Lin Nan nodded slightly, indicating that he already knew. He then ordered the Six-Eared Macaque, "Six-Eared, clean up this Lion Camel Ridge."

"Yes!" After receiving the order, Liu Er Mihou immediately took action. He was agile and quick, and soon cleared out all the monsters on Lion Camel Ridge.

Lin Nan turned around and looked at the three immortals and other Taoists, and said gratefully: "Thank you all for your help this time."

"Master, you are in trouble. We didn't do anything, so the Buddha retreated on his own." Yin Xi shook his head, his long eyebrows trembling slightly, and said modestly.

Lin Nan didn't say anything more, but he had already remembered all these favors in his heart. He knew very well that this breakthrough was possible only with the support and help of everyone.

Afterwards, Lin Nan said to everyone, "I have gained a little in cultivation this time. Before that, I was in the Holy Land of Shangqing and received some teachings from Lingbao Tianzun. After returning today, I will discuss Taoism with you fellow Taoists in Jiuji Hall."

Hearing this, many Taoists showed surprise. They knew that Lin Nan's attainments in cultivation had already surpassed them by a lot. Now that Lin Nan was willing to discuss Taoism with them, it was undoubtedly a rare learning opportunity. They expressed their gratitude and looked forward to discussing Taoism with Lin Nan.

Not long after, Lin Nan rode the dragon again and returned directly to Chechi Kingdom.

At this time, the tense atmosphere in Chechi Kingdom had long disappeared, and everything seemed to have returned to its former calm.

Turning his gaze towards the Lion Camel Ridge, the many little demons that had been lurking there were all wiped out by the Six-Eared Macaque, and not a single one escaped.

The six-eared macaque was ruthless and decisive. Wherever he went, the little demons died one after another. The entire Lion Camel Ridge instantly became deathly silent, without the hustle and bustle and evil atmosphere of the past.

Until this moment, the mountain gods and land gods who had been blocking Lion Camel Ridge slowly withdrew the divine power they had exerted.

As the divine power dissipated, the oppressive atmosphere on Lion Camel Ridge gradually dissipated. However, the place became extremely deserted, with only Tang Sanzang and his disciples remaining here.

"Amitabha..." Tang Sanzang kept chanting the Buddha's name, his voice low and continuous, as if he was lost in some kind of difficult thought. His eyes were a little dull and his expression was dazed, obviously he had not recovered from his previous experience.

"Master, it's not good, Master, it's not good!" Zhu Bajie saw Sun Wukong coming from afar and shouted at the top of his voice. He shouted while trotting towards him, his face full of anxiety, "Since Master saw the Buddha, he has been like a demon, chanting the Buddha's name non-stop, and I don't know what he is thinking about."

Sun Wukong came back with big strides. He had just used some tricks to completely destroy the Lion Demon Kingdom together with the Six-eared Macaque. At this moment, he had just completed this feat and returned to his master Tang Sanzang without stopping.

Seeing Tang Sanzang mumbling the sutra, Sun Wukong could not help but frown and asked in confusion: "What's going on? Master just saw the Buddha and he is like this now?"

Zhu Bajie panted and said quickly, "At first, Master was fine. Master was so happy and excited to see the Buddha. He was full of energy. But after the Buddha left, Master became like this. No matter how I shouted, he ignored me."

After hearing this, Sun Wukong's heart moved and he began to think carefully. He recalled the posture of Tathagata Buddha when he left, and he always felt that it was a bit unpleasant, with a bit of "tiger head but snake tail". When he came, he made a great noise, as if he was going to overturn the whole world, but when he left, he was silent, as if he was afraid of being noticed, and there was a faint feeling of dejection.

Moreover, from what Sun Wukong observed, the retreat of Tathagata Buddha seemed somewhat undignified. At first glance, it seemed that he had to leave in such a hurry because he was in the wrong and Lin Nan's power was too strong.

Thinking about it this way, Sun Wukong vaguely understood the reason why Tang Sanzang was in such a state. He secretly speculated that his master might have seen the Buddha in such a miserable state, and his faith in Buddhism was shaken, which led to his current state.

"Master." Sun Wukong walked forward and gently helped Tang Sanzang up. He looked at his master carefully and saw that Tang Sanzang's eyes were unfocused and his eyes were scattered, as if his soul had drifted somewhere else. Although he murmured "Amitabha", his eyes no longer had the piety of the past, but were replaced by confusion and bewilderment.

"Master!" Sun Wukong gently shook Tang Sanzang again, trying to wake him up from this state of madness. However, Tang Sanzang was still immersed in his own world, showing no signs of recovery.

Seeing this, Sun Wukong immediately shouted, "Tang Sanzang!" He used his supernatural powers to shout, and the sound was like a huge bell, with the power to captivate and shock people, and it echoed over the Lion Camel Ridge for a long time.

After this loud shout, Tang Sanzang woke up as if from a dream, and his eyes gradually regained focus. He looked around in a daze, and finally his sight slowly focused on Sun Wukong.

"Wukong..." Tang Sanzang's voice was a little weak. He looked as if he had just woken up from a long dream. He was still a little dazed.

"It's me, Master." Sun Wukong looked at Tang Sanzang and asked with concern, "Master, have you fallen into a 'devil barrier'?" In Taoism, there is a saying of going astray and becoming possessed by a demon; in Buddhism, there is a similar saying, called falling into a demon barrier. And Tang Sanzang's state just now was obviously falling into a demon barrier.

"Wukong, Master..." Hearing Sun Wukong's question, Tang Sanzang lowered his head slightly, his eyes filled with confusion and helplessness. He was silent for a moment, and finally slowly said: "Master and disciple, can our journey to the West to obtain the scriptures really save the people?"

At this time, the Tathagata Buddha, along with the Bodhisattvas Manjusri and Samantabhadra, and the two venerables Ananda and Kasyapa beside him, returned from the Lion Camel Ridge. Along the way, the Bodhisattvas Manjusri and Samantabhadra kept silent in tacit understanding and did not ask the Tathagata Buddha why they were leaving. They knew that the Buddha's actions had their own deep meanings, and it was not appropriate to ask more questions at this time.

But Ananda and Kasyapa, who had been following Tathagata for a long time, did not have so many concerns. Ananda was the first to ask, "Buddha, why do we have to leave? The blue lion and the white elephant are fine, but Dapeng is the younger brother of the Ming King. Are we going to let them go so easily?" Kasyapa followed up and said, "Buddha, why don't you suppress Lin Nan directly, but let him slander our Buddhism like this? His behavior is really undermining the dignity of our Buddhism."

The face of the Tathagata Buddha was as calm as water, without the slightest ripple. He slowly said, "Lin Nan has just gained merit in humanity, so it is not appropriate to suppress him at this time. If we suppress him forcefully, it may cause many changes, which will be detrimental to our Buddhist sect."

“Moreover…” The face of Tathagata Buddha showed a trace of solemnity, “Now, not only Taishang Laojun, but even Lingbao Tianzun has taught Lin Nan the Dharma.”

"Lingbao Tianzun is teaching?" Manjusri and Samantabhadra looked at each other, and a hint of surprise flashed in their eyes. They realized that there must be some unknown secrets behind this matter. At the same time, they couldn't help but look at Tathagata Buddha with complicated expressions.

After all, Tathagata Buddha is Tathagata now, but before he became a Buddha, he had another identity. Therefore, they did not doubt what Tathagata Buddha said.

Ananda and Jiaye were somewhat puzzled. Ananda could not help asking, "Why did Lin Nan receive the favor of the two Taoist gods? What is so special about him?"

The Tathagata Buddha looked at the two Bodhisattvas, then looked at his two disciples, and shook his head slightly. There was a hint of complexity in his tone: "The cultivation of Lin Nan is not the ancient way of Qi training, and it is also very different from the current Taoist system."

"The ancient Qigong practitioners cultivated the Three Flowers and Five Qi and became celestial beings. Through continuous practice, they condensed their own essence, energy and spirit into the Three Flowers and Five Qi, and eventually transcended the mortal world and achieved the status of celestial beings."

"The current Taoist practice method is to form a golden elixir into a holy fetus, which is perfect and complete. You can also cultivate the three flowers and five qi to become Daluo. Taoist disciples practice the art of inner alchemy to condense their own vital energy into a golden elixir. After continuous tempering, the golden elixir can be formed into a holy fetus. In the end, they can also cultivate the three flowers and five qi to reach the realm of Daluo Jinxian."

"But Lin Nan's practice is not like that. The three flowers on his head are replaced by the Three Pure Ones Qi, which have now become the Great Pure Ones Qi and the Upper Pure Ones Qi. This method of practice is unprecedented and can be called heaven-defying."

The Buddha's expression became a little serious. "This method is unprecedented and may be the highest method in Taoism today. An ordinary Taoist who can cultivate one of them will be the leader of his sect and the best in the three realms. But Lin Nan has already gathered the energy of Taiqing and Shangqing in one body. His cultivation and potential are limitless."

The Tathagata Buddha continued, "If we rashly take action to suppress Lin Nan, even I am not sure. Moreover, I don't know if the two Heavenly Lords have any tricks up their sleeves on Lin Nan. If this leads to a conflict with the two Heavenly Lords, it will definitely not be a good thing for our Buddhist sect."

Ananda and Kasyapa's tone became complicated: "Has Lin Nan really reached such a point?" Their hearts were full of emotion. They might have looked down on Lin Nan before, but when Tathagata Buddha said it himself, they were shocked to realize that Lin Nan had actually reached such a terrifying point that even the Buddha was afraid of him and did not dare to suppress him easily.

Manjusri and Samantabhadra looked at each other, and they had some other thoughts in their hearts. As two people who had turned from ancient golden immortals to Buddhism, they knew that there was a complicated relationship between Tathagata and Lingbao Tianzun. Therefore, in the hearts of these two Bodhisattvas, they more or less thought that Tathagata might have turned back halfway because he saw the mark of Lingbao Tianzun on Lin Nan, and did not dare to easily become an enemy of Lin Nan.

However, Manjusri and Samantabhadra did not delve into this issue. They just asked another question: "Buddha, originally our Buddhist sect should have flourished in this era, but Lin Nan suddenly appeared, and the Journey to the West may have complications. I wonder what Buddha's plan is for this?"

The Buddha Tathagata's expression remained unchanged, still maintaining that mysterious smile, and was about to say something. However, the next moment, he frowned slightly, as if he had noticed something.

His mind moved, and he suddenly realized: "Tang Sanzang... is trapped in a maze." When facing Lin Nan, the Buddha's expression was calm, without any fluctuation; when mentioning Taishang Laojun and Lingbao Tianzun, the Buddha was also calm. But at this time, sensing that Tang Sanzang was "confused" about the journey to obtain the scriptures, the Buddha frowned.

Because if something unexpected happened to Tang Sanzang, the journey to the West would be full of uncertainties. After all, the protagonist of the journey to the West is Tang Sanzang! If he lost his faith in obtaining the scriptures, or fell into an inextricable maze, then the journey to the West would probably be difficult to continue.

The Tathagata Buddha frowned and thought secretly in his heart: "We must think of a way to make Tang Sanzang more determined to obtain the scriptures. Otherwise, this journey to the West will probably fail."

On the other hand, after Lin Nan returned to Chechi Country, he was not in a hurry to start preaching. After all, he had just broken through the realm and needed a lot of time to consolidate his own cultivation. Moreover, although a group of Taoists in Chechi were short of resources and lacked everything, the only thing they had was time. They could calm down, practice slowly, and slowly improve their strength.

"People who practice Taoism have no shortage of time, but what Chechi lacks most is time!" Lin Nan stood on the Jiuji Mountain, looking in the direction of Chechi Kingdom, and couldn't help but sigh.

Since he traveled through time and became the national teacher of Chechi, he has been working hard to change the status quo of Chechi. He implemented new policies, spread new ideas, encouraged the people to develop production, and improve their cultural level.

In fact, over the years, thanks to his efforts, Chechi has undergone tremendous changes and has been deeply influenced by him.

However, such changes are still a long way from making Chechi a true humanitarian center and gathering humanitarian destiny.

This gap is not a shortage of population, but a complete shift in thinking.

Even though it had been a long time since Lin Nan established the Dao Court, he had also communicated with the King of Chechi State and all the ministers, and set the goal of making Chechi grow into a humanitarian center.

But in the actual development process, it always feels a little off. Although the lives of the people in Chechi Country have improved, their ideas have not yet completely caught up with Lin Nan's pace.

"Perhaps, I didn't think right." Lin Nan let out a sigh of relief, realizing this. He originally thought that time was enough, if ten years didn't work, then twenty years, if twenty years didn't work, then thirty years, as long as he kept working hard, he would be able to achieve his goal one day. But now it seems that time is running out. (End of this chapter)
