Super Bowl Domination
Chapter 1540 Grand Blueprint
Chapter 1540 Grand Blueprint
Chinese players have always been the pandas of the NFL. That is why every step Levi takes to create history is so powerful.
However, this is still not enough. Relying solely on Levi alone, his power is limited and he lacks the ability to follow up, and he still cannot change the essence of the market.
Only when football truly penetrates into the Chinese and even Asian communities and establishes its own mass base; only when more and more Asian players continue to emerge on the NFL field and form a force, can football truly open up the Asian market and tap into its market potential.
The development of any competitive sport must go through such a process, and rugby is no exception.
Li Wei got inspiration from Chi Youjun. He realized that he should make efforts and that he could really bring about change.
The key point is, what should Levi do, how should he use his influence and appeal to open up the situation?
Inspiration comes from JJ Watt.
Watt's foundation has been helping middle school students in North America, helping them tap their potential and cultivate a spirit of teamwork through sports activities outside the classroom. Although it is not targeting the professional arena, it is mobilizing the vitality of the younger generation with a long-term goal.
Levi believed that he could also learn from it.
So, a plan slowly took shape, and although it took some time, the entire plan finally had a blueprint.
Levi hopes to establish a training camp, not on the scale of a football school, but at most just a training camp. Starting with two training camp opportunities a year, he would expand the scale step by step to four times a year, and then see if he could have a longer-term and more stable future.
These camps are open to all students interested in rugby, covering everything from introductory experience and basic training to professional training and special guidance.
But the real core value lies in "an opportunity" -
An opportunity to enter the NFL, an opportunity to receive face-to-face guidance from top professional players and professional coaches, and an opportunity to get in touch with professional football in all aspects.
The whole idea went through many tweaks.
Initially, Levi wanted the training camp to be specifically for Asian students, aiming to open up the Asian market; at the same time, Levi wanted the training camp to be set up at the University of Alabama, where there was venue and space. They only needed to set up a scholarship to pay for travel expenses and bring players in from all over the world.
But later, all these ideas were overturned.
First of all, Levi should not just limit himself to young Asian students. He needs to get more young people involved and expand the foundation of rugby in an all-round way.
For example, Europe. For example, Asia.
For example, in North America, some young people missed the chance to go to NCAA Division I universities for various reasons. Watt is one case, and Levi is another. If it were not for chance, they would have missed out on professional football.
Secondly, instead of selecting players through a scholarship mechanism to come to the University of Alabama for training, it would be better to set up the training camp locally and allow more young people to come and observe, even if they just want to watch and generate interest.
Moreover, setting up scholarships in such circumstances allows them to attract more students to join the local area.
Thirdly, the real goal has been slightly adjusted. It is not to allow the missed players to enter the NFL. After all, the NFL's draft mechanism and training system are already very complete. Now every year, players from Europe, South America, and Oceania appear in training camps outside of the draft, using this as a stepping stone to enter the league.
The purpose is to expand the mass base of rugby and truly cultivate people's interest and hobbies. Even if they still have no interest in rugby after visiting, it doesn't matter, at least they can strengthen their bodies and broaden their horizons. Rugby is no longer a completely unfamiliar term, which is an important step.
Levi's idea is to establish a system, credibility and standards in Europe, Asia and North America as the first step, and then slowly expand globally.
Asia is the important target and priority; North America is the base camp; and Europe is because Levi has strong sponsorship support here.
After all, such a huge project cannot be accomplished by Levi alone. Levi came to Berlin to solicit sponsorship. The first target is Mercedes-Benz.
"…In the introductory and elementary stages, flag football is now very mature and can allow beginners to experience the fun of football while avoiding collisions and injuries as much as possible. The most important thing is that it is a game."
Haas looked at Levi, "What is flag football?"
Levi was stunned, "Sorry, please forgive my rudeness." He took it for granted that everyone knew it, but it was obvious that there was still some way to go before football could enter the mainstream vision.
"Flag football is a game where you tie a flag around your waist. When the opponent takes the flag off, it's like a successful tackle, sack, or defense. It turns the physical confrontation of football into a technical confrontation, which reduces the chance of injury."
Haas' eyes lit up slightly. This could indeed showcase the charm of rugby while at the same time reducing the physical requirements for people to participate in rugby confrontations.
The thought paused briefly in his mind, and Haas still maintained a calm and professional attitude, "But this shouldn't be the point, right?"
Li Wei smiled. "No, flag football is a very important part. If possible, we hope to hold flag football competitions regularly so that ordinary people can participate in football activities. This will allow them to experience the fun of football and understand the rules of football."
“In fact, the rules of rugby are not that complicated.”
Haas, "Are you sure?"
Levi, "In my opinion, it's not as complicated as baseball."
Haas chuckled, a rare moment. "What about the ice hockey?"
Levi raised his hands in surrender.
Haas's facial lines were noticeably loosened.
Li Wei then brought the topic back to the topic, "Flag football is the key to building a mass base, it is very important; but I understand what you mean, the league has been actively promoting flag football, their resources and energy are beyond my reach."
Haas, "Their urgency is far greater than yours."
Levi laughed dumbly, "So I will cooperate with the Alliance in this regard. After all, I work for the Alliance, so they can't possibly not give me some help, right?"
Haas's eyes lit up, and he had to admire Levi's cleverness. This was a good move.
Levi continued, "What is really attractive and unique about the training camp is the professional training. I will use my connections to invite the league's top players to come and give guidance."
"Quarterback. Wide receiver. Cornerback. Safeties. All of them."
“Also, I plan to invite top coaches to come and give professional advice.”
"Players have their own perspectives, and coaches have their own perspectives. They are different. Regardless of whether these students can enter the league and become professional players in the future, I hope this experience can leave something in their lives."
“The ultimate goal is to make people eager to attend the camp, to leave unforgettable memories in their youth, and even to become a summer camp that parents send their children to.”
