Chapter 25 is not for you

When Xia Xing received the news and rushed over from home, he saw Nan Yu with blood on her hands, calmly telling the police, "They're the ones who wanted to kill me."

He looked in that direction and was immediately stunned.

Nine burly men lay severely injured in the alley, while another burly man crouched in a corner, trembling with fear.

On the outermost edge was a skinny man, as thin as a bamboo pole, covered in blood, sitting immobile against the wall.

His face was contorted with rage, as if he wanted to tear Nan Yu apart alive. He kept saying, "Nan Yu, I won't let you go. You just wait."

Nan Yu sighed and said to the police with an innocent look, "Look, he still wants to kill me."

The police officer standing nearby paused for two seconds before saying, "We have a general understanding of the situation. If you have any further questions or need more information, we will contact you again."

Xia Xing snapped out of his daze, concealing his complicated expression, and quickly stepped forward. "Hello, officer, I'm Miss Nan's assistant, and this is her lawyer, Attorney Sun Lu."

He then pointed to the woman behind him wearing black-rimmed glasses, "She will be in full charge of this case from now on. She will negotiate with you, and we will fully cooperate if needed."

Sun Lu handed her business card to the police officer and then nodded to Nan Yu.

Nan Yu raised an eyebrow, looking at the two people with surprise.

After getting into the car, she finally spoke up, "Assistant Xia, what brings you here?"

Xia Xing explained, "The police called Mr. Huo's office, and I answered the phone. After I told Mr. Huo, he told me to come over immediately to handle it."

As he finished speaking, he glanced at Nan Yu's pale face through the rearview mirror and asked, "Miss Nan, are you alright?"

Nan Yu covered the gruesome wound on her arm and said calmly, "It's nothing."

Remembering that Sun Lu was going to the police station to continue dealing with the matter, she said, "Assistant Xia, I can handle this myself, so there's no need to trouble Attorney Sun. Please let her go back."

Xia Xing drove without answering until they arrived at the hospital, before getting out of the car, at which point he finally spoke.
