Chapter 30: The Demonic Army

Chapter 30: The Demonic Army (Revised)

In the old world’s cognition, the world seems to be always in a chaotic battle.

Every population, every country, and every individual seems to have its own eternal enemy and eternal war waiting for it.

In every corner of history, every race has written down the countless crimes committed by all other races against it. Massacres, conspiracies, and betrayals have been staged one after another in the dark old world.

The people living in this world are immersed in this eternal struggle. They will not look at the outside world for long, because those who have the courage and perseverance to leave the old world have already taken root in other continents and regions and will never come back.

But to the people of the old world, the country outside the territory seemed so weak and cruel.

That tenderness weakens the justice of hatred and revenge, and that ideal is the most unacceptable betrayal of one's own blood debt and pain.

Therefore, every person in the Old World is filled with unwarranted anger, hatred, vigilance, and the determination to kill the outside world. Compared with other regions, the struggles in the Old World are often accompanied by massacres and the destruction of the entire region.

Whether it is chaos or the so-called order, what they do is similar.

Destroy a city, tamper with a history book, and let all the past greatness be buried in the dust. Only the broken walls and some sporadic sneaky legends record that the world cycle has been repeated again and again.

The knights of Bretonnia are also one of them. They believe in justice and honor, and morality illuminates the entire old world like a star in the dark night. But at the same time, under the honor of Bretonnia are the blood, tears and suffering of countless serfs.

But so what? For the serfs, it was enough to have the knights to ensure their safety.

Otherwise, these powerless civilians will just die.

A sad, meaningless death.

Like a stink bug or some maggot, it died whimpering anywhere.

That's why knights appear, that's why knights enjoy the best food, the best education, the most perfect armor, and then fight against the most evil enemies.

The knights of Bretonnia believe that they will not feel fear when facing any powerful enemy. Just as their legend says, under the light of the goddess's holy grail, all the knights will polish their armor and carry out their chivalry in the final battle.

At the edge of this world, they finally realized the nature of what they were fighting against.

"I see... This is the real enemy... This is the first time I've seen such a scene..."

After pulling off the veil from his face, a knight looked at the distant scenery with a dull look.

Under Leon's command, countless knights gathered on the hillside, overlooking the distorted scenery below.

Amid the huge wounds caused by the Stonehenge and the roar of magic manipulation, the knights vaguely saw the boundless demon army covering the snowfield through the distorted light curtain.

These demons roared, twisted, and continuously attacked the invisible barrier. They charged fearlessly at the edge of the Stonehenge's coverage, and then twisted into dust in the rules of reality and dissipated into the air.

They're almost there.

The twisted will of the demon of death made the flames in the chaos more solid.

Those sinful creatures roared, looked at the knights eagerly, and issued threatening roars.

Only in a magical environment and with the use of special rituals can demons appear in the real world without scruples. Another method is to completely distort the real space. Now, the huge Stonehenge has torn the real and illusory space apart, and the huge will has twisted the snowfield where demons are rampant into a hot land. And the monsters are now repeating this distortion process with their existence.

They were almost adapting to the rules of Stonehenge.

Although the environment still seemed cold, there was no doubt that this was a habitable land. The knights stepped on the hillside covered with black soil, overlooking the boundless demon army, feeling the fear and excitement overflowing from their bodies.

But at this moment, a deafening laugh suddenly came from the demon army.

"Hahaha! The knights of Bretonnia!"

An unimaginably huge red demon rushed over, pushing away all the surrounding demons. It looked at the knights with its burning pupils and let out a blasphemous roar.

"I have seen you! It was such a refreshing slaughter! Why are you hiding behind this barrier! Why don't you dare to face me like you did before! Face your death! Face me, the great Knight's Scourge!"

"...Humph, a clown's trick."

The leader of the Falcon Knights looked at the demon army at the foot of the hill with a look of disdain on his face.

After taking one look at the unimaginably tall demon, and then at the attitude that dared not to go beyond the line, the knights knew clearly.

The demon was extremely cunning and wanted to trick them into performing a miracle so that he could kill them all.

As if because its plan was seen through, the angry red devil roared angrily on the other side of the world full of natural elements, smashing the ground full of magma and blizzard into pieces.

"I swear I will kill you! Little bugs! I will kill you! As long as I can get behind this curtain! This damn reality barrier blocks everything!"

"Come here! Come here! Let me kill you all! Didn't you hear me!!!"

"Come out and face me!"

"..."

The knights looked down at the demons below, unmoved.

However, it is probably only a matter of time before these demonic armies enter the area covered by Stonehenge.

With those constantly attacking demon servants, the scales covering their bodies looked more and more real, and the spraying flames and the breath of sin seemed to be very close.

It didn't take long for these demons to use the reality distortion brought about by the death of their companions to finally walk into the interior of Stonehenge. Just one look at them showed that those demons probably wouldn't regard them as any difficult opponents.

But will the goddess's knights give up?
The Holy Grail is here, they are here.

How can these demons compete with those blessed ones?
This is just a step on their road to glory, a link that glorifies them.

"My fellow knights, please listen to me."

Driving his steed, the leader of the Falcon Knights held high the shining Holy Grail in his hand, walked in front of everyone, and spoke loudly.
