The will of Guanyin Bodhisattva was conveyed to Lin Nan through Zhen Yuanzi. In those words, there was an unquestionable seriousness, warning Lin Nan not to attack the four people from the Journey to the West. Otherwise, the Buddhist sect might really start a war, and it would be an irreparable loss of face.

Hearing this, Lin Nan nodded slightly, his expression solemn. "I understand." His voice was light, but firm.

However, Zhen Yuanzi did not give up and continued to persuade Lin Nan. He knew that Lin Nan was a man of integrity, but this matter was too important for Buddhism and could not afford any mistakes.

"The others are fine, but these four people on the journey to the West must not be touched at all." Zhen Yuanzi's tone was full of helplessness and worry.

Lin Nan nodded again to show his understanding.

"I understand." He said in a deep voice.

But then he added: "However, this is not my problem, nor is it Sha Seng's problem, but a problem of Buddhism."

His eyes were deep, as if he could see through all illusions.

"If anything happens along the way, Buddhism is the root cause. I know this very well."

Zhen Yuanzi sighed, he understood Lin Nan's stubbornness. So, he changed his way of speaking: "Lin Nan, you know that Buddhism will flourish in this era. This is destiny, and even the power of immortals and gods cannot change it."

Lin Nan shook his head, with a determined light in his eyes.

"The power of immortals and gods cannot be changed, but human power can. Whether it is Buddhism or Taoism, they are ultimately rooted in the human race. With human power, it is entirely possible to decide whether Buddhism or Taoism will flourish."

His words were full of hope and confidence for the future. As he spoke, he looked slightly towards the east, which was the direction of the human world.

"It's just that the contemporary emperor is ignorant and thinks that the resentment in the world can be resolved by Buddhist scriptures alone, but he doesn't think about changing it from the root. But I, Lin Nan, will eventually change all this starting from Che Chi."

Zhen Yuanzi couldn't help but feel admiration when he heard this. He didn't say anything more, but just patted Lin Nan's shoulder gently to show encouragement.

Afterwards, the two discussed some issues related to spiritual practice.

Lin Nan asked humbly, and Zhen Yuanzi answered patiently.

After a conversation, Lin Nan said goodbye and left, embarking on the journey back to Chechi Kingdom.

He used the space method he learned from Zhuang Zhou's gift, and his figure flashed and disappeared from the spot, leaving only a faint afterimage that slowly dissipated on the spot.

A moment later, Lin Nan appeared in the Jiuji Mountain of Chechi Country. He originally thought that the three great immortals, Tiger Power, Deer Power, and Sheep Power, should all be practicing in seclusion.

However, when he arrived here, he found that the three immortals had already come out.

However, the way they left the country was somewhat strange.

It was not voluntary for them to leave the country, but seemed that they were forced to do so by some external force.

At this moment, they were standing outside the Sanqing Temple, waiting for Lin Nan's return with serious expressions.

Besides them, there was another voice echoing in the air. The voice was low and hoarse, as if it came from a distant shore.

"Hmm?" Lin Nan frowned and appeared from the air.

His appearance startled the three immortals.

They stared with wide eyes, looking at Lin Nan as if he had suddenly appeared in an instant.

"Fellow Daoist Lin Nan, how did you show up?" Hu Li Daxian couldn't help but ask. His tone was full of shock and confusion.

Lin Nan smiled and explained, "This is the method of Zhuang Zhou dreaming of a butterfly. Just now, I was both in the world and free from it. Once I stop practicing, I will naturally appear."

The three immortals suddenly understood what was going on when they heard this. They looked at Lin Nan with eyes full of admiration and envy.

Only then did they notice another figure beside Lin Nan.

"Fellow Daoist Lin Nan, this is the Great Sage Equaling Heaven, Sun Wukong!" Immortal Lu Li hurriedly introduced him, his tone full of respect and awe.

Hearing this, Lin Nan couldn't help but look at the "Sun Wukong" standing next to the three immortals. He saw that he was exactly the same as the Sun Wukong he had seen two days ago, both in appearance and temperament.

A golden light flashed in his eyes, and he quietly used his golden eyes to take a look.

However, after taking a quick look, he discovered something was wrong.

"Great Master, we meet again." The "Sun Wukong" said with a smile. His tone was full of casualness and intimacy, as if he and Lin Nan were old friends who had not seen each other for many years.

However, Lin Nan was not fooled by his words. He shook his head slowly, and said to the "Sun Wukong" in front of him: "No, you are not Sun Wukong, not the Great Sage Equaling Heaven."

When these words came out, the three great immortals were stunned for a moment, and then showed an expression of disbelief. The great immortal Hu Li couldn't help but say, "The Great Sage had fought with us before, and we saw his seventy-two transformations and other magical powers. How could it not be him?"

Deer Power Immortal and Sheep Power Immortal also echoed: "Yes, he also mentioned the incident of the havoc in the Heavenly Palace in the past. How could this be false?"

Lin Nan ignored the words and thoughts of the three immortals, and continued to stare closely at the "Sun Wukong" in front of him. His eyes were deep and firm, as if he could see through all illusions.

"In this world, Sun Wukong is not the only one who knows and can use these magical powers."

Lin Nan slowly said, "There is another person in this world who has the magical powers of Sun Wukong and even looks like Sun Wukong, which is difficult for ordinary divine eyes to distinguish." "What did you say?" The "Sun Wukong" heard this and couldn't help but ask back, "Who in this world can look like me, have the same magical powers, and even know everything about me as the Great Sage?"

Lin Nan did not directly answer his question, but continued: "There are five immortals in the Zhoutian, namely heaven, earth, man, gods and ghosts; there are also five insects, namely Yinglin, Mao, Yukun. However, outside of these ten categories, there are four monkeys in the world, unknown to the world."

His words were full of mystery and depth, as if he was telling an ancient legend.

"One of them is the Spiritual Stone Monkey, who is good at transformation, knows the weather, knows the terrain, and can move the stars and change the constellations; the second is the Red-butted Horse Monkey, who knows the yin and yang, understands human affairs, is good at going in and out, and can avoid death and prolong life; the third is the Tongbi Ape Monkey, who can hold the sun and the moon, shrink thousands of mountains, distinguish good and bad, and manipulate the universe; the fourth is the Six-eared Macaque, who is good at listening, can observe the principles, know the past and the future, and understands everything."

"The Four Mischievous Monkeys?" The three immortals including Huli Daxian murmured to themselves. It was the first time they heard of such a secret, and their hearts were filled with curiosity and doubts.

However, they were still somewhat puzzled: "But what does this have to do with the Monkey King?"

Hearing this, Lin Nan slowly explained, "When the Great Sage Equaling Heaven was born, he was born from the explosion of a fairy stone. He was originally the Spiritual Stone Monkey among the Four Monkeys, so he had extraordinary talent, which led to his later achievements."

At this point, he changed the subject, "But apart from the Great Sage Equaling Heaven, Sun Wukong, the stone monkey, the other three monkeys are also very extraordinary. Especially the six-eared macaque, he is good at listening, can observe reason, know the past and the future, and understand everything. He was born with six ears, which can hear the heaven above and the underworld below. He is much more powerful than the wind-hearing monkey in heaven."

"Therefore, for him, as long as he wants to listen, there are not many things in the three realms that can be hidden from him." Lin Nan continued, "He can learn magical powers through listening and his own talents to know anything in this world."

At this point, the three great immortals all reacted. They stared at Lin Nan with eyes wide open, filled with shock and disbelief.

It turns out that the "Sun Wukong" in front of him was not the real Monkey King, but the Six-Eared Macaque among the Four Mischievous Monkeys!
Their eyes were all focused on the other "Sun Wukong", with expressions of disbelief in their eyes.

"Could it be..." Before he could finish his words, his suspicion was revealed.

At this moment, the expression of "Sun Wukong" was no longer the playful one before, but was replaced by calm and composed.

Lin Nan spoke slowly, his voice firm and powerful: "Therefore, if there is anyone in this world who can possess magical powers comparable to Sun Wukong, and even know everything about the Monkey King, and can perfectly impersonate him, it must be the Six-Eared Macaque."

"Sun Wukong" - or the being who was now identified as the Six-Eared Macaque, calmly asked: "Why did the Six-Eared Macaque pretend to be me?"

Lin Nan smiled and explained, "Perhaps it's because of the imbalance in your heart. Six-eared Macaque, you are also one of the four mischievous monkeys, but you saw the Spiritual Stone Monkey Sun Wukong get such an opportunity and achieve enlightenment. But you often hear the words 'the Dharma is not passed on to Six-eared', so naturally you will feel dissatisfied and unwilling in your heart."

As he spoke, Lin Nan stared at "Sun Wukong" and asked, "Am I right, Six-eared Macaque?"

Upon hearing this, the "Sun Wukong"'s expression changed slightly, but he did not make any further excuses. He just asked back, "How did you know my identity? And why do you know so much?"

Lin Nan smiled softly and said, "Although your true appearance is the same as Sun Wukong, there are still differences in details. For example, your ears, although similar to Sun Wukong's, are also slightly different. In addition, you have cultivated the 72 Earthly Evil Transformations, and your transformation skills are so perfect that many immortals in the sky can hardly distinguish the real from the fake. But I can still see some clues here."

"As for why I know about you..." Lin Nan paused and continued, "There are no absolute secrets in this world. Even if you think that no one knows about your existence and no one in the Three Realms can see through your disguise, that is just your wishful thinking. I am definitely not the only one who can see through your identity."

After Lin Nan finished speaking, the six-eared macaque suddenly laughed, with a hint of admiration in his voice: "Well, you are indeed worthy of being the great master who defeated Sun Wukong. You really have some skills."

As he spoke, the six-eared macaque stopped pretending, held his head high, and said proudly, "From the beginning, I was dissatisfied with Sun Wukong. He had the protection of his master and cultivated magical powers. As for me, I was born and raised without a master, but I also cultivated magical powers similar to his."

"He made a big fuss in the Heavenly Palace, ate the peaches, swallowed the golden elixir, and tempered himself in the Eight Trigrams Furnace, only then did he develop an indestructible body and flaming eyes. And I, through my own practice, have also developed these magical powers." The six-eared macaque's tone was full of pride. "In terms of talent and strength, I am not inferior to him. I have always wanted to find an opportunity to prove this point."

Lin Nan suddenly interrupted and asked, "So your original plan was to sneak into the group of people seeking scriptures, replace Sun Wukong, and escort Tang Sanzang to the West to obtain scriptures?"

As soon as these words came out, the six-eared macaque was immediately shocked: "How did you know?"

Lin Nan smiled coldly: "If you really do that, you will only end up dead. Sun Wukong may be no match for you, but the Bodhisattva Buddha in the West will not allow you to fish in troubled waters like this."

Hearing this, the six-eared macaque was silent for a moment, and kept Lin Nan's words in mind. Then, he asked, "Now, you have given me another chance to come to you. Is it because you have defeated Sun Wukong in a duel?"

"That's right." Lin Nan nodded. "Since I can defeat Sun Wukong, I am definitely stronger than him. And I think if you can defeat me, it will prove that you are stronger than Sun Wukong."

"So that's what you were thinking." The six-eared macaque laughed, "But since Sun Wukong was defeated by you, why do I think I can defeat you?"

Lin Nan looked around and said with a smile: "This is Chechi, the location of the Dao Court I established. I can use the power of the Dao Court to become even stronger. Do you think you can beat me here?"

"Whether I can win or not, I have to try to know." The six-eared macaque said proudly, "I just want to prove that I am much stronger than Sun Wukong."

Lin Nan waved his hand and said with a smile: "Your strength may be comparable to Sun Wukong's, but it is not much stronger. Moreover, Sun Wukong has the blessing of Buddhism and is secretly taken care of by Buddha and Bodhisattva. If you conflict with him, your end will not be good."

"If you don't believe me, why don't you go find Sun Wukong and try. Wouldn't that be more intuitive than fighting me?" Lin Nan continued.

However, the six-eared macaque shook his head and stared at Lin Nan firmly: "If it was before, I might have really thought so. But now, after listening to the words of the great master, I have other ideas."

As he spoke, a light flashed in the eyes of the six-eared macaque: "I would like to ask the great master to teach me how to defeat Sun Wukong?"

Lin Nan was a little surprised when he heard this, but then he praised: "You are quite clever. However, there is a way to defeat Sun Wukong."

Lin Nan pondered for a moment and continued, "The value of you, the Six-Eared Macaque, does not necessarily have to be reflected in Sun Wukong. What you lack is just a sense of identity. And you can get this sense of identity from other places."

"Moreover, you have to understand what you really want in your heart. Is it to defeat Sun Wukong, or to gain recognition?" Lin Nan's words were like the morning bell and evening drum, causing Liu'er Macaque to fall into deep thought.

Lin Nan seized the opportunity and led the three immortals and the six-eared macaque into the Sanqing Temple. This quiet place was just right for the six-eared macaque to think quietly. Afterwards, Lin Nan stayed in the Sanqing Temple for three days.

And the six-eared macaque seemed to have some enlightenment in his heart during these three days. Lin Nan's powerful words, like the morning bell and evening drum, caused ripples in his heart. Now, he had some answers in his heart, so he looked for Lin Nan again. (End of this chapter)
