Chapter 136: I'll Miss You
After Wen Qi and Ji Xuan left, everyone in the president's office was still in a daze.

I belatedly discovered a fact that was just as shocking as Ji Xian's departure back then: President Wen and Secretary Ji got back together!

The two parties arrived at the parking lot and drove out of the garage. It was already completely dark, and the streetlights were just coming on.

"Are you hungry?" Wen Qi glanced at her several times. "There was a last-minute video conference around 4 p.m., which didn't end until 5:30 p.m.

"Fortunately, my colleague bought some tea and snacks this afternoon."

“I told Aunt Zhao yesterday that you were coming home for dinner today, and she was very happy and said she would make your favorite crab roe lion's head meatballs.”

Compared to before, the atmosphere is no longer as dull and boring when the two are sitting in the same car.

Ji Xian walked over with a smile, and as soon as he entered the house, he smelled the rich aroma of food.

Upon entering the restaurant and seeing the five dishes and soup on the table, the smile on her lips deepened. "Thank you for your hard work, Aunt Zhao."

Aunt Zhao greeted them, "It's no trouble at all, it's all my duty. Please wash your hands and eat."

The two took off their coats, washed their hands, and sat down at the dining table.

Halfway through the meal, Wen Qi suddenly remembered, "Do you have time this Saturday?"

“My mom knows we’ve gotten back together, and she wants me to bring you home for a meal.”

Ji Xian said seriously, "I was just about to tell you after dinner. I'm going on a business trip to England and France the day after tomorrow."

Wen Qi was taken aback, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes. "How long will you be away on business?"

"Starting from 20 days."

Wen Qi's breath hitched. They had only been back together for two or three days, and now they would be separated for more than three weeks, which, if you round it up, would be equivalent to a month.

He remained silent for a long time before slowly replying, "Okay."

Even though it was just one word, Ji Xian could tell it was forced.

Wen Qi's expression was not different, and he ate at the same frequency as before, but the atmosphere at the dinner table was inexplicably much quieter than before.

Ji Xian picked up a piece of sweet and sour pork for him, "Try this."

Sweet and sour foods are not something Wen Qi usually likes, but they are Ji Xian's favorite.

Wen Qi was surprised, but when he met her smiling eyes, he knew she was doing it on purpose. Without hesitation, he picked it up and put it in his mouth to chew. "It's okay, the sweet and sour taste isn't too strong."

Ji Xian only meant to tease him, but he didn't expect him to actually eat it.

After dinner, Aunt Zhao served herbal tea and fruit. After sitting in the living room for about ten or twenty minutes, Wen Qi asked her, "Would you like to go to the study to take a look?"

This is one of the photos he officially announced last night.

Ji Xuan didn't think this photo was the best. She picked up her phone and pointed it at him, "Why did you choose this one?"

A really straightforward and simple reason.

But she also noticed that ever since she told him she was going on a business trip the day after tomorrow, his lips were mostly pursed into a straight line, and he seemed somewhat distracted while reading.

After thinking for a moment, she took the initiative to say, "My flight is at 9:30 a.m. the day after tomorrow. Would you like to come and see me off?"

He admitted directly, "Yes, I can't bear to part with you."

Feeling her reciprocation, Wen Qi could no longer resist. He lowered his head and kissed her, holding her tightly and savoring her sweetness.

Ji Xian gradually couldn't withstand his attacks, her body slowly went limp and she fell backward. Wen Qi's breathing became heavy, and his kisses became even more intense.

After a while, his movements softened, and he repeatedly licked her lips, his voice hoarse, "I know it's your job, so I won't stop you, but I don't want to hide my thoughts either."

Wen Qi gazed deeply at her, then covered her again, deepening the kiss.

Just as things were about to get out of control, he restrained himself and stopped, pulling away from her lips, his hot breath burning her earlobe.

He gently pecked her earlobe and murmured, "When you come back, I'll take you to the place we talked about last time."

Her husky voice carried a hint of sexiness and allure. Ji Xuan bit her lip, trying to remain rational. "I finish work early tomorrow afternoon. If you have time, let's go back to the old house together?"

Wen Qi raised his face, his gaze becoming even more clouded and somber. "Alright. Is there anything else you want to say?"

Ji Xian hadn't reapplied her lipstick after dinner, and after that kiss, there was practically none left.

She slowly leaned close to his ear, her pink lips whispering softly, "I'll miss you while I'm abroad."
