Chapter 286: Stop pretending, let’s show off

Bruce Wayne drove back to Wayne Manor and just as he stepped through the gate, perhaps due to psychological effects, Bruce Wayne always felt something was wrong. The servants' eyes seemed to be following him quietly, and every time he turned around and looked at them, the servants' eyes seemed quite normal.

However, all this not only did not make Bruce angry, but made him extremely excited. Bruce felt his heartbeat speed up and his blood boiled in his body.

Bruce enjoyed this feeling immensely, this dangerous and exciting emotion. He knew that Selina and Xiao Xian's relationship was no longer a secret between the three of them, but was gradually spreading to the entire manor. This public relationship was exactly the extreme excitement Bruce desired.

But Bruce quickly remembered that every servant in Wayne Manor had signed a strict confidentiality agreement.

With the protection of these agreements, unless it is a criminal case and someone with a strong sense of justice becomes the messenger of justice, no one with a normal mind will spread the privacy of Wayne Manor.

Bruce felt relieved when he thought of this. After all, with the guarantee of these agreements, the relationship between Selina and Xiao Xian would not be easily leaked. The servants all understood that any act of leaking the news would bring serious consequences.

However, along with this peace of mind came a slight disappointment. Bruce realized that, because of these agreements, the servants might talk about it in the manor, but they would never spread it outside the manor.

This means that although Selina and Xiao Xian's relationship has become open and transparent within the manor, it is ultimately limited to this small range.

What's more, even within this small range, the news might not have spread widely. After all, few servants in Wayne Manor had the courage to stare at Bruce Wayne's bedroom window.

Bruce sat in his office, thinking about many things. Bruce decided to learn more about the movements in the manor. He dialed the internal phone, and soon after, Harley Quinn walked in.

"Eucliwood," Bruce began, a hint of anticipation in his tone, "Are there any rumors about Abin and Selina's relationship in the manor recently?"

Harry frowned and shook his head in confusion: "I haven't heard of it, Mr. Wayne."

Bruce leaned back in his chair with some disappointment when he heard this and sighed softly. Harley noticed his mood change, raised her eyebrows, and said jokingly, "Do you want me to spread the word?"

Bruce paused for a moment, thought for a while and shook his head, "Of course not."

Bruce then continued, "So how do Abin and Selina usually clean up the battlefield after playing cards?"

Harley replied: "Sometimes they clean up after themselves, and sometimes I help."

Bruce thought for a moment, looked at Harley, and said slowly: "Next time they ask you to clean up, don't do it. Let the maids handle it."

A hint of surprise flashed across Harry's eyes, and then she revealed a sly smile: "Then do you want to silence him after you're done cleaning him up?"

The question was not meant to force me to say something I didn't want to say. Bruce glared at Harry with some dissatisfaction: "No need."

Harley nodded to show that she understood, then picked up the phone and said with a smile: "What a coincidence, the two of them are calling me to clean up now."

Bruce smiled and nodded, "Let the other maids go. By the way, where did they play cards?"

Harry glanced at his phone and replied, "In your office, on your desk, office chair, and dining table."

Bruce's mouth twitched slightly after hearing this. Good fellow, these are all places that are usually inconvenient, and they took advantage of me to check in like crazy, right? In addition, Bruce will find it difficult to look directly at the table when he eats in the future.

Bruce couldn't help but ask, "Why is there a dining table? Isn't there a lot of people coming and going there?"

Harley shrugged with a helpless expression: "Selina is the mistress of the manor. It's easy for her to clear an area and not let the servants enter."

Bruce shook his head, feeling somewhat helpless, but more of a secret excitement.

"Okay," Bruce said, "then do as I say and let the maids take care of it."

Soon, the news that Bruce was away for the whole afternoon and there were "traces of fighting" everywhere in the office and other places spread among the servants of the manor. The servants' whispers spread quickly in the manor and became a hot topic for everyone after dinner.

The next night, when Bruce returned to Wayne Manor tired but excited after a day's work, the atmosphere in the manor became a little unusual. Even the lowest-ranking servants in the manor looked at Bruce with a noticeable change in their eyes. Bruce could see many people whispering along the way, and when he looked over, these servants quickly stopped talking and bowed their heads in a hurry.

Bruce was not angry about this, but enjoyed it. He felt very happy and walked more lightly. The servants' eyes and whispers gave him a strange excitement.

Bruce knew that most of the discussions revolved around the relationship between Selina and Xiao Xian. Every whisper and every glance added to his pleasure. The excitement brought by this open secret was exactly what he craved.

Bruce walked into the hall and saw several servants cleaning. When they saw Bruce coming in, they immediately stopped their work and saluted respectfully, but the complex emotions in their eyes did not escape Bruce's eyes. Bruce smiled slightly and nodded to signal them to continue, and the sense of satisfaction in his heart became stronger.

In the corridor, a maid saw Bruce coming with a happy face, so she hurried forward and whispered to Bruce mysteriously: "Mr. Wayne, I must tell you something. There is an improper relationship between Abin and Lady Selina."

Bruce frowned slightly, but he felt a surge of excitement in his heart. He looked at the maid with a serious look and said coldly, "Don't spread these outrageous rumors." There was a hint of warning and dissatisfaction in Bruce's tone.

The maid was frightened by Bruce's reaction and lowered her head, her voice trembling: "But, sir, I saw them with my own eyes--"

Bruce interrupted her, speaking in a more severe tone: "I said, stop spreading these unfounded rumors. If you do this, you will only destroy the harmony of the manor."

The maid turned pale and nodded hurriedly: "I'm sorry, sir, I know I was wrong."

Bruce stared at her coldly and continued, "Your bonus for this month is gone. Don't let me hear similar remarks again."

The maid replied in a low voice: "Yes, sir." Then she hurried away, not daring to say anything more.

After scolding the maid, Bruce Wayne hummed a song on purpose and walked slowly towards his bedroom. Every step he took was slow and leisurely, giving the people inside enough time to react.

However, the moment he opened the door, Bruce Wayne was slightly stunned by what he saw. Xiao Xian was still sitting carelessly in his usual seat, while Selina was squatting in front of Xiao Xian, busy with something.

Seeing Bruce coming back, Selina slowly stood up and said to Bruce calmly, "Honey, you're back."
