Super Bowl Domination

Chapter 864: Life Blooms

Chapter 864: Life Blooms
A drizzle of rain floated in the air. Karen tried to get closer, but Felix refused, and the two of them just stood there facing each other.

Not far away, Jenna and Jeff were completely stunned and stood there without the ability to react, watching this scene.

Jiang Yin couldn't bear it and could hardly bear to watch -

She understood Karen, 100%. She was the same during the AFC finals, watching Levi fall to the ground and be frustrated again and again. She didn't care about winning or losing the game, she just hoped that Levi could finish the game intact. So when Levi cramped and fell to the ground, she could hardly breathe.

Looking at Karen now, the memories came back again, and the drizzle in Atlanta was exactly simulating the scene of that night.

However, Felix did not give in.

"Mom, I thought I would die first. It should be me. Bone cancer recurred. We all knew the odds. I even asked Annie to write my eulogy, but... it wasn't me."

"Anne left like this. I didn't even dare to see her for the last time. I was a coward. When Anne bravely faced death and fought to the last moment, what was I doing?"

"I am worried that no one will remember me. I hope I will be immortal. I am afraid of death and pain. I am a coward and nothing. I wish I could have the courage to face all difficulties like Anne, but I don't."

"Now, at least I can fulfill a dream for Annie. I can fight like a rookie and accompany the chief to fight until the last moment. No matter whether we win or lose, no matter what the result is, we can face it with our heads held high and tell ourselves that we have no regrets."

"I, I hope I won't have any regrets, even if this is my end."

Karen couldn't control herself any longer, "Oh, God." She turned her back to Felix and burst into tears.

Jenna finally found out why Anne and Felix went to the church that night, but it was an unexpected answer that made her get to know her daughter again.

Jenna walked forward, squatted down, opened her arms and gave Felix a hug. She tried to say something, but found that any words were pale. In the end, she just hugged Felix tightly, "It's not your fault, it's not your fault."

In one sentence, Felix's entire defense was destroyed. "But she's gone. She won't be able to see the Super Bowl. She won't be able to see a rookie touchdown. Things shouldn't be like this."

Jiang Yin turned around and wiped the tears from her eyes, then took the initiative to walk forward and said, "Hey, Felix, maybe you should come to the box to watch the game."

If Jiang Yin remembered correctly, they could invite some people to the VIP box, which should be able to resolve the conflict between Felix and Karen.

Karen's eyes lit up with hope, and she turned to look at Jiang Yin, unable to hide her excitement.

Unexpectedly, Felix looked at Jiang Yin and shook his head, "Thank you very much, Mrs. Li, but I want to be here."

Jiang Yin was stunned.

Felix took a deep breath and smiled. "Like a rookie, like Annie, we need to face our own storms."

"Yes, I can go to the box to watch the game today, but there is still no guarantee that I can see the sun tomorrow. Every day I have now is borrowed from God. I want to cherish it and make good use of it."

"Look, all these fans around here have come from Kansas City. We don't have tickets, but that doesn't affect our enthusiasm to fight with the team. We will all stay here and accompany the team to complete this battle. No matter it rains heavily or snows, we will not leave."

"This is my promise to Anne, to stop being afraid and face it bravely."

"Of course I would love to be in the stands, but I am very happy with where I am now and I am not leaving or backing down."

Jiang Yin couldn't help but be stunned.

Now she finally understood what Levi's existence brought, which was courage and tenacity, dreams and hope.

At this time, Li Yi arrived at the scene with the paramedics, and quickly stepped forward to surround Felix. Jiang Yin and Jenna quickly stood up to make way. The two mothers walked towards Karen at the same time. Donna was already standing next to her, offering Karen a shoulder.

Karen's eyes were still filled with tears, and she smiled bitterly, "Am I too greedy? Felix has been borrowed from God for several months, but I still..."

Just as Felix said, the doctor thought his life might end three months ago, so Felix had been preparing himself mentally, but he didn't expect that, day after day, Felix held on, and it was Anne who left first.

Then, Karen slowly began to become greedy, hoping that her son could hold on a little longer, and that desire became more and more overwhelming.

After saying it, Karen realized what she said. She turned to look at Jenna and said, "I'm sorry, I'm not..."

Jenna stopped Karen, "I know. I understand. If it were me, I would think the same. And now..." Jenna took a deep breath, "I finally understand why Annie likes Levi so much."

Levi is more than just a football player. He is a rookie and an Asian who has made a name for himself at the position of running back.

He used his sweat and blood to make the impossible possible. He used his efforts and hard work to firmly grasp every minute of his life and burn it to his heart's content. What he brought was hope, enthusiasm and courage.

Life is limited, but how to expand every minute and second within a limited time and evolve into endless infinite possibilities is the meaning of life.

Perhaps, Anne was younger than everyone present, but her limited life was more colorful than most of those present.

Jenna finally let it go. She looked at Jiang Yin and said, "Levi is a good kid."

Jiang Yin's nose also felt sore.

Karen finally regained her composure amidst her chaotic thoughts. "Thank you for your invitation, but I think I'd better accompany Felix to watch the game at the entrance of the stadium. If this is the end of Felix's life, I hope he can end it in his own way."

Jenna almost broke down in tears.

Jiang Yin and Donna tried to persuade her again, but Karen could still change her mind, so they could only choose to respect Karen and Felix's choices.

Fortunately, after being checked by paramedics, Felix was found to be fine.

Jiang Yin and his group left the gathering place for the fans and walked towards the stadium. None of them spoke, and they all looked a little heavy-hearted.

Because they're all parents, Felix and Annie's story doesn't sound like Stranger Things.

At this moment, Jiang Yin stopped, stretched out his right hand and spread it in front of him, "The rain has stopped."

Everyone in the group looked up at the sky. The drizzle that had been falling for a while had miraculously stopped. Although the sun was still hiding behind the thick clouds, the sky seemed to reveal a hint of light blue among the light gray.

Maybe, this is good news.

Unable to help but, a smile crept up the corners of my mouth, my mood quietly brightened, I turned my head and looked around, the fans were cheering passionately and enthusiastically.

Then, Jiang Yin and Donna exchanged glances, and both of them joined everyone and shouted as much as they could.

"fly!"
