Chapter 79: Going to college? A-Zu: What the hell
Wayne Manor.

Bruce stood at the door, hesitating and not daring to enter.

He took a last look at Peter, who was standing behind him and looking at him encouragingly, and then he uneasily pressed the doorbell.

After the doorbell rang, Alfred opened the door and walked out of the room.

After seeing Bruce standing outside the door, their eyes met. Alfred walked forward quickly with a flash of surprise in his eyes, "Bruce!"

Bruce looked at Alfred helplessly.

He knew there might be another Bruce in the manor now, and he was unsure if the butler could recognize him.

Before Bruce could finish his thoughts, Alfred excitedly held his hand and said, "Great, Master Bruce, you are finally back."

Bruce stared at his butler in a daze and asked stutteringly, "Alfred, do you know about the fake Bruce?"

"Yes, I understand. Even though he is disguised to be very similar to you, he will eventually be exposed. The previous call from Metropolis was from you, right, Master Bruce?"

"Yes."

Bruce held the butler's hand, feeling the long-lost familiar breath, and mixed emotions surged in his heart.

After a while, he raised his head and asked the other party, "Where is the fake Bruce now? Alfred."

"He has already run away."

Alfred said with some regret.

After saying a few words about the fake Bruce, he asked about Bruce's experiences these days.

"Mr. Padraic sent me."

Bruce said as he pointed his finger at Peter, only to find that he had disappeared.

The spot where Peter had been standing was empty.

The slender and fragile pine needles whispered in the wind, and the dark shadows of the trees swayed, as if Peter would walk out of the shadows and greet the two of them in the next second.

But Bruce knew that Peter might never come out of that shadow.

"I"

He took a deep breath and said to Alfred, "I have been in the metropolis these days. I know a gentleman who has been taking care of me."

Alfred asked curiously, "Who?"

"Mr. Peter Padrick."

Bruce suddenly looked relaxed and asked the butler, "Alfred, I remember a uniform I had customized for a winter suit on Christmas. It was made of space material and had a small gold badge on the chest. Maybe I could change it to a bat logo."

Alfred looked at him in confusion. "The uniform is still there, sir. What do you want to do with it?"

"I want to be like Mr. Patrick, the embodiment of the terror of the night."

Bruce looked at the street outside. "The riots outside haven't stopped yet, Alfred. We can do our part to prevent those bad things from happening."

"You'll support me, won't you?"

Alfred stared at Bruce in a daze, and for a moment, he suddenly felt that the young master had grown up.

He nodded, "Of course, Master."

The next day.

As the wildfire was gradually extinguished, the fire alarm in Smallwell was also lifted.

Peter and Jonathan's family drove back to the farm.

Padraic Farm.

“Life is like rolling the dice.”

A-Zu suddenly sighed.

Clark, who was helping to organize farm tools, didn't react for a moment and looked at him in confusion.

"Are you tired, John?"

"No, I just didn't expect that we would be able to come back so soon and the farm wouldn't be destroyed by the wildfire."

A-Zu put the pitchfork aside and said happily, "When I come of age, I will be able to smoothly inherit my father's farm."

"Don't you want to go to college?" Clark asked puzzledly.

"No, I don't want to."

"But the godfather said we'd all go to college."

Azu disagreed, "Bruce didn't go to school."

“He’s special.”

"Special? He's just richer. If it weren't for his father, he would have been abducted by those human traffickers long ago."

Clark was curious about the conflict between Zu and Bruce, "Do you hate Bruce, John?"

"Yes, I believe he hates me too."

A-Zu said nonchalantly, "He may be secretly planning how to deal with me, or thinking about what use my head can be put to in the future. It would be nice to make a skull candy dish, or a lamp."

Clark was stunned by A-Zu's outrageous statement.

What horror movie has A-Zu watched recently? He can even think of making a skull fruit plate with a skull!
Azu didn't notice Clark's expression and continued:

"Have you ever seen the Day of the Dead in Mexico? Clark, those colorfully decorated altars - bananas, pan de muertos, marigolds, mangoes, red ribbons, yellow ribbons."

"But the most impressive thing is the unique skull candies: the skulls are made of hard meringue, symbolizing death, and are decorated with various candies and snacks in the shape of eyes and mouths. They must taste delicious. I have to ask my dad to buy some for me."

Clark was stunned by the terrifying scenes of the Day of the Dead described by Zu.

Worried, he felt he had to tell his godfather about Zu's obsession with skeletons from the Mexican Day of the Dead.

evening.

Peter is in the living room talking to Martian Manhunter.

Martian Manhunter did not return to Smallville now, but continued to stay in Metropolis and created an orphanage according to Peter's instructions.

According to Peter's plan, the homeless children in Metropolis who helped Bruce and the Fire Man who escaped from the Owl Lab were all placed in an orphanage.

He did not suddenly become kind-hearted, but was considering future plans.

The Fire Man, whose memory was sealed by the Martian Hunter and who returned to normal, was a safety measure he set up. Who knows, he might be useful somewhere in the future.

After hanging up the phone, the doorbell rang.

Peter opened the door and saw a FedEx man standing outside.

"Mr. Padraic?"

"Yes."

"Here is a copy of your express delivery, please sign for it."

After taking the package from the courier in surprise, Peter went upstairs and opened it.

The package was sent from Gotham. In addition to a check for twenty thousand dollars, it also contained a document for the transfer of ownership of the Metropolitan Bar, with his name written in the holder column.

“It’s very fast.”

After complaining about Bruce's quick movements, Peter was about to put the package away, but he didn't expect that there was something else inside.

With a "click", the watch with its simple and elegant design and shining case fell out.

Peter picked up the watch and looked at the fine patterns on it.

He didn't expect that Bruce still insisted on giving the watch to him.

Shaking his head, he looked at the system watch on his wrist.

Unfortunately, the watch given to me by the system cannot be taken off.

So now the watch Bruce gave me can only be used as a collection for the time being.

He stretched out his arm and looked at the hands of the system watch on his wrist.

The pointer moves forward slowly and is about to reach the end.

Does this mean that the second baby is about to be born?
He stood up thoughtfully and looked up at the darkening sky outside the window.
