hands; that would only cause the plane to break apart.

Superman can hold up the plane because he has a biomagnetic field that allows the force to be evenly distributed across the plane.

George was able to hold up the plane because he possessed a unique inner strength and could precisely control the distribution of power across the aircraft.

As soon as the plane landed, before the police arrived, countless reporters swarmed around George like flies.

Their main concern wasn't that George saved the plane, because it wasn't the first time.

They were concerned about the recent rumors that Superman had killed a large number of villagers.

"Super Cat, what are your thoughts on what happened to Superman in the Middle East?"

"Meow, meow meow meow, meow meow meow meow."

Upon hearing this, George meowed repeatedly, seemingly answering the reporters' questions.

The reporters looked at each other blankly, suddenly realizing that they couldn't understand cat language at all, and that the interview was futile.

George shook his head, feigning helplessness, then kicked off and flew away.

He didn't reply using human language, which was intentional and also to avoid trouble.

He knew about that incident in the Middle East.

Louise travels to the Middle East as a journalist to interview local warlords, but is nearly killed by one because of a CIA agent lurking in her vicinity.

Superman rushed over and rescued Lois.

But George knew that the massacre of the warlords there was not done by Superman, but by a group of mercenaries hired by Luthor.

All of this was a scheme orchestrated by Luthor against Superman.

Luther's real name is Lex Luther. He is the chairman of the incredibly wealthy Lexcorp Corporation and one of the most intelligent humans on Earth.

He was jealous of Superman and Batman, so he plotted to provoke a conflict between the two, which led to the Batman vs. Superman battle.

Even without Lex Luthor, superheroes like Superman and Batman would still be controversial in human society.

There is no way around it.

Superman, in particular, possesses power that no human being on Earth can resist, and any person in power would feel uneasy about it.

Furthermore, most people are inherently ignorant and easily influenced by public opinion.

With just a little guidance, even the best person can be criticized to the point of being worthless.

But none of this mattered to George. He was just killing time here, and as long as the Supreme God didn't intervene, no one could threaten him.

So he simply brushed it off with cat language.

A week later, due to the influence of public opinion, the controversy surrounding Superman grew even stronger.

Some people believe that Superman is a god who saves humanity, and that humans should not use human laws to restrain a god, just as humans cannot control God.

However, some people believe that since Superman is on Earth, he should be subject to human laws and government regulations.

There are also many people spreading theories about the threat of superhumans.

However, most of this public opinion is directed at Superman, with relatively little talk about George.

Because in people's minds, George, as a cat, should be Superman's pet, so Superman is the one who should be primarily responsible.

Moreover, Supercat can't even speak human language, it can only meow, so it can't communicate and can't influence anything.

That night, Superman, somewhat bewildered, came to George's room.

"George, do you think I should go to the hearing tomorrow?"

Due to recent public opinion, the government held a hearing specifically for Superman, hoping he could explain the events in the Middle East and his attitude towards human laws.

Superman felt that he simply wanted to live with Lois and use his abilities to help those in need.

He didn't understand why so many people would slander and defame him.

Was it right for him not to stop General Zod and let Zod destroy the Earth?

"I think you already have the answer in your heart."

George opened his eyes and replied.

He could read Superman's mind; though there was confusion, there was also determination. "Yes, I think I should still go and tell them my stance!"

After hearing George's words, Superman was silent for five seconds, then nodded vigorously.

George scratched his beard with his paw:

"I'll go with you tomorrow!"

If he remembers correctly, this hearing was also part of Luthor's plot against Superman.

"Thank you!"

Superman's expression immediately relaxed a lot. With George around, he felt like he was no longer fighting alone.

George waved his cat paw:
"We are not from Earth, and we are in the same situation. Helping you is helping myself."

The following afternoon at 5 p.m., at the Capitol Building.

The massive crowd was kept outside the police cordon; most of them were fans of Superman Clark and Supercat George.

Despite public opinion guidance, Superman and Supercat continue to prevent disasters and save lives almost every day.

So currently, it seems that there are more people who support Superman and Supercat.

However, if Luther's plan succeeds this time, the tables will probably turn.

Aside from those they have actually saved, most people will no longer support them.

"Meow!"

After Superman landed, George, who was floating next to him, waved his cat paw at the crowd that had been intercepted, which immediately caused a burst of screams.

Then, the outcry for Superman and Supercat instantly filled the entire Capitol Building.

"Don't worry, there won't be any major problems at this hearing."

After using the cat's unique appearance to garner votes, George telepathically reassured Superman, who was feeling a bit nervous.

Superman puffed out his chest and strode into the Capitol Building with the police, arriving at the hearing room.

"First of all, I thank our witnesses for coming specifically to us."

The female senator, sitting on the bench, saw that Superman was obediently standing in his witness position. She took a deep breath and began her opening remarks.

For her, judging a superhero who saves humanity is no easy task.

She was initially opposed to Superman's existence, but later learned of his innocence, which caused her inner conflict.

Furthermore, Luther kept encouraging her, making her uncertain about whether she wanted to conduct this trial with a fair and impartial attitude.

Only by working together can we achieve our goals.

As she spoke, her pace suddenly slowed down.

Because she saw a sign on the cup to her right that read "Grandma's Peach Tea".

This slogan was exactly what she had said to Luther earlier. She told Luther that she wouldn't be fooled even if he called a bucket of urine "Grandma's Peach Tea".

During the hearing, Luther simply replaced his cup, which meant that some of the people at the hearing had already been taken control of by Luther.

Crucially, in a previous conversation, she had also said to Luther, "Use an assassination weapon as a deterrent."

Does Luther putting this sign on her cup mean he's planning to assassinate the entire hearing?

She hurriedly turned to look at Luther's seat, only to find that Luther himself was not sitting there at all, but had long since disappeared.

Her eyes were immediately filled with fear.

At this moment, Superman also noticed something was wrong. He turned his head to look at Luthor's seat and vaguely felt an abnormal vibration in the seat.

"boom!"

Just then, Luther's chair exploded.

Fortunately, half a second before the explosion began, George had already activated his Aries special move:
"Crystal Wall!"
